The inevitable plunge in the polls by Barack Obama is causing the DUmmies to implode in a big way as you can see in this THREAD with the enraged title of "You know who you are. Apparently DUmmie wowimthere just can't accept the poll results showing Obama's steep decline so he lashes out at the pollsters. His rage is matched by that of his fellow DUmmies which is what makes this thread so comedically entertaining. We need to be prepared to do the same or we need to be prepared to live with the result. So when the repubs try to swarm an election recount we need to out swarm them and push their asses somewhere else. When they try to rig the supreme court we need to plug the streets so nothing gets done around the court and the judges can't leave. When the cops and national guard are pulled in we have to convince them to support their neighbors rather than their overlords. Or we need to make sure that they spend months getting us moved. Everyone should buy a set of handcuffs and throw away the keys and then fill the keyhole with epoxy so they can't be opened and then chain themselves together.

CNN shows a map of the U.S.A. today - the states divided into red and blue. Funny thing - it appeared only 7 of the states were colored in blue. They want us to believe ONLY SEVEN STATES OUT OF FIFTY ARE BLUE! The rest they show as either red, "maybe" red or blue, or "could go either way". After 8 years of Americans watching our country and our lives being destroyed under the bu$h regime? Does ANYONE believe this? I think not. They have gone too far, and are too obvious this time. They CANNOT get away with it.

I noticed that MSNBC has added a new color to their maps. It looks green. It was never there before but now they have included it. You're right about the exit polls. I knew when they said the exit polls were off that the election had been stolen. Create perception that this is a close election so that this election is ripe for stealing. If most people know this and articulate it to the media then when you don't have to trust the media then you go to other alternative forms of news and what happens to traditional media? They lose.

The polling lies are a prerequisite for stealing the 2008 election. Face it people. The polls HAVE to be [kept] close so they can steal enough votes to steal the third election in a row. 2000 in Florida, 2006 in Ohio and 2008 in one of the purple states. I'm no pollster but it's not hard to see that simply changing the sampling size and make-up can change the poll results. Dam computers have all made it possible. Close polls, caging practices and talking heads planting seeds of doubt on expected turn outs should be consider the trifecta of stolen elections. The question is will Obama fold like Kerry did in 2004. If he does we're done as a democracy. Remember It's not the people who vote that count. It's the people who count the votes.

The very best polling I have seen in my lifetime is... half-assed, and slightly better than a guess.
The potential for error is huge due to the number of variables and the nature of human beings... and DUmmies.
I would no more accept a pollsters estimation of victory and stay home, than I would rely on the tooth fairy to pay my income tax.
The votes will tell the story. They will be counted, and, I believe the victory will not be a close-hauled as the polls indicate.

Just a few days ago the DUmmies were stating that the McCain poll bounce was "just the reds getting redder with the addition of a fundy to the ticket" and that there was "absolutely zero to worry about." Now they're saying that the polls are rigged? Poor DUmmies, you can't have it both ways.
At the risk of sounding like a pansy Lib...I sort of feel sorry for them. They had everything going for them just a couple of months ago.
This is a sudden and wrenching catastrophe for them. And since it is their identities, their lives, and their religion...it leaves them in despair, with nothing...and no-one to "cling" to.

One can HOPE some of them will CHANGE.
I will bet the "Undecideds" and "Uncommitteds" break for McCain/Palin at least 2-to-1 over Obama/Biden, given gaffe equality from this point forward and other things being equal.
Reason? Basically the press, publicity organs, and so-called "Opinion makers" like Hollyweird have been so far in the tank for the Obamessiah that anyone who might vote for him would gladly proclaim it to jump on the bandwagon, if asked. People love to be on the winning side, or the side that sounds like it's winning, anyway.
Conversely, everyone who thinks The Opossum would be a trainwreck (regardless of why) would try to evade a possible confrontation with a questioner perceived as already a partisan, and such an interview subject would dodge the flak by selecting the nonanswer, rather than speaking up for the partisan's enemy.
Just my instinct on it, but I think the press partisanship will seriously corrupt the value of the polls, and this will be one of the primary mechanisms of that failure.
The DU's problem is that it doesn't allow any meaningful dissent. So what you get is a gang of lock-step, cellar dwelling, dolts reinforcing each other's fears, prejudices, phobias and paranoia. So, if the polls show an Obama/McCain toss-up, then the polls are all, ALL, part of the corporate media conspiracy.
That's why in DUmmieland, Democrats never lose elections, they are stolen by the Repukes. Since everyone a DUmmie talks to is a Democrat, they can't imagine that anyone (other than ignorant, red state, trailer trash fundies) would vote for McCain.

In case any of you were wondering, Hurricane Ike looked a lot more like the product of one of Rove's weather machines than Bush's. I'm sorry if this topic is old to some of you but my power just got turned back on and this is my first time on a computer since last Thursday the 11th. On a similar note, I saw a flight of the "Fightin' 597th Levy Busters" fly over the other day as I was putting tarps over the holes blown in my roof. That was strange since there are no levys in the Galveston or Houston areas. I, myself live a good 24 feet above sea level. I suppose they could have tried to target the Galveston sea wall but that'd just be a guess. I figure they thought Spike Lee was watching them and nothing can stop an ariel assault faster than Spike Lee's disturbing visage.

Good point. As I mentioned a couple days ago, I think a big part of the reason why the DUmmies hate Palin so much is because they're bitter and resentful over her stealing Obama's thunder on the day of his DNC speech. That event (In the eyes of the DUmmies, anyway) should have been Obama's coronation, but instead it was largely ignored by the announcement of Palin as McCain's VP pick.
That fact coupled with the fact that now McCain stands a good chance of beating Obama, drove the DUmmies even more insane than they normally are.
