DUmmies Defend Democrat Culture of Corruption
"We're going to drain the swamp!" So declared Nancy "Stretch" Pelosi when she became Speakerette of the House, the implication being that it was the Rethuglicans who would be the drainees. Remember how the Dems were decrying the "culture of corruption"? Well, since then, it turns out that there is more than a little problem with the DEMOCRAT Culture of Corruption®. William "Cold Cash" Jefferson, anyone? And now add Good Time Charlie Rangel and Mad Maxine Waters to the list. Of course, compounding Queen Nancy's dilemma is that to bring discipline against these sleazy pols is to open oneself up to cries of "That's racist!" and thus risk offending the party's most loyal voting bloc. And November is only three months away.
So how do the DUmmies react? Do they want to see their party cleaned up by going after their own dirty dealers? Think again. No, this is all a racist, corporatist, DLC plot to go after progressives. Witness this THREAD, "Ethics panel to charge California Rep. Waters," and this THREAD, "Are ethics charges against Rangel & Waters purge of progressives?"
So let us now enter the Slough of Despond, that miry swamp lying on the border of DUmmieland and DC, in Bolshevictim Red, while the commentary of your humble guest correspondent, Charlie Henrickson, ready to expel Charlie Rangel from the honorable League of Charlies, is in the [brackets]:
Ethics panel to charge California Rep. Waters
["Rep." must stand for "Republican," right?]
A House investigative panel has decided to charge Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters of California with ethics violations. . . .
[Wha--WHAA??? A DEMOCRATIC with ethics problems?? Imposssible!]
Waters has been under investigation for a possible conflict of interest involving a bank that was seeking federal aid. Her husband owned stock in the bank.
New York Democrat Rep. Charles Rangel also faces an ethics trial this fall. . . .
[NO! Can't be!]
on separate charges that included failure to disclose assets and income, nonpayment of taxes. . . .
and doing legislative favors for donors to a college center named after him.
[The Quid Rangel at the University of Taxes-El Passo.]
Both Waters and Rangel are prominent members of the Congressional Black Caucus.
[They're Caucusians. . . . And now to the DUmmie comments . . .]
Sometimes the Swamp Must be DRAINED no matter the hurt/cost. . . .
The House Ethics Office is a joke. It's rotten from the head down.
[And it's run by . . . wait for it . . . DEMOCRATS!]
Well, then go after Pelosi who names the Democratic members of the committee. If it's a joke, it's her joke.
I knew Maxine in Sacramento, one of the most ethical folks around.
[Doesn't say much for Sacramento, does it?]
And yet the Bush/Cheney crimes not only go unpunished, but uninvestigated. . . .
[I thought Rove was indicted, no?]
So who is behind this?
[ROVE, of course! From behind bars!]
Why the attacks on high profile African-American reps?
[It's ethic cleansing, I tell you!]
What next? New charges against Barry Bonds?
[No, he's been Cleared.]
Posthumous charges against Michael Jackson?
[No, they're only going after blacks.]
"No benefit, no improper action, no failure to disclose, no one influenced: no case." That's what she said. . . .
["No justice, no peace!" That's what I say. . . . Now to the other DUmmie thread . . .]
Are ethics charges against Rangel & Waters purge of progressives?
[It's a prog pogrom!]
We are slowly being taken over. The next election we will have a choice between voting for the Right or the Far Right, your choice. Any errors in the way we vote will be corrected by the No Audit Possible Electronic Touch Screen Voting Machines (NAPETSVM).
[DUmmieland has been taken over by the No Evidence Needed Idiotic Out of Touch Posting Maroons (NENIOTPM).]
it's hard to believe these two Democrats are especially corrupt enough to single out in this way.
I see your "purge" and raise you a "racially motivated."
[The Race Card is played.]
Charlie is not going to roll over. . . .
[Unless it's on his lounge chair at the beach.]
He doesn't seem to have violated any franking rules. And he knows where all the bodies are.
[benburch is worried about his buddy Barney.]
what these two have done is very small potatoes and it looks like a concerted effort against black members.
[They're being disenfrenchfried!]
Charlie stayed in Harlem, always working to make life better for his constituents and they in turn elected him with 80-90% of their votes. . . .
He will be mildly rebuked, but the wingnuts will use it as election year fodder against all Democrats. . . .
[I can see November from my house! Hee! Hee!]
