HUffies Worry That Al Franken Unable To Steal Senate Election

(I'm back and so is Al Gore. I've been busy lately writing up the new "Al Gore At The Movies" reviews. Here is the first REVIEW about "Quantum of Solace." Okay, now on to the DUFU.)

The HUffington POst HUffies are worried that Al Franken might not be able to steal the election for U.S. senator from Minnesota. As a result, they are now calling for Franken to "find" missing ballots which really means manufacture missing ballots. You can find their concerns on this HUffie THREAD titled, "Franken Camp Calls For Investigation Of Missing Ballots." If Franken is unable to steal enough ballots to "win" then it is going to absolutely kill him. A Democrat sweep in the Senate and poor widdle Al is left out. How badly does that have to hurt him. So let us now watch the HUffies worry about Franken's possible inability to steal the election in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, who has been busy typing up Al Gore's movie reviews, is in the [brackets]:

Franken Camp Calls For Investigation Of Missing Ballots.

[Missing Ballots MUST be manufactured.]

Al Franken's Senate campaign called on the Minnesota Secretary of State to launch a comprehensive investigation into the possibility of missing ballots in the state's recount election.

[Possibility means fantasy.]

In a conference call with reporters on Monday, aides to the Democratic challenger said that they were growing increasingly concerned with news reports that ballots from Election Day -- which by state law must be recounted -- have gone missing.

"The number of votes counted on November 4th," said spokesman Andy Barr, "exceeds the number of ballots produced for consideration during the recount."

Marc Elias, Franken's chief lawyer, said that the campaign was not alleging foul play, noting that many of these missing ballots could be the product of administrative oversight or simple misplacement. But, with the election margin down to double digits (according to the Franken campaign's internal numbers, which they would not detail) he added that every single vote was of the utmost importance.

"[Missing ballots] should be a serious matter for cause and concern. That is why today we are calling on the Secretary of State to launch an investigation to find these ballots and make sure they are counted... to immediately instruct local elected officials to redouble their efforts to find all missing ballots," said Elias. "We know this is a close election... in an election this close we cannot let any lawful vote go uncounted."

[We cannot let any "missing" vote go unstolen.]

The Coleman campaign, too, has said that reports of missing ballots should be taking seriously -- and there is little indication that these missing ballots would benefit one candidate or another. For example, on Friday, 74 ballots were discovered missing in St. Louis County, only to be found in a locked counting machine inside a warehouse. The county auditor said that the ballots contained votes for Franken and Coleman. On Thursday, meanwhile, the Center for Election Integrity MN reported that 243 ballots had gone missing in Robbinsdale County, only to be later found. Of that bunch 143 were votes for Franken, 140 for Coleman.

Those cases, however, have been successfully solved. In a memo to the Secretary of State, David Lillehaug, another attorney for the Franken campaign, claimed that there were still five missing ballots in Clay County, three in St. Louis, and 13 in Washington County.

[So a total of 18 missing votes. Even if Franken wins them all, Coleman still wins.]

"In an election this close," he added, "these discrepancies should be cause for serious concern to every Minnesota voter."

[Especially if that Minnesota voter is named Al Franken. And now on to the HUffie rantings...]

I'm not from Minnesota, but I do hope Al wins. I have a really piss poor reason for that. It's just that I am sick and tired of born again, family values, hypocritic smarmy republicans with helmet hair who must spend a lot of time at the dentist for teeth whitening!

[A HUffie deranged by the thought of Republicans with their well-combed hair and white teeth.]

Hey AL...you may have to go back to Air America, that network that can't even retain a station in the country's largest media market that reaches past the island of Manhattan.

[Al can't go back to Air America. He already stole all the money he possibly could from the Boys and Girls Clubs.]

the republicans are getting cocky about this. Al just sit tight, and REFUSE to concede until Coleman just gives up, through it to the Supreme Court if you have to. If he can't have the seat nobody should. Contest, Fight, Never give up.

[I can just picture Al Franken camping out on the steps of the Capitol demanding his Senate seat.]

This means that the Frankenstein campaign thinks they are going to lose. Time to start blaming the good ol' missing ballots and the GOP for stealing another one.

[Quick! Find a scapegoat.]

it is so obvious that republicans can't win an election without cheating.

[A severe case of projection here.]

The GOP thinks it can tamper with election results - not this time.

[This time the Democrats think they can tamper with election results yet again.]

This is not good. Franken wouldn't be raising this if there was confidence the count was going his way. Those contested ballots might not be so good for him. According to Nate Silver Frankin's projected to win by 27 votes but that's looking at statistics. Franken's people have looked at the actual ballots.

[Yeah, when the Franken camp raises "missing ballots" you know they are really behind.]

Has anyone looked for the ballots under Coleman's mattress?

[Or up Franken's tush?]

Actually, it's 21. 5+3+13=21. But that's just picking nits as "Frankenstein" is still going to lose.

"I'm not from Minnesota, but I do hope Al wins."

I live in Minnesota and I hope "send your money to me" Al Franken loses. This state is "screwed-blue" enough, we don't need another foul-mouthed political wanna-be screwing things up for us in Congress as well.

Oh, really? You mean ACORN was registering illegal aliens, felons, corpses, and cartoon characters as Republicans? If it weren't for the above unqualified voting blocs, I'm afraid it is Democrats who can't win an election.

Franken and the DUmmies are worrying needlessly. The Democrats have mastered the art of election fraud. The fix is in.

Electing this half-assed comedian and failed talk show host to the Senate will make manifest what we already know----our government has become a bad joke. And the joke's on us.

I'm here, skul. For you. You knew I'd show up. Know why, big fella? Because you know I like a man who knows how to call his dog, herd his flock, muster his, shall we say, resources. You call, I come. Satisfied yet? Or do you need a few more minutes?

"The HUffington POst HUffies are worried that Al Franken might not be able to steal the election for U.S. senator from Minnesota. As a result, they are now calling for Franken to "find" missing ballots which really means manufacture missing ballots." PJ

Steal the election. Music to my ears. 'Nice to hear you wimps whining about it instead of my limpassed brethren for once.

DUmmies aren't calling for Frankin to find the missing ballots, Frankin's lawyers are calling for Minnesota's election officials to find them. An important distinction. Coleman's running around playing the same game - challenging hundreds of ballots and crying foul at every turn, as he should in an election that might be decided by a double-digit tally.

Let's get real. Frankin was not considered a serious contender when he entered the game. I doubt the DUmmies gave him a snow ball's chance in Hell. Neither was Alaska's DUmmie contender. They were both throw-away candidates. Symbolic at best. Then came the unknowable shift. Believe me, no one (except I, troglaman) thought either race would result in a DUmmie win.

Coleman's in trouble. The fact that the DUmmies, especially AL FUCKIN FRANKIN of "Stuart Smalley" fame made it a race at all is a minor miracle and a statement of just how far the RepubliDUms have fallen.

Just another testament that SNL is taking over the world.

I'm afraid I'm unfamiliar with the term "limpassed". I can guess what it might mean but the mental image of it's literal definition is disturbing so I'd rather not.

I could however be putting emphasis on the wrong syllable. (sylable? are there two "L"s or only one in that word?) So please correct me if my determination of the word ("limpassed" not "sylable/syllable") is incorrect.

"The fact that the DUmmies, especially AL FUCKIN FRANKIN of "Stuart Smalley" fame made it a race at all is a minor miracle and a statement of just how far the RepubliDUms have fallen." -troglaman

I disagree. Consider the criminal actions of William Jefferson, Barny Frank, and Robert Byrd to name a few. Flawed character has always been a resume' enhancement for Democrats while Republicans tend to 'trow 'da bums out'. Coleman is of the Dole-esque wishywashy Republican ilk.

Yes, I condsider association to SNL a character flaw.

So the surprise here is that a little known Republican (on the national stage) is winning against a candidate who has been in the public eye since the 1970s.

Stuart Smalley notwithstanding, why is Saturday Night Live's role in the election process seem to be increasing with each cycle? Why is it all of a sudden so important for candidates to make multiple appearances on a crappy sketch comedy show? Why do they need to be seen on Letterman, Leno, or The View for that matter? maybe it's time to bring back Fear Factor. If voters knew that Sarah Palin could eat more Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches than Biden & Obama, things could have turned out differently. Or how about a Slam dunk contest? Or see which one is most qualified to be Paris Hilton's new BFF? I guess Lilliputian politics are becoming the new order of the day.

You're close to the truth. Many people, especially young people, get their politics from SNL, Leno, Letterman, Stewart, Colbert et al. That's why politicans appear on their shows and tell lame, self mocking jokes and exchange japes and guffaws with the host. It's almost as pathetic (but not as funny) as seeing them perform on MSNBC or Fox.

Seems to be I read somewhere that someone compared Fox News and Stewart/Colbert watchers as to their general knowledge about things like if Iraq had something to do with 9-11. Guess who was better informed? I'd look up the link but I'm making some kick-ass oyster dressing (secret ingredient - bacon).

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Except you, skul. I'm sort of hoping someone mistakes you for a misplaced yam (I know I have) and covers you with molten marshmallows.

This cycle the media had to make some changes to align the level of vetting with the qualifications and experience of their chosen candidate. Obama's only proven talent is looking funny while reading bad jokes about the economy off a teleprompter so naturally SNL was a better medium to convey his message than, say, a town-hall debate or actual interaction with voters.

Presumably the knowledge gap came into play in that Fox News viewers are more likely to know that there were indeed sarin gas and other forms of WMD - and WMD precursors - found in Iraq in large quantities, or that Al Qaeda worked with Saddam and Baath far more extensively than the leftard media would have you believe.

What is funny, though, is this, from Zogby:

57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing).
81.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing).
82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing).
88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing).
56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).
Only 13.7% failed to identify Sarah Palin as the person on which their party spent $150,000 in clothes.
Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter.

Congratulations to you and the left in general on your success into dumbing-down politics to the point where people become retarded enough to vote for you!

You asses.

I remember that study/poll/whatever and the results were the opposite of what you are implying. IIRC it was Hannity/Colmes viewers who were the best informed.

They are also more literate since they are able to read the giant paragraph on the front of the declaration of war in Iraq which states that one of the aims of the war is to create democracy and improve human rights via regime change. Leftards would have you believe - and quite possibly believe themselves - that WMD were the be-all and end-all of the war. So screw you.

Haven't the Franken supporters already been digging up supposedly "Missing" ballots that they found in such places as the trunks of their cars?
The Frankenites are really growing desperate.
"Al just sit tight, and REFUSE to concede until Coleman just gives up, through it to the Supreme Court if you have to. If he can't have the seat nobody should."
Is this HUffy serious? If Al can't be a Senator no one can? What does he suggest, blowing up the Senate building unless they dismiss the electoral process and appoint the brainless, talentless SNL hack (I never liked him on SNL, even before he got into politics)?

Newt Gingrich, Ted Stevens, Tom Delay to name a few of the more visible faces. There are several more that are not so well known that were expelled and/or not re-elected.

On the other hand if one has a "D" by their name and a scandal (or two) they are given little more than a shrug by their constituents and a pat on the back by their collagues for being "so brave".

Would you like some examples of that too, or can you figure those out?

Sure. They, themselves, Newt (baby salamander...WTF kinda name is that for Christ's sake?), Tubes-Ted, and "The Hammer" had nothing what-so-ever to do with getting they're asses in a sling. Nothing.

These weren't grand jury indictments ,verdicts and shit, Ladies and Gentlemen. No. It was the REPUBLIDUMS that took care of these mother-fuckers and took them out at the proverbial knees!!

So...um...thanks, man. Thanks to anon and the rest you for ridding us of these RepubliDUm scumbags. You're true Patriots but there's much work left to be done. Get to it.

Don't you ever follow up? The grand jury shoppers in this case were shot down after all. Nothing held up. Republicans booted him not from the charges brought against him but because Republican Conference rules require a resignation in the case of an indictment.

Try reading a history book once in a while.

So they had to indicted first, right? Who's fault was that? Might anyone of these three model citizens you so valiantly and stupidly hold up as victims of DUmmie persecution be actually responsible for their indictments? Of course not. According to anon, these grand juries and, in the case of Stevens, trial juries, were all victims of DUmmie brainwashing. Works for me (not).

Anon's a delusional dumbass. Believe him/her at your peril.

As I said it was a result of grand jury shopping in Texas. When one was finally found (in Austin) that would indict (after 7 tries and 7 courts) the charges were thrown out.

As I said, a little research would save you a lot of the embarrassing ignorance you display so often.

As of 7/23/08 - "DeLay is involved in a federal probe in Washington about his relationship with former lobbyist Ed Buckham. Buckham, who became a lobbyist after leaving DeLay's staff, was close to Jack Abramoff, the disgraced lobbyist now serving a prison term. Bush could grant DeLay amnesty from possible federal charges. Republican Texas Gov. Rick Perry would have to halt DeLay's prosecution on state money-laundering charges."

Good 'ol Ronnie Earle has gone O-fer in all the "probes" and "possible federal charges" he's tried to tar DeLay with. Earle's "evidence" so far might be a mile wide but apparently it's less than a millimeter thick.

Again, you're veering far and wide from your argument that Republicans don't dump someone who is not behaving apropriately. Those Republicans I mentioned were no saints. I never said they were. The RULES for being Republican (as stated before in the Republican Conference) are that if it even LOOKS like you mess up, you're out. And like many others, he was expelled.

Whereas on the Democrat side if you're caught eating abortions and snorting crack with anarchist satanist terrorist prostitutes, then society is to blame and you should be re-elected. Heck, they'll even throw you a pep rally. They've done it before.

You're up early troglaman, busy night ahead?
