This is breaking and happening very fast. I don't have time for for the usual introduction, I want to capture the DUmmies before the DU mods have much chance to do damage control. Here's an excerpt of the New York Post STORY regarding Jesse Jackson's remarks:
"WASHINGTON - In a vulgar tirade caught on tape by Fox News, the Rev. Jesse Jackson said he wanted to "cut his [Barack Obama's] nuts out" and he accused the fellow Chicagoan of "talking down to black folks" by giving moral lectures to African-Americans, source said."

This was supposed to be a private conversation with the AA reporter.

Lot's of blacks feel that Obama is talking down to them and are disappointed with some of his changes in position since winning the nomination.
[A lot of liberals are disappointed with his position changes with regard to FISA since winning the nomination. Aside from that, he's been talking down to all of us.]
Just like lots of white folks on the left are disappointed for the same reason. It's like Obama USED the black voters to get the nomination and now he is dissing them to appeal to more whites.

Jesse Jackson sees this as a problem and fears that Obama may be turning off some of the black vote that he will need in November to win. More than anything, Jesse wants Obama to win. So stop trying to make this an ego trip by Jesse. Jesse has paid his dues more than most blacks, including Obama.

Well, this black person isn't disappointed with Obama nor is any other black person I know. I agree 100% with everything he's said about personal responsibility and how more black men should step up. It's not difference from anything that I have said, and I don't feel like he's sold me or anyone else out to pander to white voters..

Nice. Obama gets to portray himself as the reasonable voice of liberal identity politics while Jackson runs interference as the old school race monger.

So typical of the left. Forget about the FACT that it was Jesse who said it in an unguarded moment and blame FOX news and everyone else for it. Can you just imagine the type of things JJ says when he's NOT around a mic or in a studio? The man is a disgrace and has been for years. Jessie's only priority is Jessie. Plain and simple.

And they succeed because the African-American voting block gives 90% or more of their vote to the Socialist Democrats no matter who the hell they nominate.
As to a split in the black voting block, until that group en masse finally realizes the Socialist Democrats are pimping them to stay in power and finally decide to not blindly support them in elections, there will never be a split in that group.

When I was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base during my USAF career, I was simply stunned at how politics in DC were. I am convinced that if you cloned Hitler and ran him as a Democrat against Jesus Christ as a Republican, Hitler would automatically get 65% of the vote or more. It also helps explain why that city is a such a disaster; they keep electing Socialist Democrats who kept running the city into the ground until Congress finally had to step in.
Anyone, particularly blacks, who don't automatically march in lockstep to the Socialist Democrat groupthink get hammered for "not being black" or "trying to be white" or other such ilk. It's obscene and has helped to destroy much of the societal and cultural benefits blacks were achieving to help American society.
