Many DUmmies WANT the Supremes to overturn Obamacare!

As this week went along, it became increasing clear that the Supreme Court may very well end up ruling that Obamacare, AKA the ACA (Affordable Care Act), is unconstitutional. Where in the Constitution is the federal government given the power to FORCE citizens to buy a certain good or service? So it looks like Obamacare's days may be numbered.

The DUmmies are depressed, right? WRONG! Oh, some of them see this as a defeat, yes. But many of them are OVERJOYED! Why? Because this will now pave the way for the DUmmies' ultimate dream plan, namely, UNIVERSAL SINGLE-PAYER HEALTHCARE FOR ALL! The public option! Full-blown socialized medicine! Nirvana!

Hope springs eternal in DUmmieland, as we will see in a sampling from many threads. We'll link to at least one of them, this THREAD, "Why the Supreme Court Should Kill ‘Obamacare.’"

So let us see now how the death of Obamacare is really the rebirth of a dream, in Bolshevik Red, while the commentary of your humble guest correspondent, Charles Henrickson, grabbing a few minutes for a a brief deep-Lenten DUFU, after teaching in Indonesia and before the start of Holy Week, is in the [brackets]:

If the Supreme Court decides the mandate is unConstitutional. . . .

You will either be for what I and many others believe to be the best system; that being universal single payer coverage for every American from the cradle to the grave that will be funded by taxes. . . .

Or on the other hand you can continue to promote blood money for profit insurance as the answer to our nation's health care.

Universal single payer coverage! Yes!

Here's hoping that Obama has a universal care "nuclear option" in his back pocket if he "loses."

[Hey, I'm sure that was his plan all along! Three-dimensional chess, you know.]

And how will he pass it with the current congress?

[Um . . . um . . . Executive order? Yeah, that's it. Executive order.]

If the SCOTUS rules the mandate unconstitutional, the game is over. And we will have lost. Forever.

[I think you need somebody to pay for your Zoloft refill, DUmmie geek tragedy. Don't be such a DUmmie Downer.]

I believe the chances for universal single payer will actually improve as a result.

What do we do if the ACA is thrown out?

[Pop open the champagne bottles, baby, 'cause Single Payer is on the way!!! Freudenschade, baby!!! WHEEEEE!!!]

If its overturned, Dems won't touch Health care reform for another 50+ years.

How about we all get off our asses and work for candidates that will push for single payer.

[You lost most of the folks at "we all get off our asses."]

I'm starting to think that a loyal democratic voter is a fool. . . .

[This is news to you??]

Develop a “Public Option” so anyone could sign up with Medicare at any time. Watch heads explode.

[Would exploding heads be covered?]

If ACA is overturned then we will never see health care reform in our lifetime. This is it! If this doesn't work we will all die due to lack of insurance for the next 100 years. Nothing can be done. It's true, I read it here yesterday. Help us Obama-Wan you're our only hope.

[I detect a note of sarcasm.]

By killing the whole “Obamacare” law, the court will throw the system back into crisis mode, forcing the public and the political system to finally consider the only real answer: expansion of the Medicare program to cover everyone.

SINGLE PAYER is inevitable. Single payer was the best option from the start. . . . Single payer will come. . . . Single payer for all!

[Just make sure the single payer is some rich guy, richer than me.]

The White House should have pursued the Medicare-For-Anyone approach.

[They SHOULD have pursued the Everything-For-Everyone approach--free healthcare, free food, free iTunes, free money. . . .]

They did not have the votes - and that is per Bernie Sanders. He said that there were about 10 votes in the Senate for single payer - which Medicare for all is.

[Votes, schmotes! Who cares about votes? Just pass the darn thing!]

Politics is the art of the possible.

If the ACA is overturned Dems won't even think about National Healthcare for 50 more years. . . . The GOP will then use this as its path to killing Medicare and Social Security.

[Even I, Charles Henrickson, a constitutional conservative, am not THAT optimistic!]

How many Democratic Senators would you need in the Senate to get 60 votes for single payer?

[How many Democrats does it take to screw up a health bill?]

In a perfect world, if "Obamacare" gets struck down, a bipartisan group of legislators would get together and come up with a better plan to replace it.

[In a perfect world, you'd move to Canada and get what you want and leave the rest of us alone.]

And in this magic world, Medicare for all will be passed next day. Wow!

[Well said, Nadin! Let's all move to that Prog Land in our mind! It's kind of like an atheist version of Christian Science!]

to include compel and/or punish inactivity . . . is well beyond regulating activity entered into by free will. It is one thing to tell me how fast I can drive on a particular road, it is another to tell me I must drive on a particular road, and yet another to tell me I must drive. Just to bring it up a notch, the current argument seems to be that not only must you drive but that your employer will select your car for you but of course you will pay for it. . . . If you argue the power is unlimited, then what kind of government is created? . . . I'm f***ing astonished that so many find such things even remotely tolerable. . . . I really don't get it, what the hell is the thinking? Are we trying to be drones in a hive? Slaves? Serfs? Some new form of "small people" at the command of the state? Makes me f***ing sick to tears.

[DUmmie TheKentuckian, for this Brief--nay, Extended--Moment of Mental Clarity, not only do you win the Kewpie Doll for the DAY, I'm thinking you may have already wrapped up the Kewpie Doll for the YEAR! Congratulations!! This is pure constitutional conservatism you are espousing here! You are not far from freeperdom, grasshopper! Oh, and by the way, prepare for tombstoning.]

the belief that single-payer will rise from the ashes of a repealed ACA is insane. . . .

[Thus the appeal for the DUmmies.]

It is embarrassing to be a so called super power, but be the only Westernized country without freaking single payer health care. It just infuriates me.

[Toronto beckons.]

If the Court strikes down the healthcare legislation, and it is looking more and more like they probably will, then all I can say is that the voters ought to demand that Congress immediately get to work on passing and implementing a single-payer, Medicare-for-all type of system (which always was a better option anyway). . . .

[DEMAND it!! Immediately!! Who cares what it costs, or how to pay for it, or what it will do to the quality of health care, or how many stinkin' votes we need, and all that bullsh*t!! Just DU it!!!!!]

It has been reported that Obama has no contingency plan in the event it is struck down.

[I heard he does. A vacation in Barbados.]

Republicans are against healthcare.

[Yes, it's that simple. Only the federal government can do healthcare. There was no healthcare until the federal government came along.]

Either you believe access to decent health care is a basic human right or you don't.

[And only the federal government can give you this access.]

You have a basic human right to be forced to purchase something from a private enterprise?

This why I believe it should be funded in a fully public manner by taxes. . . .

[OK, I retract the "LFT." I see we're coming at this from two different angles.]

I want single payer. . . .

[I want my free stuff!!!]

well, my spawn report (from England) that they and their British friends think we're all incredibly short-sighted for not having some equivalent of the NHS.

[Then we could get that nifty orthodontic care that the Brits enjoy.]

I believe in universal single payor healthcare. I do not believe in being forced to pay money to people who profit by how much care they can not approve.

[How about those of us who do not believe in being forced to pay money to government bureaucrats--who do not even have a profit motive to keep them in business--who will still try to see how much they can not approve?]

Medicare for all!

[Socialism for all! Paid for by a few!]

Single Payer or Die.

[Vote for Single Payer or face the Death Panel!]

I guess I'm a socialist.

[I guess.]

DUmmies Worry About Changing Trayvon Martin "Narrative"

Once again, the DUmmies have crawled out on a limb with their preconceived script and as usual it is being sawed off behind them by the TRUTH. In the case of the DUmmies, they think it is a changing "narrative." See, in the original DUmmie fiction script, angry "white hispanic," George Zimmerman gunned down in cold blood innocent fresh-faced youngster Trayvon Martin with absolutely NO provocation. Unfortunately for the DUmmie script, facts have now crept in and we found out that Trayvon was suspended from school three times in the past year including at the time he was shot. Although the usual photo of Trayvon shows a smiling little kid, that pic was several years old since he was over 6 feet tall at the time he was shot and had gold teeth. However, Trayvon Martin did have the soul of a sensitive poet as revealed by his Twitter tweets revealed by the DAILY CALLER. Here is an example of Trayvon, with his Twitter pen name of “NO_LIMIT_NIGGA,” revealing his romantic side:

f*ck a bitch. any bitch. who you want. take yo pick, but you gone have to take yo time.

Oh, and now it turns out that our dear young sensitive poet attacked Zimmerman with a punch to the nose followed by beating his head on the ground. Had the neighborhood watch captain not shot Trayvon he likely would have been the dead one or at the very least suffered brain damage.

Now that these facts are coming out, the DUmmies are worried about how the "narrative" has changed in this DUmmie THREAD, "I'm detecting that the media is beginning to change the Trayvon Martin case narrative," and this THREAD, "Multiple suspensions paint complicated portrait of Trayvon Martin." So let us now watch the DUmmies as they take notice of the Trayvon Martin limb being sawed off behind them in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, sending his hoodie to the cleaners, is in the [brackets]:

I'm detecting that the media is beginning to change the Trayvon Martin case narrative

[What you're really detecting is the harsh REALITY about Trayvon Martin as the facts come out that has destroyed your fictitious narrative about a "young innocent" shot down in cold blood.]

To me this change in the media narrative makes no difference at all. Trayvon was unarmed. He wasn't committing any crimes and was walking back to the place he was staying, and talking with his girlfriend on his cell phone.

[Assaulting George Zimmerman wasn't a crime?]

So what if Zimmerman was bloodied up--Trayvon felt that he was defending himself from a stalker. End of story--Zimmerman should be arrested.

["Bloodied up" is the DUmmie way of referring to the uncomfortable fact that Trayvon punched Zimmerman in the nose and was beating his head on the ground.]

I think -- and hope -- they'll have a hard time changing the truth on this one.

[The DUmmies are the ones who need to change the truth to fit their fictitious script about this case.]

For all we know, Zimmerman might have slipped and broken his nose himself in aggressing the kid

[And then beat his own head into the ground in order to frame Trayvon.]

If you put any credence in the Sanford PD.. The partial report they released does mention Zimmerman being treated on-scene by the local fire/rescue.

The radio show I was listening to today mentioned something about Martin having been suspended from school for something but I had to wait for after the break to find out.

[Try suspended THREE times this past school year.]

I am reserving judgment until more facts come out, but if it is true that Trayvon approached. Zimmerman and punched him and then was beating Zimmerman's head on the ground (which is what witnesses have apparently testified), then Zimmerman has a very good self defense argument. I could not say he was not justified in shooting Trayvon under those circumstances. And quite honestly, the cops will have handled the matter properly.

[Your tombstoning ceremony will begin immediately. And now to the next Trayvon Martin thread...]

Multiple suspensions paint complicated portrait of Trayvon Martin

[PLEASE! Stop leaking the ugly truth!]

In October, a school police investigator said he saw Trayvon on the school surveillance camera in an unauthorized area “hiding and being suspicious.” Then he said he saw Trayvon mark up a door with “W.T.F” — an acronym for “what the f---.” The officer said he found Trayvon the next day and went through his book bag in search of the graffiti marker.

Instead the officer reported he found women’s jewelry and a screwdriver that he described as a “burglary tool,” according to a Miami-Dade Schools Police report obtained by The Miami Herald. Word of the incident came as the family’s lawyer acknowledged that the boy was suspended in February for getting caught with an empty bag with traces of marijuana, which he called “irrelevant” and an attempt to demonize a victim.

[Irrelevant that he might have been a thug.]

Trayvon’s backpack contained 12 pieces of jewelry, in addition to a watch and a large flathead screwdriver, according to the report, which described silver wedding bands and earrings with diamonds.

[Perhaps Trayvon was merely designing jewelry for his Webelo activity badge. And now on to the DUmmie reaction to this Miami Herald story...]

Zimmerman's story did not pass the initial smell test because why would some kid attack a man for following him. However, assuming this is true and there is no conclusive evidence of that, Martin would have had an extensive history of theft, drugs and vandalism. That sort of makes it slightly more likely that Zimmerman was telling the truth about being attacked.

["Slightly more likely?"]

I have no clue what happened and will wait until all facts are out before saying what happened.

[You might want to mention that to race hustlers Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.]

Trayvon has no known history of violence;

[So he didn't attack his bus driver?]

Time to take the kid gloves off, folks. Time to smear this Zimmerman f*ck and everyone who supports him into the ground like the nasty little bug he is.

[When the truth is NOT on your side then go for the SMEAR option.]

DUmmies Sweat ObamaCare SC Decision

The best thing about if the Supreme Court decision going the way I hope it does on ObamaCare is that it will cause the DUmmies to go BERSERK. This means the DUmmies will become even FUnnier than they normally are. My best guess is the the Supreme Court will rule that the mandate is unconstitutional but not take a stand on the rest of it. However, if that happens, how does ObamaCare even hold up since there would be no funds to pay for it? Perhaps Obama could ask Congress to pass a tax for the ObamaCare funds but the likelihood of them complying with this request would be somewhere between Nil and None. Also Obama has to blame himself if the SC is hostile to him due to the fact that he publicly castigated the conservative Supremes in his 2010 SOTU address. Way to win friends and influence people, Barack. As to Anthony Kennedy... Has anybody noticed how he has been voting lately almost consistently conservative? One reason is that the "leader" of the SC liberal faction, Stephen Breyer, is a loon. Anybody out there remember his rationale about a year ago for voting AGAINST Second Amendment rights by conjuring up what he thought was in James Madison's mind as opposed to what Madison actually wrote? And Anthony Kennedy is going to be influenced by that lunacy? In the meantime it is FUn to watch the DUmmies bite their fingernails in anticipation of the ObamaCare (which most of them hated) decision as you can see in this THREAD, "Anyone here Really think Roberts-Thomas-Scalia-Alito-Kennedy WON'T Overturn Healthcare?" So let us now watch the DUmmies soil their diapers in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, chuckling over how the democrats FAILED to consider constitutionality when ramming ObamaCare through Congess, is in the [barackets]:

Anyone here Really think Roberts-Thomas-Scalia-Alito-Kennedy WON'T Overturn Healthcare?

[Beware the Five Horsemen of the APOCALITO!!!]

I never even went to college, but even I know they WILL!

[But...but all the liberal pundits are predicting 7-2 in favor of ObamaCare.]

Is only the mandate at risk?

[So if only the mandate is shot down, how do you PAY for ObamaCare?]

I was thinking. I think that's the only thing they are really freaking out about.

[The "only thing?" No Mandate, No ObamaCare. Where do you think the money to fund it will come from? ObamaBucks?]

They actually seem to have absolute royal-like power. No one can seem to stop them, even when what they do is outside their jurisdiction, and to all appearances, unconstitutional and maybe even treasonous.

[Yes, the DUmmies will go even more INSANE if the Supremes rule AGAINST ObamaCare or just the Mandate. The entertainment will be tremendous.]

It May All Hinge On Scalia...

[That means...GOODBYE OBAMACARE!!!]

Could you imagine if they rule the government has no authority
to force people to buy health insurance from a private company and have to pay a stiff penalty if they refuse to do it. Don't these people even read the constitution?

Don't predict which part will be struck down, but suspect they will accept the individual responsibility part. Will deny at least one part to further muddy the issue and appear to assuage their wingbat supporters.

[Most likely they will deny the part that keeps ObamaCare afloat...namely the Mandate.]

Perjury and other crimes should be enough to impeach them if there was actual justice.

[If there was actual justice you would be permanently confined to the Rubber Room and force fed with a funnel down your throat.]

They will hold that Congress can pass a tax to subsidize a national health system.

[And Congress will immediately do that...NOT!]

The Affordable Care Act is much much easier to overturn than it is to uphold, due to Congress's own cowardice and corruption. No severability or saving clause means it all goes. You might even see a six member majority.

[No severability clause means the Obama Regime FLUSHED their prize legislation down the toilet. Over a year of desperate effort to pass it...WASTED! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!]

"Rising Gas Prices Have Dented Obama's Rating: Poll"

Notice how liberals accuse conservatives of being "anti-science." Yet who is the MOST anti-science President of them all? None other than Barack Hussein Obama who continues to hold out the bizarre hope that windmills, solar energy, and pond scum can supplant petroleum as an energy source. This is especially laughable now that new technology is able to produce oil from the Alberta Oil Sands and shale deposits like the Green River Formation out West which has enough proven reserves to supply us with our energy needs for at least the next three hundred years. As to what is currently available just by pumping, take a look at this VIDEO about the oil boom at Williston, North Dakota. 24 BILLION barrels of proven reserves in the ground which means there are probably a lot more. So with all this oil available, what does our unscientific president do? Continue to underwrite solar energy companies which go bankrupt (after taking some of the money to donate to Obama 2012) and nix the Keystone Pipeline which can bring the Alberta Sands oil down to our refineries in the states. Is it any wonder that gas prices are rising as the same time as the Bamster's poll numbers are plummeting which is what worries the DUmmmies in this THREAD, "Rising Gas Prices Have Dented Obama's Rating: Poll." Of course, the DUmmies also buy into Obama's unscientific fascination with harvesting pond scum and other forms of "green energy" that have maybe enough energy to turn on a light bulb but not power large vehicles. Also prevalent among the DUmmies is the dopey notion of "peak oil" which declares we already got as much oil as possible out of the ground and it is all downhill from here in terms of production which completely overlooks the latest scientific advances in extracting oil from the tar sands and shale. So let us now watch the DUmmies bemoan Obama's plummeting poll numbers due to the easily avoidable rise in gas prices in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, powering this DUFU edition with DUmmie scum, is in the [barackets]:

Rising Gas Prices Have Dented Obama's Rating: Poll"

[Which is now causing a flow of flop sweat among the DUmmies.]

More than half of Americans for the first time expect Barack Obama to be re-elected - but that won't make it easy: Even as expectations have moved his way, rising gas prices have dented the president's rating on handling the economy, his overall job approval has slipped back under 50 percent and he's reverted to a dead heat in public preferences against Mitt Romney.

[Under 50 percent like down to 41 percent.]

The results of the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll mark two political realities: One, the sharp division of public attitudes for and against Obama, with continued greater intensity of sentiment among his critics. And two, the damaging political effects of rising gasoline prices, which have surpassed the federal budget deficit as Obama's single weakest issue.

[Let's see. I have to put gas in my tank at around 4 bucks a gallon so you expect me to drive to a polling station to cast a vote FOR Obama? Yes, I cast my vote for more HIGH gas prices...NOT!]

Americans by a broad 65-26 percent disapprove of how the president is handling the price of gas, which has gained 49 cents a gallon this year to an average $3.79. Strong critics outnumber strong approvers by nearly 4-1. And it's important: A vast 89 percent are concerned about the recent run-up in gas prices; 66 percent are "very" concerned about it.

[Have no fear, DUmmies. Those statistics will somehow translate into a PLUS for Obama at election time... Hee! Hee!]

The survey, produced for ABC by Langer Research Associates, shows a broader impact, underscoring the risk to Obama. His approval rating on handling the economy overall has lost 6 points in a month, to 38 percent, a mere 3 points from his career low in October. Intensity again is highly negative: Fifty percent strongly disapprove of the president's work on the economy, up 9 points to a new high in his presidency.

[Reading this, a lot of DUmmies are already reaching for their Depends.]

It would be great if we had some legislation that would speak to the speculation driving the price up. They are trying to make him fail and this is just one of their ways. Congress could help by putting some legislation in front of him, but with the worst do-nothing Congress in my memory, that is not likely to happen.

[Yes, DUmmies. It is the speculators fault that Obama continues to sit on his thumbs while doing NOTHING about actually increasing oil production.]

. Obama should start releasing the strategic reserves or at least threaten to do so to make speculators flee.

[We've been down that road before and guess what? Gas prices are now even HIGHER.]

at full storage capacity, the SOR would last about a month. Nationalizing oil production and refinement, OTOH, would be the best weapon in Obama's arsenal. He might catch flak from the right and conservative democrats, but prices at the pump would plummet precipitously. Surely, provisions for this action already exists in contingency plans filed under the National Security heading. USE IT MR. PRESIDENT!

[Hugo Chavez USED IT and oil production in Venezuela has FALLEN.]

I doubt if that strategy would work if the Koch brothers and friends were to cut production to stay ahead of the curve.

[Ah! That good old standby boogeymen. The Koch brothers. Did they also hypnotize Obama to withhold approval of the Keystone Pipeline...until after the election?]

So in other words we better get used to being bent over the oil barrel because the cynic in me doesnt believe things will be changing for the good for most of us any time soon as far as gas prices go.

[It will change right after a new president who believes in scientific REALITY is inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2013.]

Face it-Peak Oil isn't coming, it's HERE!

[A Peak Oil loon weighs in.]

The gas prices are not Obama's fault.

[Bush's fault?]

It's one of the best kept open secrets today that the world is running out of large crude oil deposits. It's running out. Flat. That's the scoop. The GOP can side step or deny the issue all they want but the fact is the jig is almost up. All the low fruit has been picked.

[What about the nearly 2 TRILLION barrels of "fruit" in the Alberta Tar Sands?]

Really? How do you know? Not to disparage anything you have said, it would be nice to have some references.

[LOUSY FREEPER TROLL! How dare you challenge DUmmie Peak Oil Dogma?]

Greedy, unrepentant Wall Street speculators want to hang this on Pres Obama

[Yeah. They somehow twisted his arm to promote pond scum energy production.]

I can understand 3 bucks a gallon. Even 3.25. It starts to hurt my budget bad after that. Others are saying it might go down next month. I hope. I have to keep my total bills under 900 a month.

[Pray to Blue Fairy for gas prices to fall under the leadership of the Sec. of No-Energy Chu.]

Solution: nationalize the energy industry

[Is that you, Hugo Chavez?]

stupid f*cking brain dead americans. apparently the hard lesson wasnt hard enough. maybe they got to have round two of republican oppression before it sets into that atrophied mass between their deaf ears. im so sick of fighting the republican's greed. maybe the dems should elect r's to office maybe when millions are homeless and starving they'll begin to wake up. talk about useless eaters. uneducated+uniformed=american voters

[LOL! That last line is destined to become a CLASSIC!!! Guess who is "uniformed" you brain dead DUmmie.]

I've held that belief for a long time. It ought to be obvious to any thinking American that the oil corporations are squeezing the public with high gas prices to oust Obama.

[Yeah, and they drugged his drinks so he would stupidly refuse to approve the Keystone Pipeline thus hindering the flow of oil to the refineries.]

I heard just yesterday how we should be proud of $5/gal gas because it's a sign of a strong economy. That's right WTOP (DC news radio) claimed yesterday that it was better for gas to be $5/gal than $2/gal because it showed a strong economy.

[Yes, my little DUmmie. Swallow that leftwing spin hook, line and sinker.]

Like it or not.. $4 gas is the line in the sand... point zero..
point zero.. where people have to decide between buying food and putting gas in their car. This will devastate any improvement in the economy and will mean the Mr. Obama is finished.

[Please STOP with the painful TRUTH!!!]

Where is the LEADERSHIP? Where is the "vision" for our country?
Where is the road map for the future?

[Bo the Portuguese Water Dog buried all that along with his bone in back of the White House.]

you would think....a Saul Alinsky trained community organizer would be a little more proactive and little less chicken about taking on the crony-capitalists of the oil monopoly on behalf of his employer, the American many with lowered expectations, Obamas' failure to vigorously pursue the crony-capitalists is his major sin and will more than likely cost him needed votes....this lack of fight and aggression have many believing that he is at best, an only okay president....

[I can already envision the campaign bumper stickers: Obama 2012: An Only OK President.]

What Rush Limbaugh Said

Did you hear the SHOCKING thing that Rush Limbaugh said? No, I'm not talking about his comments on Georgetown Fluke who supposedly has so much sex that she can't afford the nine bucks a month it would cost her to get birth control pills from Walmart. I am referring to the OVERLOOKED comments that Rush made this week on the subject of oil. If you want to know what will determine the outcome of this election it will be the economy, stupid, and most specifically about the UNNECESSARY rise in the price of gasoline due to Obama's idiotic policies which include promoting failed solar companies and ridiculous pond scum technology. So here is what Rush Limbaugh (and reiterated by Newt Gingrich) SAID that has relevance in this election:

...We've got it in shale in the Dakotas. We've got it in Alaska. We've got it in the Gulf of Mexico. There's one guy and his political party making sure that we can't get it. Barack Hussein Obama does not want this nation to be independent of Middle Eastern oil.

Nobody can convince me he does. He opposed building the Keystone pipeline to get oil from Canada, that would create eventually tens of thousands jobs, by the way. But he doesn't have that because his left-wing, fringe kook base would be really mad at him because they hate oil. They hate progress. They hate technological advancement. If they had their way, we would all be living like they do in the hills of Afghanistan. "Instability in the Middle East." That's one of the reasons for high gas prices. Well, wait, we have a solution: We have our own oil.

Rush gets it. Newt gets it. And hopefully whoever opposes Obama in November will get it. Everything else, including the non-existent issue of contraception, is irrelevant to this election. Gas prices are FRONT and CENTER which is why the DUmmies are pretty much avoiding the topic except in a peripheral way such as in this THREAD in which Ralph Nader offers a typically unworkable leftwing price control "solution" to the problem: "Ralph Nader: President Obama Can Do More on Oil Prices." So let us now watch the DUmmies discuss the rise in oil prices through the leftwing lens of Ralph Nader in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, hoping to score some more FREE gas via coupons, is in the [barackets]:

Ralph Nader: President Obama Can Do More on Oil Prices.

[By approving the Keystone Pipeline RIGHT NOW.]

Gasoline and heating oil prices are ratcheting up. In California, some motorists are paying over $5 per gallon. President Obama declared that "there is no quick fix" for this problem. Meanwhile, the hapless but howling Republicans are blaming him for the fuel surge as if he is a price control czar.

[Since he won't approve the Keystone Pipeline who should we blame. Rush Limbaugh? Oh yes, the DUmmies would love that.]

Your gasoline prices are not charging up due to strains between supply and demand. Speculation, with those notorious derivatives and swaps, is what is poking larger holes in your fuel budget, according to Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement lawyers.

[The rest of this is just more of the typical leftwing rant on the subject by Ralph Nader that you can read at the site. However, it does open the discussion up to oil by the DUmmies which you can see below.]

Has Bush weighed in?

I would hate to think that the man who sucked away enough votes to allow George W. Bush into the White House, who caused the problems that the current president will need many many years to fix, would now presume to instruct the president as to what to do.

[How many nights of sleep did Al Gore lose while cursing out Ralph Nader for denying him his "birthright?"]

I'm still free so far to explain that Nader is wrong about this. He wants to do something about oil prices and that's not the problem that America has. The problem that America has is we need to do away with our addiction to environment-killing, increasingly scarce fossil fuels. We will do away with it or it will do away with us.

[The fossil fuels are NOT scarce. As Rush and Newt pointed out we have hundreds of years worth that right here in the USA that can be tapped with the new technologies.]

There is no such thing as cheap gasoline. There has never been any such thing as cheap gasoline. There will never, ever be any such thing as cheap gasoline.

[I remember that gasoline was $1.49 per gallon in late 2004. That doesn't rate as cheap?]

Mr Obama spoke about oil price volatility due to speculative pressures having to do more with pricing than supply and demand 11 months ago.

[Mr. Obama also spoke about how he can't do anything about the rise in gas prices. So he continues assuming the fetal position without approving the Keystone Pipeline or tapping into our own HUGE reserves just sitting in the ground.]

Even if Mr. Obama could magically wave his hand and make Iran disappear from the face of the Earth, he could not control oil speculators THAT AREN'T EVEN U.S. CITIZENS, NOR EVEN DOING BUSINESS IN THIS COUNTRY.

[Sooooo.... How's that Chevy Volt working out for you?]

Do you even have a clue how modern markets are a cruel perpetual money machine that grinds billions into poverty?

[Apparently Che Guevara is hiding out in the jungles of DUmmieland.]

The GOP is giving O shit about gas prices. Coincidence?

[You mean Newt didn't say what he said?]

This is unconscionable and ridiculous.

[I agree. This country is sitting on a sea of oil and natural gas reserves and it is unconscionable and ridiculous that Obama continues to do nothing about it while the price of gas soars.]
