"What group do you think of as worse than al quaeda?"

The WORST thing you can do to the Left is to quote them accurately. Copy & Paste is their mortal enemy since it allows the world to see them in their OWN words. You can see yet another example of their inner loon in this DUmmie THREAD titled, "What group do you think of as worse than al quaeda?" Since the DUmmies agree with the Pink Sapphire that there is NO global war on terror, they look upon "al quaeda" as either benign or misunderstood or both. So let us now watch the DUmmies prove their complete looniness in their own words in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, thinking that a lot of AP staffers would agree with the sentiments expressed on this thread, is in the [brackets]:

What group do you think of as worse than al quaeda?

[DUmmies think the Boy Scouts are worse than Al Qaeda so the following responses to this question will come as no surprise.]

RNC

[Posted a DUmmie with a Karl Marx icon by his name.]

PNAC/BushCo. Chimpy McF*ckwad is just a puppet figurehead for the current regime.

[To get an idea of the juvenile DUmmie mindset, you have to realize that B.F.E.E. stands for Bush Family Evil Empire.]

...fundamentalist xians...like Dobson, Robertson, Phelps and Sheldon's little hate groups. I'd trust your average Afghani in a dark alley before I'd come anywhere near a f*ckin fundie!

[If you ever confronted a Taliban Afghan, you would barf up your pizza all over your Che Guevara T-Shirt.]

[Is that you, Rosie O?]

[Be more assertive. Take that question mark away.]

[The cabal that whisks you away to Wal-Mart detention centers in the middle of the night.]

That would be the neocon let's-go-back-to-fuedalism crowd.

[How about the let's-go-back-to-spelling-correctly crowd?]

PNAC

[So far PNAC is winning the DUmmie sweepstakes for the group worse than Al Qaeda.]

The PNAC may be more dangerous in their influence over powers that can actually do more damage than al queda ever thought of.

[Yup! Definitely PNAC.]

Blackwater Security

[This DUmmie would be begging for protection by Blackwater Security if ever confronted by Al Qaeda.]

Toss up between the Dominionists and the Russian mob.

[Yeah, those Dominionist suicide bombers are everywhere.]

Have you ever been at the beach and seen a really hot looking chick? Most likely all you will end up doing is just stare at her, drooling like an idiot. If you try to talk to her you will probably embarrass yourself with your clumsy pickup lines. Well, GOOD NEWS! I now have a product guaranteed to make it EASY to pick up lots of hot looking women at the beach. It is a product I have been using myself and fully endorse: the amazing HELICOPTER KITE. This helicopter kite flies like a helicopter. You can make it go hundreds of feet into the air or hover it just a couple of feet off the ground. The propellor rotation is done entirely by windpower. So how does this help you pick up chicks? Simple. Just hover this helicopter kite a few feet off the ground near the hot beach chick of your choice. In most cases they will be overcome with curiosity and come over to YOU to ask about it. I've run a little experiment on this and it works on about 75% of the women (catch and release in my case since I'm married). My advice is to keep the conversation initially focused on the helicopter kite until you can later make a sneaky segue into asking her out for dinner. From that point on, you're on your own. Please check out the VIDEO of the INCREDIBLE helicopter kite. Not only was the helicopter kite aerodynamically designed but it is also MADE IN THE USA! So feel good about purchasing an AMERICAN MADE toy which makes the perfect method for vastly enhancing your social life. The helicopter kites have a LIFETIME warranty so all defective or broken parts will be replaced. Your purchase of the helicopter kite will not only provide you with lots of hot dates but it will also help keep the DUmmie FUnnies going. So take a look at the VIDEO and be AMAZED! DUmmies Hail Hugo Chavez Closure Of TV Station

Okay boys and girls. Here is your homework assignment. Since the MSM is RELUCTANT to cover Hugo Chavez's anti free speech efforts or label him as an authoritarian like they do Rudolph Guiliani, your assignment is to ask Jimmy Carter on camera if he would consider Chavez an authoritarian for closing down RCTV in Caracas. If you can get an answer to that question on camera and upload the video to YouTube, I promise to feature it bigtime in the DUmmie FUnnies. Be sure to contact me when you have completed this assignment. Meanwhile it is no surprise that the DUmmies are hailing the closure of RCTV by the Chavez thugs in Venezuela as you can see in this THREAD titled, "VENEZUELA: Fake CIA protests don't count!" Believe me, the Leftwing in this country would LOVE to do the same here. If given the power, the first thing the Left would do is Hush Rush. They are already trying to accomplish this with an attempt to re-institute the "Fairness Doctrine." Of course, the liberals will piously declare that the "Fairness Doctrine" is about getting more balance on the air but if you read the leftwing blogosphere, they don't hide the fact that the real purpose is to Hush Rush. So let us now watch the DUmmies cheer on the clampdown on free speech in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, reminding everybody about that extra credit homework assignment, is in the [brackets]:

VENEZUELA: Fake CIA protests don't count!

[Watch how the DUmmies rationalize Chavez's commie tactics...]

President Hugo Chavez is shutting down a RW CIA operation mistakenly called a "TV" station and not only does he have a perfect right to do that, it's his patriotic DUTY to do so.

[See. It RCTV wasn't really a TV station, it was only a RW CIA operation. Next they will call the Rush Limbaugh show a "RW CIA operation."]

For six years this RW nest of snakes has been trying to overthrow a DEMOCRATICALLY elected leader. This so-called TV station helped the coup in 2002 and they have never stopped aiding covert US forces since then.

[Coverage of the coup now called "helped the coup." BTW, what about the TV stations that covered Chavez's own coup attempt in 1992?]

He gave them plenty of warnings but they just kept up their SHIT! It is time for the FASCIST media to get it thru there head that everybody is getting sick and tired of their FAKE NEWS CHANNELS which are being used to overthrow governments by creating FAKE CIA protests.

[Damn that RCTV for continuing to cover the news even after being given a warning to mouth the Chavista Comunista line.]

Hugo Chavez was legally elected and he has duty to protect his people from covert attacks by other countries. RCTV is a threat to Venezuela's national security. Personally I think just shutting it down was being WAY TO NICE! The "reporters" cough cough, should be THROWN IN PRISON FOR TREASON!

[Imagine what DUmmie Joanne98 would do if given the least amount of power in this country. No doubt she would shut down Rush, Laura Ingraham, and a long line of other conservative radio shows.]

This should be a message to all in the FAKE MEDIA and their counterpart organizations... YOU ARE CRIMINALS and you are not getting away with this crap anymore.

[It just has to KILL DUmmie Joanne98 to hear any contrary opinions at all. Or should we call her Comandante Joanne98?]

All you SELFISH GREEDY RW CRIMINALS can go right to HELL! GOD BLESS HUGO CHAVEZ!

[And as Comandante Joanne98 plunges off the sanity cliff let us now watch her fellow DUmmies who agree with her hatred of free speech...]

Viva Chavez!!!

[Viva Chavez!!! Es mi dictador favorito!]

Viva Chavez back at you :-) - it is funny to watch the children of the rich protest along with the employees of the rich protest - Fox is going nuts - I am enjoying today more than I expected to.

[Woo Hoo! I just love it when Commies crack down on free speech. It makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside!]

Are leftist dictatorships OK?

[In DUmmieland...ABSOLUTELY!]

It's his patriotic duty to assume all the power and suppress opposition.

[Don't question his patriotism.]

RCTV brought this on theirselves and they deserve everything they get.

[They will say the same thing about Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham if the Left ever shuts them down.]

I don't guess it matters that RCTV has been around 53 years.

[Doesn't mean a thing. It's Chavez's patriotic duty as a "Bolivaran" commie to stifle all free speech.]

I think many of us are somewhat put off by the apparent cheerleading of actions that would be considered reprehensible if they were to occur here.

[Sorry DUmmie Flatulo. But if the Left were ever to shut down Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham, they would be popping open champagne bottles in celebration in DUmmieland.]

Indeed we need some of that Venezuelan Democracy in the US - heck I'd be happy if we could just get their voting machines and used their auditing system...

[...to elect Dennis Kookcinich as president.]

If you are worried about Dictatorship, perhaps the election thefts of 00, 02, 04, and nearly 06 might concern you. A congress where the GOP will fight the Election Reform Bill - a country where a fake reformer - Bev Harris - can be purchased to demand the real election reform bill HR 811 be shelved and a substitute that doesn't protect us H.R. 2360 passed instead because the replacement bill gives local officials more power while still requiring a "trail with audit ability" - not mentioning her replacement bill does not require audits and also prevents the computer code from being reviewed by the States - read about our election thefts if you want to learn about the rich and their "dictatorship of the GOP" attempts that are sadly all too successful in the US.

[That fake reformer, Bev Harris, sure conned your fellow Dummies quite easily. Oh, and Bev is just $10 away from overturning the 2004 election.]

The rules in Venezuela are narrowly drawn to achieve a specific purpose because the country realizes that the faster they devolve political power the safer their democracy will be. It's a society that was the most polarized by wealth in the world ten years ago. They want and need to change fast, and I don't see how any sensible person can complain about that.

[The DUmmie rationale for collectivization.]

There is no violation of the separation of powers. These measures have been used before and successfully to achieve specific goals and for a specified term.

[DUmmie DoubleSpeak.]

If the US Congress were to vote Bush the power to bypass the legislature for any reason, would you be outraged? Do you trust anyone with this kind of power?

[DUmmies already think Bush has absolute power. It is part of their Alternate Universe mindset.]

There's nothing slippery about it. Bush flouts the law.
Mr. Chavez is not flouting the law. And no, I don't think this Venezuelan practice would work in this country because our government is owned by corporate interests. That isn't the case in Venezuela today.

[According to the DUmmie mindset, anything Hugo Chavez does is okay with them because he is a "Bolivaran" Bolshevik.]

Chavez now has dictatorial powers that cannot be checked by the legislature. Do you approve of this because you happen to agree with his politics?

[Of course. Clamping down on free speech is just great with the Left if the instigator is a "progressive."]

Let's pay attention to the dictator we have here at home, and stop pointing our fingers at other nations lecturing them on the benefits of democracy and freedom when we have media that routinely lies to the people and a voting system that's so corrupt you have no way of knowing if your vote really counted. Get off your high horse, friend. We got enough problems here to be worried about what's going on there.

[DUmmies ignore the REAL dictators and focus in on imaginary dictators.]

Fox is denying my freedom of speech by holding its broadcasting license. I demand that they respect my freedom of speech by turning it over to me.

[Said a Hugo Chavez wannabee.]

Who Owned RCTV? Do you know? Do you Care? Do you think they had an anti-Chavez agenda? Did they take money from the US CIA in part to foment the 2002 coup attempt? Does that bother you? Do you know how many times they violated the media laws in Venezuela?

[Karl Rove owned RCTV?]

That this tyrant is defended on DU is saddening.

[LOUSY FREEPER TROLL!!!]

"Good Riddance Attention Whore" ---Cindy Sheehan

"Good Riddance Attention Whore." That wasn't some EVIL rightwinger telling Cindy Sheehan to get lost. That quote is from the title of Cindy Sheehan's own KOmmie THREAD resigning from the anti-war movement. It appears that Cindy feels betrayed by her own Democrats and probably has reached the limit on how much attention she can now get from the media. So let us now watch Cindy's resignation in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, noting that Ms Sheehan still has a pal in Caracas, is in the [brackets]:

"Good Riddance Attention Whore"

[Self recognition is the first step to curing yourself. Pied Piper Pitt could take a cue from you, Cindy.]

I have endured a lot of smear and hatred since Casey was killed and especially since I became the so-called "Face" of the American anti-war movement. Especially since I renounced any tie I have remaining with the Democratic Party, I have been further trashed on such "liberal blogs" as the Democratic Underground. Being called an "attention whore" and being told "good riddance" are some of the more milder rebukes.

[Nice shot there at the DUmmies. BTW, I would describe it as a "bolshevik blog."]

I have come to some heartbreaking conclusions this Memorial Day Morning. These are not spur of the moment reflections, but things I have been meditating on for about a year now. The conclusions that I have slowly and very reluctantly come to are very heartbreaking to me.

[George Soros not funding any more trips?]

The first conclusion is that I was the darling of the so-called left as long as I limited my protests to George Bush and the Republican Party. Of course, I was slandered and libeled by the right as a "tool" of the Democratic Party. This label was to marginalize me and my message. How could a woman have an original thought, or be working outside of our "two-party" system?

[Hmmm... Methinks Democrat money was paying your freight until you turned on them.]

However, when I started to hold the Democratic Party to the same standards that I held the Republican Party, support for my cause started to erode and the "left" started labeling me with the same slurs that the right used. I guess no one paid attention to me when I said that the issue of peace and people dying for no reason is not a matter of "right or left", but "right and wrong."

[Welcome to Democrat hypocrisy.]

I am deemed a radical because I believe that partisan politics should be left to the wayside when hundreds of thousands of people are dying for a war based on lies that is supported by Democrats and Republican alike. It amazes me that people who are sharp on the issues and can zero in like a laser beam on lies, misrepresentations, and political expediency when it comes to one party refuse to recognize it in their own party. Blind party loyalty is dangerous whatever side it occurs on. People of the world look on us Americans as jokes because we allow our political leaders so much murderous latitude and if we don’t find alternatives to this corrupt "two" party system our Representative Republic will die and be replaced with what we are rapidly descending into with nary a check or balance: a fascist corporate wasteland. I am demonized because I don’t see party affiliation or nationality when I look at a person, I see that person’s heart. If someone looks, dresses, acts, talks and votes like a Republican, then why do they deserve support just because he/she calls him/herself a Democrat?

[Um, Cindy. You are deemed a radical because you have been buddying up to the likes of Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro.]

I have also reached the conclusion that if I am doing what I am doing because I am an "attention whore" then I really need to be committed. I have invested everything I have into trying to bring peace with justice to a country that wants neither. If an individual wants both, then normally he/she is not willing to do more than walk in a protest march or sit behind his/her computer criticizing others. I have spent every available cent I got from the money a "grateful" country gave me when they killed my son and every penny that I have received in speaking or book fees since then. I have sacrificed a 29 year marriage and have traveled for extended periods of time away from Casey’s brother and sisters and my health has suffered and my hospital bills from last summer (when I almost died) are in collection because I have used all my energy trying to stop this country from slaughtering innocent human beings. I have been called every despicable name that small minds can think of and have had my life threatened many times.

[You need to be committed? Welcome to the club. Most of the rest of the Left also need to be committed.]

The most devastating conclusion that I reached this morning, however, was that Casey did indeed die for nothing. His precious lifeblood drained out in a country far away from his family who loves him, killed by his own country which is beholden to and run by a war machine that even controls what we think. I have tried every since he died to make his sacrifice meaningful. Casey died for a country which cares more about who will be the next American Idol than how many people will be killed in the next few months while Democrats and Republicans play politics with human lives. It is so painful to me to know that I bought into this system for so many years and Casey paid the price for that allegiance. I failed my boy and that hurts the most.

[Unfortunately we can't get Casey's input on this. Somehow I think he would disagree.]

I have also tried to work within a peace movement that often puts personal egos above peace and human life. This group won’t work with that group; he won’t attend an event if she is going to be there; and why does Cindy Sheehan get all the attention anyway? It is hard to work for peace when the very movement that is named after it has so many divisions.

[Such as Pied Piper Pitt's personal ego.]

Our brave young men and women in Iraq have been abandoned there indefinitely by their cowardly leaders who move them around like pawns on a chessboard of destruction and the people of Iraq have been doomed to death and fates worse than death by people worried more about elections than people. However, in five, ten, or fifteen years, our troops will come limping home in another abject defeat and ten or twenty years from then, our children’s children will be seeing their loved ones die for no reason, because their grandparents also bought into this corrupt system. George Bush will never be impeached because if the Democrats dig too deeply, they may unearth a few skeletons in their own graves and the system will perpetuate itself in perpetuity.

[We are just $10 away from Chimpeachment.]

I am going to take whatever I have left and go home. I am going to go home and be a mother to my surviving children and try to regain some of what I have lost. I will try to maintain and nurture some very positive relationships that I have found in the journey that I was forced into when Casey died and try to repair some of the ones that have fallen apart since I began this single-minded crusade to try and change a paradigm that is now, I am afraid, carved in immovable, unbendable and rigidly mendacious marble.

[Yeah. Being a mother to your other children definitely sounds like a plan.]

Camp Casey has served its purpose. It’s for sale. Anyone want to buy five beautiful acres in Crawford , Texas ? I will consider any reasonable offer. I hear George Bush will be moving out soon, too...which makes the property even more valuable.

[I'll consider buying if you take care of the fire ant problem there.]

This is my resignation letter as the "face" of the American anti-war movement. This is not my "Checkers" moment, because I will never give up trying to help people in the world who are harmed by the empire of the good old US of A, but I am finished working in, or outside of this system. This system forcefully resists being helped and eats up the people who try to help it. I am getting out before it totally consumes me or anymore people that I love and the rest of my resources.

[That's FUnnie. I thought it was your Final Press Conference moment which happened 10 years after the Checkers moment.]

Good-bye America ...you are not the country that I love and I finally realized no matter how much I sacrifice, I can’t make you be that country unless you want it.

[Wow! She smears America on her graceless exit out the door.]

It’s up to you now.

[I can get George Soros money too? And now to hear from the NUtroots of KOmmieland...]

Cindy, you walk with Thoreau, Gandhi, King...

[...and Pitt.]

Come back to Hawaii for healing, Cindy

[I would love to do some healing in Maui.]

Let's do it! The Camp Casey Memorial ...a memorial for peace.

[You are just $10 away from a memorial.]

We could raise the funds online, and issue a request for proposals from sculptors and other artists and architects online, and vote online for the best concepts, and promote Camp Casey via e-mail blasts and blogs.

[Bev Harris could handle the fundraising.]

Takes a day to incorporate, set up a board of directors, and pass some by-laws. The IRS form 1023 is the real bear. About nine months for approval if all is accurate and complete. $500 fee. Can solicit funds once an organization is formed, just cannot hold the org out as tax deductible until receive IRS sign-off. Once approved, contributions are deductible retroactively to incorporation date but must file an amended return.

[Quicker than you can say "Bev Harris."]

The centerpiece of the memorial should be a giant 'dollar sign'.

[Sayeth a KOmmie with unintentional irony.]

Now most Americans are so busy trying to keep a roof over their head and bills paid, and are so paralyzed by the ongoing assault of lies over radio and tv, that many of us are too stricken to respond to every administration offense appropriately. As a consequence, I think post traumatic stress disorder runs through our society.

[Another name for that stress disorder is Bush Derangement Syndrome.]

The Democratic Party has lost its soul (if it ever had one). They are beholden to the same multinational corporatists and faithmongers as the Repubs. I don't believe that it is possible to change them from within. But just so that you all understand how pessimistic I am, I don't believe it is possible to change them from withour either. In other words...we're F*CKED!

[Speak for yourself, John Alden.]

I left Democratic Underground a few years ago. I would stay away from that board.

[Why do you look down on the DUmmies? After all KOmmies are nothing but DUmmies with better PR.]

I left there a long time ago, as the politics were much too divisive. I wouldn't take an attack there as a serious representation of a large number of Democrats.

[I disagree. The DUmmies DO represent a large number of Democrats.]

There are some people on DU with mod privileges who have an agenda. If you're on their good side, you can get away with murder, but if you piss one of them off, boom, you're gone. No warning, no explanation, just booted. They'll tell you that when they moderate, they give out multiple warnings, have multiple mods agree on a banning, and take care to be fair. That wasn't my experience.

[Sneak attack tombstoning.]

It makes my husband so angry. We marched with a Democratic group in a Memorial Day Parade...but we wanted to carry our own signs rather than "Turn DuPage Blue". The Dems didn't want us to carry "The Bush Legacy: Corruption, Deficit, Lies" , "Jail Scooter, Impeach Shooter", and "Fight Truth Decay, Vote Democratic" BECAUSE the signs were too POLITICAL!!!!

[They didn't want to be embarrassed by your totally inappropriate BDS on display for all to see.]

Maybe there can be a few showings of "Sicko" with the proceeds going to cover your medical care.

[That's the good news. The bad news is that your medical care will take place in Cuba.]

Clinton, Edwards, Biden, they all have blood on their hands. It's time for an alternative....

[Kookcinich?]

You held a protest in Sacremtno at the end of October 2006. This is literally right next to CD-04 where Charlie Brown was running to take out John Doolittle (the MOST corrupt member of congress). But it's a district that also thinks very little of you, Cindy. Your presence just a week before the election hurt Charlie Brown's chances. Given the clsoe election, you may very well have cost him the race because you were unable to correctly analyze the situation in terms of political reality. For THAT, I will NEVER forgive you. I know people called you and asked you not to come. I know you were asked to call off the protest, or at least wait until after the election. But you refused. The protest was more important to you than insuring the election of someone who really would have helped end this war. I know it affected the election because I heard plenty of people tell me so. Doolittle had been using you as a campaign attack point for a couple of months, and you showing up in Sacramento validated his attacks for many people who were at that time still undecided. So thank you Cindy, for helping to continue this war and for FUCKING OVER my home district for another 2 f*cking years.

[Cindy Sheehan pulled the football away from Charlie Brown's foot as he tried to kick it.]

Ending the war is paramount and only more democrats in congress and the white house is going to make that happen.

[That plan about more democrats in congress sure worked out great, huh?]

Passion is one thing, ill-informed melodrama is another. Ms Sheehan is no asset of the left. Whether it's meeting Chavez, the alleged comments about AIPAC, the nasty aggression towards students who booed her speech (calling them "warmongers"), the "evil empire" nonsense or the histrionics about Bush being a worse terrorist than Osama bin Laden - she's a perfect example of adolescent, screeching extremism that undermines the seriousness of the left.

[That screeching extremism IS the left.]

"If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods. And the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It's the only good fight there is." ~ Charles Bukowski

[And now we know the source of much of Pied Piper Pitt's nonsense when he mumbles into his beer at Bukowski's.]

Cindy Sheehan Does NOT Lose Her Angry

It looks like William Rivers Pitt is going to have to quickly find his ANGRY because Cindy Sheehan hasn't lost hers over the Democrats caving in on the troop funding bill. While the Pied Piper conveniently lost his Angry in order to pathetically manipulate himself into a paying career job with the Democrats, Sheehan castigates those same Democrats for their cave-in. Pied Piper Pitt posted his pander last Friday and this DUmmie THREAD titled, "Dear Democratic Congress, by Cindy Sheehan," was posted on Saturday. Therefore it won't surprise me a bit if the Pied Piper suddenly rediscovers his Angry especially in the light of several snide DUmmie comments about that in this thread. So let us now watch Cindy Sheehan maintain her Angry in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, wondering if Pitt will now claim it was really his Bippee that was missing, is in the [brackets]:

Dear Democratic Congress, by Cindy Sheehan

[Dear Democrat Congress---please HIRE me, by Pied Piper Pitt.]

Hello, my name is Cindy Sheehan and my son Casey Sheehan was killed on April 04, 2004 in Sadr City , Baghdad , Iraq . He was killed when the Republicans still were in control of Congress. Naively, I set off on my tireless campaign calling on Congress to rescind George’s authority to wage his war of terror while asking him “for what noble cause” did Casey and thousands of other have to die. Now, with Democrats in control of Congress, I have lost my optimistic naiveté and have become cynically pessimistic as I see you all caving into as one Daily Kos poster called: “Mr. 28%”

[I see you are not losing your Angry like one DUmmie poster called: "Mr. Magic Man."]

There is absolutely no sane or defensible reason for you to hand Bloody King George more money to condemn more of our brave, tired, and damaged soldiers and the people of Iraq to more death and carnage. You think giving him more money is politically expedient, but it is a moral abomination and every second the occupation of Iraq endures, you all have more blood on your hands.

[I guess you don't by into the expediency rhetoric of Mr. Magic Man.]

Ms. Pelosi, Speaker of the House, said after George signed the new weak as a newborn baby funding authorization bill: “Now, I think the president’s policy will begin to unravel.” Begin to unravel? How many more of our children will have to be killed and how much more of Iraq will have to be demolished before you all think enough unraveling has occurred? How many more crimes will BushCo be allowed to commit while their poll numbers are crumbling before you all gain the political “courage” to hold them accountable. If Iraq hasn’t unraveled in Ms. Pelosi’s mind, what will it take? With almost 700,000 Iraqis dead and four million refugees (which the US refuses to admit) how could it get worse? Well, it is getting worse and it can get much worse thanks to your complicity.

[It looks like you won't be getting a staff position with Ms. Pelosi although the Pied Piper is still holding out hope.]

Being cynically pessimistic, it seems to me that this new vote to extend the war until the end of September, (and let’s face it, on October 1st, you will give him more money after some more theatrics, which you think are fooling the anti-war faction of your party) will feed right into the presidential primary season and you believe that if you just hang on until then, the Democrats will be able to re-take the White House. Didn’t you see how “well” that worked for John Kerry in 2004 when he played the politics of careful fence sitting and pandering? The American electorate are getting disgusted with weaklings who blow where the wind takes them while frittering away our precious lifeblood and borrowing money from our new owners, the Chinese.

[Did you know that John Kerry served in Vietnam...and Cambodia?]

... Congratulations Congress, you have bought yourself a few more months of an illegal and immoral bloodbath. And you know you mean to continue it indefinitely so “other presidents” can solve the horrid problem BushCo forced our world into.

[Congratulations Cindy, you are almost as wordy as the Pied Piper which is why I had to edit your overlong post.]

It used to be George Bush’s war. You could have ended it honorably. Now it is yours and you all will descend into calumnious history with BushCo.

[You just made Dingy Harry even more gloomy.]

The Camp Casey Peace Institute is calling all citizens who are as disgusted as we are with you all to join us in Philadelphia on July 4th to try and figure a way out of this “two” party system that is bought and paid for by the war machine which has a stranglehold on every aspect of our lives. As for myself, I am leaving the Democratic Party. You have completely failed those who put you in power to change the direction our country is heading. We did not elect you to help sink our ship of state but to guide it to safe harbor.

[If the reaction against Pitt in DUmmieland over his lost Angry is what I think it will be, it won't surprise me a bit if the Pied Piper shows up in Philly on July 4th in a pathetic attempt to ingratiate himself with the looney left again. I hope he doesn't get Philly Cheesesteak stains on his Midnight Cowboy outfit.]

We do not condone our government’s violent meddling in sovereign countries and we condemn the continued murderous occupation of Iraq .

[Do you condone pathetic pandering to kickstart a political career that never was?]

We gave you a chance, you betrayed us.

[Congress or Pitt? And now for the DUmmie reaction...]

I see that Cindy has not misplaced her Angry.

[OUCH! Pied Piper Pitt gets lashed right at the starting gate.]

Losing a child confers a Ph.D. in "Angry."

[BTW, what is interesting about this thread is that there is NO response by the Pied Piper. Perhaps he is busy conveniently trying to find his Angry.]

laughed so hard, I felt that one in the pit of my stomach!

[You mean in the Pitt of your stomach.]

My DNC calling card arrived in the mail yesterday; ya know the one saying Enough is Enough, send us more $$$$ to fight GWB. Well, with my finest red Sharpie marker, I wrote all over it what I thought the DNC could do with the quislers, aiders, abetters, Surrendercrats and Wimpocrats.

[How about pathetic panderers who can't find their Angry?]

Cindy is a huge thorn in the side of anyone supporting this debacle...

[Is a huge thorn in the side worse than a fire ant attack while sweltering in a Midnight Cowboy outfit?]

how could those who voted to fund more war and occupation not understand this???

[Ask the one who lost his Angry.]

this is not Bush's War anymore, it's Pelosi's and Reid's too. And BETRAYAL doesn't begin to describe their capitulation.

[Calm down. You need to lose your Angry.]

You're A Teenager? Ahhhhh Ok, That Puts Things In A Bit Clearer Perspective.

[Suddenly the Magic Man might be getting his Angry up.]

You Really Are So Silly Willy. This is Bush's war. Always was, always will be. No overdramatic and reactionary rhetoric from you is going to change that. And you are so silly willy with your whole 'one dimensional weak mind' illegitimate misguided simple minded attacks. Really cracked me up to read such nonsense! You really are quite a character cymbalta. Really really silly. Can't wait to see what silliness you'll spout out next!

[I wished I could have seen what silliness Willy spouted in the first place since this DUmmie is replying to deleted post #109. Was this a post by "Lost My Angry" Willy Pitt? And did he have his own post deleted?]

keep raging cindy!!!! i m with you till the bitter end!!!

[Pied Piper Pitt has your back...NOT!]

I've got your back Cindy.

[We know that isn't the Pied Piper.]

Dear Cindy, You're an idiot. Her cart blanche condemning of the Democratic Party demonstrates the sheer ignorance of the situation.

[Posted a soon to be tombstoned DUmmie.]

Now she appears to be not only craving Media, but also jumping on the old "Kick 'em while they're down to gain favor with the unhappy at the moment" Train.. I'm afraid that although I thought very highly of Cindy, since I first met her when I was filming the Downing Street Minutes in the basement of Congress, I've lost respect for her. I would defend to the death her RIGHT to say these things, but I'm pretty much through agreeing with most of what she says, except for "End the War". But I've always been for that anyway. Get back on track Cindy, quit pushing for the GREEN Party, and USING the DEMS when you do it.. They've bent over backwards for you, I SAW IT, and you are basically stabbing them in the back. All I've got to say, flame away, I don't care.

[You won't care about your tombstone ceremony, DUmmie symbolman?]

John Edwards is saying some of the right things, but I cannot bring myself to trust him based on his track record.

[The Pink Sapphire has your back...and is rubbing it with cucumber cream.]

I have voted straight Democratic since 1962, the first year I was eligible to vote. In all that time, I have never been more ashamed of my party than after your cave-in to Mr. 28%. What were you thinking? Have you no shame?

[They have no shame and Pied Piper Pitt has no Angry.]

William Rivers Pitt Is Missing His "Angry"

It looks like this is another example of William Rivers Pitt posting while drunk. See if you can make any sense of his tedious navel analyzing DUmmie THREAD titled, "MISSING: my post-vote Angry. I had it yesterday, and this morning, but now my Angry is gone." Of course, with Pitt, you have to look for an ulterior motive which isn't hard to find since he hides them quite clumsily. In this case, the best I can make out is that Pitt is showing his fellow DUmmies that he was as angry as they were about the Democrats caving in on the troop funding bill but that he now understands the reasons behind the cave-in although he still doesn't agree with it. Apparently Pitt still has not given up on his dream for being a PLAYER in the Democrat Party and is attempting to pander to them with this post. Sorry, Pitt, but you completely RUINED yourself 24 business hours ago with the journalistic fraud you perpetrated about Karl Rove being indicted on May 12 of last year. So let us now watch the Pied Piper Pitt comedy show in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, wondering if Bukowski's Brew is more powerful than Demon Rum, is in the [brackets]:

MISSING: my post-vote Angry. I had it yesterday, and this morning, but now my Angry is gone.

[MISSING: my post-vote Sobriety.]

Man, did I ever have my Angry going since that vote. Damn those simpering cowardly backsliding spineless chicken-ass congressional Dems, roared my Angry, they wimped, they folded, they blinked, damn it and damn them and damn damn damn.

[Sorry, Pitt, but you are trying a wee bit too hard here to be convicing. Damn, damn, damn.]

That was yesterday. Likewise, that was this morning. Somewhere over these last hours, though, the Angry I had like a hot coal in my chest went missing on me. I can't find it, can't summon it, can't wake it up or wrap my hands around it. Poof, gone.

[That's because faux anger was never there to begin with. Maybe you should copy and paste your previous line to convince us again on how "angry" you were.]

I need help.

[Check out the Boston AA.]

I need someone here to get me pissed off about the vote yesterday, to help me restart the boiler and stoke the furnace and get me back to that Angry. I was water-is-wet certain that Angry was the correct, righteous, proper reaction to that vote. I had it, and lost it, and hope someone can help me find it.

[Would someone in DUmmieland please point out to Pitt his Fitzmas fraud so he can get his Angry back?]

Where exactly did I lose it? Jeez, if I knew that, it wouldn't be lost.

[Check the bottom of the toilet in Bukowski's where you also lost your lunch.]

When did I lose it?

[Redundancy can be quite catchy as well as contagious.]

Hm...lessee...

[Pitt enters the uncontrollable drooling stage...]

I was gaming out the scenario that had the Dems repeatedly re-passing the timetable version of the supplemental, repeatedly re-sending it to the Senate for re-passage there, and then repeatedly re-sending it to Bush for repeated re-vetos. Lather, rinse, repeat. My Angry and I were both fairly confident this plan had a chance if used.

[And what did Harvey Rabbit and you think of this plan?]

But how exactly? The best pressure point I could see being effectively attacked was that mob of 22 GOP Senators facing re-election next year. They're already burdened by the millstone around their neck that has "I Supported This War" written all over it. They're in trouble at the polls. So repeatedly re-passing that sup would present these 22 with a Hobson's Choice: Support Bush, vote against the majority-supported timetable, and face defeat...or abandon Bush, support the sup, and maybe hold the seat.

[Pitt speaks political analysis into his beer stein.]

The game is in that second choice. Could we flip most or all of those 22, by repeatedly forcing them into public votes on the war, into fleeing Bush to save their seats? Could we push them into supporting the timetable by repeatedly cornering them with that choice? If it works, and most or all come to support the sup to save their seats, doesn't that amount to a bipartisan coalition in favor of the timetable, one that is large enough to override a veto?

[Everybody STAND BACK! Pied Piper Pitt is dangerous when gaming about politics.]

There are enough maybes, could bes, possiblys and concievablys in that scenario to fill an oil tanker, H.S. Thompson would call it "a very hard dollar," a long shot times a long shot...but damn if it looks feasible on paper.

[Unfortunately there are not enough howevers and therefores in that scenario to fill a rubber ducky.]

Meanwhile...

[Meanwhile... You are not even at the halfway point of your sobriety challenged rant.]

The GOP megaphone would clobber us with no-troop-support hyperbole, which we all know is garbage...but is apparently effective garbage the public seems to be swallowing. The last CBS/NYT poll told the tale: a huge majority dislikes the war, a goodly majority wants to withdraw, a similar majority wants timetables set for that withdrawal...but a significant majority is dead-set against anything that disrupts funding for the war they don't approve of.

[Spewith Pitt, recycling his garbage.]

Yes, that's from the same poll.

[Is this poll as accurate as the 2004 exit polls?]

Remember the poll they did in Iraq a year or so ago? According to the data, something like 90% of all Iraqis desperately wanted democracy as their governing principle. That same poll of those same people had approval for the creation of an authoritarian dictatorial regime around that same 90%...clearly showing a collective Iraqi desire for an authoritarian democratic dictatorship. Hey, works for us.

[Pitt loves quoting polls as filler material for his endless rants.]

The CBS poll provides the same kind of conflicted gibberish. Americans want out of Iraq, want timetables, they want this by big majorities...but they don't want anyone to touch the money that sustains the war they hate. Congress has the purse strings, people want the war ended, but people don't support congress' using those purse strings to end the war. A Rep. trying to thread that needle with legislation is pretty much doomed before they get out of bed in the morning.

[Speaking of gibberish...]

Yeah...that's about when I noticed my Angry was gone.

[Or was that when you finally awoke from your drunken stupor?]

Scant public support for cutting the war funds, combined with troop-support attack fodder served on a silver platter that could ravage our majority next November, a plan to send the sup again and again and again, premised on the theory that this will pressure enough GOP Senators into abandoning George, thus forcing the creation of a bi-partisan majority sizeable enough to pass the timetable and slap down any veto...

[Is there a poll on public support for Pitt to continue his wordy rant that barely makes sense?]

I've been known to go all-in with only an off-suit three seven, but that was just poker, maybe ten bucks on the line...and it was still stupid. No life. No death. No midterms. No consequences of any kind, and it was still dumb to bet that hopeless hand. I lost my Angry when I saw the odds here, saw how the available moves didn't stand much of a chance, saw those deranged poll numbers, played the send-it-again-and-again tape to the end, saw the margins involved there, and added in the awful fact that Bush is holding aces and betting them. His hand wasn't huge, but was enough to win the pot this time.

[Pied Piper Pitt is just ten bucks away from losing his shirt again by bluffing with a pathetically low all-in.]

I lost my Angry when I realized that the only thing as important as getting that timetable through is the absolute need to hang on to at least one branch of government. This realization forced me to swallow an ugly necessity: hanging on to one branch of government requires political and tactical moves that are awful when war and death are involved, but are unavoidably required right now.

[The only ugly necessity that Pitt swallowed the other night was watered down beer.]

People want out of Iraq, but do not support the one sure means of getting out available to our congressional Dems. We could have done the re-send thing, but the odds of success were slim, the time needed to do it was very long, and the beatings we'd absorb along the way could very well make the whole thing moot come next November.

[Pitt became moot on May 12 of last year.]

I may be missing something, so please tell me if I am. My Angry is gone, and all I've got now is this lousy Bummed. If you can help me find my Angry for this vote again, I'd be grateful.

[Let's put Pitt's Angry on milk cartons all over Boston and Newton. And now to hear from those among Pitt's fellow DUmmies who have not yet fallen asleep reading his screed...]

I'm still angry.

[And you will remain that way unto the End of Time.]

No doubt. But does that Angry deserve to be fired at the Dems? Do you have an idea that would stop the war?

[Pitt panders again. Give it up Willie. The Democrats will NEVER hire you as the next Bob Shrum.]

The polls supporting congress doing something to end the war were 75% in favor.Don't start with the damn polls.

[Pitt loves quoting poll stats. It's great filler material.]

Did you read my post? Everyone wants out, but is against the way out.

[Sorry, Pitt, but that DUmmie probably fell asleep by the time he got to that part of your looong post.]

I've apologized elsewhere for the nastiness exuding from me right now. My anger is very much intact. I am finding everyone explaining this crap insufferable at the moment. In a few years I may settle down and accept that we are totally f*cked, at the moment that is not an option.

[You need to accept the state which you described yourself as being in.]

Why do you think the Bushies murdered all our strong leaders? JFK, RFK, MLK...

[Oh yes. We all remember how it was Lee Harvey Bush who assassinated JFK and James Earl Bush who did the same to MLK.]

still have MY angry, and it's big enough that it's not likely to get lost.

[But will your Angry fit thru the Bukowski's doorway?]

I'm really surprised to see you apologizing for thise cowards.

[Accused a DUmmie, seeing thru Pied Piper Pitt's pathetic posted ploy.]

I'm not apologizing for anything. I know you're heated, but we are friends, so please avoid directing fire my way.

[Why shouldn't that DUmmie be angry at you, Pitt? You're the one who is obviously sucking up to the Democrat leadership just to advance your own non-career.]

I felt that anger, too...but it drained away after I couldn't come up with a single scenario that would have accomplished anything. I've been unspooling all of it for hours and hours. No public support for funding cuts + no real chance of success via the re-send tactic + exposing our jugular and possibly handing back control of Congress + no other moves beyond the symbolic I can think of = where we're at.

[Posted Pitt as he continues unspooling himself.]

They didn't have the horses. They could have gone all-out, could have re-sent the thing for months, could have cut the funding in defiance of massive public opinion...and the timetables would have still failed, but at the cost of the wee bit of government we hold.

[More RealPolitickle from Pitt.]

I'm not apologizing. But I seem to have separated my fury over the war et al. from my fury at these Dems. They couldn't win, and if they went Quixotic to show their spine, they'd still have lost but would have also imperiled our majority. We cannot lose that.

[Concluded Pitt in his Bob Shrum Essay Contest entry.]

And I'm not forgetting that we're friends; I'm arguing a point with you, not attacking you personally. If I did launched a personal attack on you, who would I have to go to Bukowski's with next time I'm in Boston? I don't want to go there by myself, after all.

[And now we have the secret of how Pitt keeps his friends. He foots their Bukowski's bar tabs for them. Is this part of his TruthOut expense account?]

NOT back down. Stand and fight, and damn the torpedoes.

[Admiral Farragut DUmmie.]

I feel like I've felt for a long time- all of us are on a f*cking roof waiting to drown, the government is ignoring us and the ones supposedly on our side, the only ones that care enough to save us-yeah the Democrats are saying "maybe tomorrow we can get to you." Trust your life with them?

[The Pink Sapphire has your back.]

Gonzalez is a criminal. Bush is a criminal. Cheney is a criminal. And they cow-tow and over respect to them, and Bush always wins because they don't have the guts for America to find out they are criminals, and NEVER want to lose their f*cking precious jobs that they have made meaningless. A congress full of hundreds of Neville Chamberlains.

[One Nancy Pelosi is quite enough.]

I feel betrayed by America. If the next storm doesn't kill me and the rest of my family, I will likely leave.

[There is a comfy Pyongyang neighborhood awaiting you.]

Their All Too Busy Kissing AIPAC Ass.

[Protocols of the Elders of Neocon.]

Goddamn DLC Lieberman's. Just keeping their f*cking powder dry. Well its becoming a desert because they kept their f*ckiing powder dry.

[It sounds like you need to take a powder.]

My Angry Is That Our Dems Let Bush & the Repukes Frame The Issue

[Is that you, George (rhymes with) Lackoff?]

The RW bastards keep moving the goal posts. It's gotta stop.

[We own ALL your goal posts!]

* * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Remember, those hot beach chicks are waiting!

p.s. Check out what one of our happy customers had to SAY about the amazing helicopter kite.

Head DUmmie Skinner Slams Democrats

Head DUmmie Skinner is a strange dude. If you have ever seen a rare pic of him, he looks like a 15 year old kid trapped in the body of a 14 year old boy. Rather than being a fiery leftwing firebrand he is a rather passive type who allowed DUmmieland to be used by various unsavory characters, such as Bev Harris, as an easy source to shill money. His failure to enforce even the simplest of netiquette rules such as cracking down on excessive profanity, allowed the Daily Kos to quickly surpass DUmmieland as the biggest web gathering place of leftwing loons. Daily Kos is flush with cash, albeit much of it from sleazy blogola activities, while Skinner is just barely managing to get by. He rarely even gets out front on issues dear to DUmmies such as the 9-11 Truther cult. However, I guess Skinner has now decided to slam the Democrats because he knows the DUmmies would never tolerate his normally passive attitude. Therefore we now see Skinner striking out at the Democrats for caving on the surrender timetable of the Iraq war funding bill as you can see in this THREAD titled, "If you are going to go down, there are times when it is better to go down fighting." So let us now watch Skinner and the DUmmies go down fighting in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble corresponding, hope that the DUmmies merely go down but not out so as not to deprive the DUFUs of continuing comedy material, is in the [brackets]:

If you are going to go down, there are times when it is better to go down fighting.

[DUmmieland or the Democrats?]

Like most of you, I am deeply disappointed by the so-called "compromise" between Bush and Congress, which does virtually nothing to move us toward an end to this disastrous war, while continuing to fund it.

[Your angst makes for OUR humor.]

As you all should know by now, I am a loyal Democrat, because I know there are extremely important differences between the two parties, and even if not all elected Democrats are perfect, they are, on the whole, much better than the alternative. I am also very much of a pragmatist, because I believe that sometimes compromise is necessary and proper in order to advance the greater good.

[GASP! You said "Democrat!" Don't you know you're supposed to say "Democratic?]

But I see absolutely no upside to this compromise. This was, quite simply, a display of cowardice on the part of our elected officials.

[The upside is all the comedy material provided to the DUmmie FUnnies by this Democrat collapse.]

Based on what I have read and heard in the media, it seems that the stated justification for this compromise is that we don't have the votes to override a veto by President Bush. Looking at the political reality in the Senate, I think it is almost certainly true that we don't have the votes. But I do not believe, either morally or politically, that in this case the inability to override a veto is a legitimate justification for utter capitulation.

[I like that term: Utter Capitulation.]

It's clear what the motivating factor is here. Some Democrats believe that if they fail to fund the war, they might appear weak, and they will be accused of not supporting the troops. And on some level they are right -- they would undoubtedly be accused of not supporting the troops. Normally, I think it is a good thing for elected leaders to think a few steps ahead politically and anticipate the response from the opposition. On some level I suppose I appreciate that they are being careful. But as of now I think we have officially gotten to a point (indeed, gone way past the point) where our fear of our opponent's attacks is leading us to abandon our most important priorities. If we are unwilling to take a stand on this -- an issue where the vast majority of Americans agrees with us, and which contributed hugely to our victories in the last election -- then there is no point in having the majority at all.

[You can give it back in '08.]

Democratic leaders in Congress have sent the message to Bush, loud and clear, that they are afraid of a fight. The president smacked us down like a group of pathetic schoolchildren, and all we can say is, "Thank you sir, can I have another?" The media sees that we wimped out on this one. They aren't spinning this as Democrats supporting the troops -- they're spinning this as Democratic soiled-underpants capitulation. And they are right.

[Soiled-Underpants Capitulation sounds even better than Utter Capitulation.]

What some Democrats in Congress have forgotten is that sometimes you can advance your agenda, and even improve your chances in the next election, even when you are not successful in passing your bill. Disagreements like this one inevitably involve risk, but they are also hugely important opportunities to illustrate the difference between us and them. This is our chance to show the country where we stand. And it is our chance to show the country where our opponents stand. Remember: We are on the same side as the majority of the country on this one. Surely it makes sense to raise the profile and show the voters, in the starkest possible way, the difference between the two parties.

[I think George (rhymes with) Lackoff calls this "framing."]

And it is well past time for us to publicly smack-down the ridiculous lie that opposing the war equals opposing the troops. By allowing ourselves to be so paralyzed by fear that we do nothing about this war, we are implicitly agreeing with that lie. We should welcome the opportunity, once an for all, to publicly and decisively tell the Republicans to take their faux love of the troops -- they love them so much that they insist on sending them to die in an open-ended, pointless war that even they know is already lost -- and cram it up their collective backside. It's time for a showdown. Let's settle this thing once and for all.

[Let's see. Head DUmmie Skinnner allows DUmmieland to be overtaken by the KOmmies and HE is giving advice to the Democrats? When is Dummieland going to have a yearly convention, Skinner, like the KOmmmies have? And local Pizza Hut meetups don't count.]

And while we're at it, let's call Lieberman's bluff. That guy knows that he only matters as long as he is caucusing with the Democrats. If he decides to bail and join the Republicans, then he's a nobody. Yes, it would tip control of the Senate to the Republicans, and that would be a bad thing. But if the Democrats grow some spine and show the country that we're serious about ending this war -- while showing over and over again that the Republicans support continuing it -- the 1-vote GOP majority in the Senate will be overcome in the next election. Until then, we can block their crap in the House.

[Great advice for the Democrats, Skinner. I hope they follow it. Hee! Hee!]

At this point, nothing requires us to pass a bill that Bush will sign -- at least not yet. We can keep sending him legislation that we know he will veto, over and over again. Each time, it will show that we're on the right side, and they're on the wrong side. And it will show that we have guts. If anyone is genuinely concerned about Democrats appearing weak, our unwillingness to take a stand on anything is a much greater sign of weakness than our position on the war.

[Speaking of appearing weak, Skinner, how about the many scams you allowed to take place in DUmmieland while you sat idly by sucking your thumb in the fetal position? BTW, Bev Harris is only $10 away from overturning the 2004 election.]

The time is now. Show this president that the Democrats are not to be f*cked with.

[A first here. Skinner uses a profanity and he comes off like a little boy trying to smoke a cigar for the first time. And now to hear from the other DUmmies...]

Emiliano Zappata: "I would rather die on my feet a free man than live on my knees a slave." Been my motto for years and I agree with you, Skinner. I wish the old dem party would come back. SIGH!

[Emiliano Zappata is only $10 away from soiling your underpants.]

We are not to be f*cked with, and somebody in Congress better get some damn backbone!

[Congress is only $10 away from getting some damn backbone.]

Now would be the time for a massive march on Washington.

[We hear that on a weekly basis.]

march this weekend

[Wrong. This weekend is still May.]

And we all know who the Dem powerbrokers are who quietly support the Lieberman approach on Iraq and terrorism.

[They are the the members of the Protocols of the Elders of Neocon.]

It is time to cram it up the backsides... Of a lot of people, from both sides of the aisle.

[Insert Ben Burch joke here...]

In that vein, where are you on impeachment?

[Asked Skinner's former friend, the sometimes sober Pied Piper Pitt.]

Still opposed.

[But you could be just $10 away from impeaching Bush, Skinner.]

My view is that we have squandered an important opportunity by capitulating so early and so decisively.

[Sort of like the way you capitulated control of your own DUmmieland and allowed it to be used as a base for scamming DUmmie suckers.]

Thanks, Skinner. Any possibility of getting the activist group going?

[DUAC! DUAC!

Well I just saw Edwards being interviewed By Chris Matthews. And he is not DLC compliant. He remains convicned that "Bush has to be stopped"

[The Pink Sapphire has your back.]

Are you going to start Anarchist Underground? ... If Anarchist Underground is too severe, we could change the name to The Populist Underground.

[aka PU. I like it!]

I've been avoiding DU lately, mainly because I'm just sick of finding out everything MY party is doing that I'm opposed to. This is just another time when they have said "I don't care what the people think, I'm going to bow down and let Bush kick me." There comes a time when they have to stand up to the bully, and I am losing hope that they will ever do it.

[How about Despair Underground? That works too.]

Somehow your postion does not make a lot of sense to me. Do nothing now, and hope that in the future things are different somehow, changed by some miracle or something.

[Uh-oh! A DUmmies takes issue with Skinner.]

I tend to think on a grass roots level. And here in rural upstate New York, one of the people I have enjoyed working with is not a democrat. He's a socialist.

[You say that like there's a difference.]

I've thought for years that the great unrealized potential of DU is in organization at the local level.

[DUAC! DUAC!]

For The Past Two Years Or So I've Been Saying It's Time!! TIME FOR REVOLUTION! If WE want to remain THE Democratic Party then WE will have to REVOLT!

[And you certainly are revolting.]

I am so disgusted it is almost beyond words. I am hoping that places such as Democratic Underground can help them understand just how disappointed and disgusted we are with them as Democrats. No one who votes for this monstrosity of a bill will ever see a penny from me.

[Hey Big Spender!]

Remember, those hot beach chicks are waiting!

p.s. Check out what one of our happy customers had to SAY about the amazing helicopter kite.

"A Collapse for Democrats" ---Russ Feingold

There is an old saying that states, be careful of what you wish for. The left wished desperately for the Democrats to win Congress last November and it happened. Problem is it is now turning into a nightmare for the left. The Democrats have now apparently pulled the rug from under the leftwing NUtroots by backing down on insisting on a pullout date for the Iraq troop funding bill. Senator Russ Feingold expresses the feeling of leftwing disappointment by the very TITLE of his Daily Kos THREAD, "A Collapse for Democrats." This follows on the heels of the DUmmies screeching betrayal in yesterday's DUFU EDITION. So let us now enjoy the spectacle of the left betrayed their own Democrats in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, noting that things aren't going so hot either for Feingold's partner in authoring really lousy bills, is in the [brackets]:

A Collapse for Democrats

[So how is that First Hundred Hours thing working out, Russ?]

This situation is a collapse for Democrats. We had a strong start, pushed back against the President’s failed policy and held our ground that the supplemental should include binding language to end the war. But now, as Congress gets ready to send the President a bill that does nothing to get our troops out of Iraq, we are just folding our cards. As one person commented under Greg Sargent’s great post at TPM cafe, "Send the Congressional Dems over to my place for some poker - I could use a windfall right now."

[That means the DUmmies were bluffing all along since Bush called their hand. The tell was that Dingy Harry's mouth was more downcast than usual.]

This is no time to back down. This fight to end the war isn’t something that we can just put off or kick down the road. As mcjoan pointed out, it doesn’t make any sense to wait until this "mythical September" when Republicans will suddenly decide that we need to get out of Iraq. Why should this wait until September? First Americans had to put up with a Republican Congress that did nothing, and now we are faced with a Democratic Congress that is giving the President exactly what he wants – continuing his failed policy and leaving our troops stuck in the middle of a civil war. Some strategy. We can’t back down when the stakes are so high. I know you’ll keep ratcheting up the pressure, and that’s exactly what we need right now. Now is the time to be pulling out all the stops to end the war.

[Senator Russ asking the NUtroots to act even NUttier. Thanx for encouraging some great future DUFU material.]

To answer those of you who asked if I would support a supplemental without binding language to end the war, the answer is no. I think this conference report is an affront to the will of the American people and does nothing to help change course in Iraq.

[Sorry. Game over, Russ. And now to hear from the Kookie KOmmies...]

Sen Feingold. What's the best way to put pressure on leadership?

[Hold your breath for 10 minutes.]

Senator, you should resign in protest. Give up your position in this corrupt Congress as a protest against the fatuous idiocy of both parties, and the treason of the Neocon Usurpation.

[Finally, a KOmmie suggestion I can agree with.]

Sit-Ins and Rowdy Street Protests

[Smelly T-shirts and really nasty language.]

If I believed in Hell, I would hope that Bush would rot there.

[A non-belief system that seem prevalent among the left.]

If the netroots have been burning up the phone lines, emails, faxes, why are they not listening? I have given up any hope that they have an ace up their collective sleeves for dealing with the most corrupt person who has sat in the Oval Office.

[The Democrats don't even have a deuce up their sleeves.]

Maybe the netroots should organize a close down of financial support until they are listening. A well organized action across the netroots for a day or two may very well attract their attention.

[Not One Damn Dime Day.]

Cut off their internet funding until they cut off war funding.

[You mean keep EVIL Republicans from accessing the Web?]

It isn't America anymore. Democracy in America is in cardiac arrest, and there's nobody around to revive her.

[Time to make that move to North Korea.]

If this is actually what ends up happening, I'll be dumbstruck. Well, only for a couple of seconds. Then I'll start screaming to tear the house down.

[Give me warning so I can feature your conniption fit in the DUmmie FUnnies.]

This latest news has been like a kick in the stomach.

[How long before you get your wind back?]

I'm both furious and heartsick over this. And bitterly, bitterly disappointed in the so-called Democratic "leadership".

[But don't you get all warm and fuzzy over Grandma Nancy?]

Time for your "Mr Smith" filibuster.

I'll donate $10 for every hour he talks.

[Senator Russ is just $10 away from a major filibuster.]

John Edwards is for sending a bill similar to the supplemental back to Bush and pressing hard in the forthcoming negotiations, not folding or playing the patsy.

[But will the Pink Sapphire play the pansy?]

They are handing the gop 08 and it is disgusting.

[Would you like a ticket to the President Romney Inaugural Ball?]

Just tried to explain that to Sen. Casey's office, but they don't seem to get that. They were full of nothing but B.S. Clear he will vote to fund without timelines and I doubt my call helped much, but it made me feel better to argue - nicely - with his staffer for 10 minutes. She said in so many words that the supplemental with no timelines is a done deal. There is already a "strong consensus" to do it, she says.

[Speaking of Senator Casey---has he turned into a potted plant since entering the Senate?]

a great idea for a non-protest protest hundreds of thousands on individuals all visiting their reps and senators at the same time. no placards, no shouting, just a physical demonstration of the breadth of opposition to this war.

[Don't forget to wear your V For Vendetta costumes.]

Thank you Senator. I was listening to NPR this morning when they reported that the Democrats were going to basically give Bush everything he wants. I was in such a red faced rage I almost wrecked my car.

[Were you the idiot who almost hit my van yesterday?]

All the news networks were running "Bush Wins!" headlines this morning. When will Democrats learn how to play this game?

[So how is that George (rhymes with) Lackoff framing thing going for you?]

We already gave you a majority, we've been calling and writing our congresspeople, we've even paid for television ads, what more do you want?

[A tush wipe---one square only.]

That is what makes me the most angry about it; the FALSE HOPE that the Democrats would actually draw their line in the sand here, and fight for it. They bluffed. Now they're going to fold.

[Freudenschade, baby!]

Keep it up Senator!

[Bob Dole is no longer in the Senate.]

have had it. I just can't continue to believe in the Democratic party when they let us down time and time again.

[You have a Hillary '08 fundraising e-mail in your In Box.]

Sen. Feingold, you sound depressed.

["A Collapse for Democrats" doesn't exactly sound like an upbeat thread title to be posting in KOmmieland.]

I am supporting Edwards who has many things in common with you, although not the AUMF vote. However, that seems like such a long time ago now. Fortunately, he is among the top voices as you are in ending the Iraq War.

[The Pink Sapphire has your back.]

MONEY HAS TO BE REMOVED FROM POLITICS.

[Gee. I thought Senator Russ, along with McCain, already solved that problem.]

We win both Houses with a message from the American people to end the insanity and the Democrats do NOTHING to change the Sadistic Dry Drunk Coward's plans. Keep playing with your worry beads Democrats, as you enable The Decider. Who needs Gonzo when you have the spineless Democratic Party!

[As I stated at the top of this DUFU edtion, be careful of what you wish for.]

Collapse and fracturing of Dems as witnessed on Daily KOS and how they turn their backs on Webb, Tester, and others... The big tent has come crashing down at just the WRONG TIME

[But at just the RIGHT TIME for the DUmmie FUnnies.]

the lunatics are running the asylum

[Said the sign at the KOmmieland entrance.]

Who do you recommend, Senator to replace Reid and Pelosi? Its a rhetorical question, I know, but we've given them all the support and patience and then some with no result, no leadership. I'm faxing both of them today and asking them to step down. Others may want to do the same.

[But who can provide better comedy relief than those two?]

Senator Tim Johnson of South Dakota must be crying tears of frustration, unable to propose legislation, unable to debate it, unable to offer ammendments, and unable to vote against capitulation to Bush.

[Senator Johnson is spending a Weekend At Bernie's.]

With the help of Karl Rove, Attorney General Gonzales, and other “loyal Bushies,” there is no longer a need for Department of Justice, a Constitution, or any future elections. Let’s all learn to be happy with competent Republican leadership for years to come.

[All Hail Our Mighty Emperor, Chimpus Khan!]

I cut off my monthly donation to the Democratic (0 / 0)
Party shortly after hearing about the pending timetable-less bill. It was not a pittance, either.

[It was a whole dime.]

Dems Collapse - it's pathetic

[But very FUnnie.]

But as for Reid, I say as before: out, out, out. Go back to Nevada and don't ever come back.

[What goes back to Vegas stays in Vegas.]
