The former Newton schoolteacher is AGAINST rape! And if you don't quite believe him, he will scream into your ear to convince you from now unto the end of time. I've been on this forum for eleven and a half years. For a variety of reasons, that enormous 4,000-days-and-more body of experience makes me want to believe the best about DU, because I love this place for reasons it would take another 4,000 days to explain.

The fact that a pre-school-level discussion on rape and the existence of certain self-evident truths regarding what women in America (yes, even today!) must endure is still necessary on this forum is a cold-water-in-the-face moment for me.

When I posted a picture of a woman saying that her school is teaching her how to avoid rape, instead of teaching everyone not to rape, I simply expected any replies to be of the "Yeah," "Truth," or "Right on" variety...because I want to believe the best of DU.

I spent the 1970s as a pot-smoking "freak" - I was too young to be a hippie - listening to the most out-there music I could find and playing bass guitar. Stoner culture in those days was surprisingly egalitarian, but dopers have always tended to be pretty laid-back, whether male or female. Guys tried to have sex with girls, but there were no roofies, date-rape drugs or the like, and guys who were too aggressive were definitely frowned upon by their peers. It was more like the hippie daze in that respect.

Pitt and those feminists are fools. How many laws are there against murder? Yet murders occur all the time. The same with rape. Most people know that it is wrong to murder or rape. Intelligent people (which does not include either Pitt, feminists, or the denizens of the DUmp) know that laws are only for basically honest people. Intelligent people realize that, due to the nature of the goblins in our society, they need to protect themselves from the goblins, either by avoiding such situations, or being able to defend themselves from the goblin(s).

They are not against capitol punishment. Ever see a thread about animal cruelty? They are ready to burn the perp at the stake.

HOW TO AVOID RAPE
I would suggest a Ruger LPC, a compact little .380 that doesn't pack a big punch but is small and very reliable.
For those who would like more firepower I would suggest a S&W M60. A very light compact .357magnum that that fits in a handbag and is quick to fire. Will usually drop an assailant with one center-mass shot.
For those women that are uncomfortable around guns, maybe a good bear repellant pepper spray or stun gun is in order.
For those that are against weapons all together. Sorry. You are just going to have to lay there and take it. Make sure you call the police if the rapist lets you live and make sure you have someone to blame like the school for not teaching people not to rape you.

Using DUMMIE logic, we should not be taught how to avoid spam, they should teach spammers to stop spamming. Normal, rational, people know they will never stop so it is best to get a firewall or just ignore and delete. But, as we know, DUmmies occupy their own reality apart from the rest of society so common-sense ideas will never make it through their noggins.
