Fox News Success Drives DUmmies NUts!!!

It's killing them. It is absolutely KILLING them!!! The DUmmies just can't handle the enormous success of Fox News. What has sent them into a frenzy is a STORY in the Hollywood Reporter about the incredible success this year of Fox News, "Fox News set for best year yet." It is just driving the DUmmies NUts and FUnniest of all are their lame excuses as to why Fox News is doing so well while the other cable news networks have their ratings in the toilet as you can see in this THREAD, "Fox News Set for Best Year Yet (CNN, MSNBC dip in ratings)." So let us now watch the DUmmies make hilarious excuses as to why Fox News is doing so well in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, noting that FNC unfortunately joined in on the wall-to-wall Michael Jackson death coverage, is in the [brackets]:

Fox News set for best year yet
Viewership solid as rivals take post-election hits

[But, hey, Mark Sanford got caught having an affair. Feel better now?]

By James Hibberd

Fox News is on track to have its most-watched year ever, showing significant ratings growth despite having just come off a highflying election year.

[Black mourning bands on sale here!]

With the second quarter coming to a close, Fox News averaged about the same number of viewers as the top three other cable news networks combined. And while rivals including CNN (-22%) and MSNBC (-18%) took hits following last quarter's inauguration-fueled boost, Fox News (-3%) remained nearly steady.

Compared with last year, the Fox News (averaging 2.1 million viewers, 509,000 adults 25-54 quarter-to-date) is up 35% over last year in primetime viewers and 48% in the demo. CNN (805,000 viewers, 210,000 in demo) fell 16% in viewers and 29% in the demo. MSNBC (787,000 viewers, 259,000 in demo) climbed 15% in viewers and about on par, -3%, in the demo. And CNN Headline News (553,000, 201,000) showed very strong growth, up 39% and 37%, respectively, and is on track for its best second quarter.

The new standings are strong enough to rank Fox News third behind USA and TNT among all ad-supported cable networks for the quarter among primetime total viewers. In its core demo, Fox News had eight of the top 10 cable news shows. It had similarly sunny increases for total day, while CNN and MSNBC were roughly on par with last year.

Earning double-digit growth after an election year is quite a feat for a news network. With Fox News best known for such right-leaning personalities as Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly, one might assume having a Democrat in the White House somehow helps boost viewership.

[It helps not to be blindly worshiping The One like the other networks which only echo each other in their praise of the Mighty Ozbama.]

A dominant political party indeed can fuel the popularity of opposing voices -- Comedy Central's "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" and "The Colbert Report" and liberal online news hubs Huffington Post and Daily Kos came to prominence during George W. Bush's tenure, just as talk radio conservatives like Rush Limbaugh and news sites like Drudge Report rose during the Clinton years.

But it's important to note that when Fox News took the ratings lead during the Bush era, some pundits declared that the network was winning only because a Republican was in charge. Those at the network get weary of outsiders assuming their success must be due to some fortunate external factor rather than their own day-to-day work.

[Heads, we WIN. Tails, we still WIN. And now on to the DUmmie excuses for Fox News success...]

the viewers of fox news have their exact parallel in the supporters of the ahmadenijad regime.

[This from the same DUmmies who were defending this moron's right to have nuclear weapons.]

Fox is bundled into cable packages. You can't not get it. That is why they appear to have more viewership. they are in more places. However, in the important advertising demographics, they are failing.

[And you can't not get your own stupidity.]

CNN is on as many or more cable systems as Fox News. Also, in the 25-54 demographic, which is most important for advertisers, Fox is the number one cable news network by a mile. What you are saying is inaccurate.

My theory is that the right wingers who give Fox those big numbers watch a lot of TV. On the other hand, progressives don't watch as much TV and spend more time on the Internet instead.

[Sorry for calling you a LOUSY FREEPER TROLL! It turns out you are really a DUMB DUMMIE MORON!!!]

Go to core Republican groups like small business owners and homeschoolers and you'll hear talk radio on all day. Go to core Democratic voting blocks like inner cities and you'll hear music on all day.

[Go to places where people WORK and you hear talk radio on all day.]

WTF? I understand CNN taking a hit, but MSNBC? Something's very wrong here...

[Because MSNBC is just as devout in their Obama worship as MSNBC.]

F*ck Comcast! F*ck Faux Snooze, Rupert Murdock (isn't he dead yet?) MSNBC should get a clue that people are sick of their private prison shit, while we're at it.

[Stand by! Your padded cell is almost ready for you.]

It means the Fox viewers are too dumb to change the channel.

[Yes, they just haven't learned that incredible technological feat of hitting hitting the remote button.]

The corporate establishment creates a manufactured youth culture in order to prevent dissent of the youth. The youth are obessed with sextexting, trying to get laid, playing video games, and other tasks instead of taking the time and really knowing the truth. It is our job to use Facebook and other social networking tools to provide the youth with the resources that they need to create dissent.

You know, most of us actually READ our news....... The no-neck droolers glued to Fox News.....well, not so much

[Chris Matthews is a thrill-leg drooler.]

All of the fundies huddle close to their TeeVees trying in vain to get out of the real world.

[Posted the DUmmie from inside the pile of empty pizza cartons within the dark recesses of mommie's basement.]

I believe that the Dem takeover has been a bonanza for Fox. A lot of anti-dem and anti-liberal people who never bothered to watch tv with Bush are now watching Fox so they can monitor the country falling apart.

[So how do you explain Fox News leading even when Bush was president? Or will answering that hurt your widdle head?]

I suspect that RWers, having no lives, watch TV in greater numbers than the rest of us, in terms of both time spent watching TV, and in percentage of individuals/households that actually watch TV. I mean, what would RWers do if they were not watching some inane TV show? Maybe go bowling? Go to an Aryan Nations meeting? Shoot up the local Post Office?

[Read the DUmmie FUnnies?]

Fox News Gets Higher Ratings Because They Deliver A Consevative Fantasy World Version of the News. Liberals don't live in a bubble fantasy world, and as such, they don't need Glen Beck or Sean or Billo to give them this conservo-facist-sexist-racist view of the world. This is also why AM radio does not work well for progressives.

[Posted the DUmmie from the bubble fantasy world of DUmmieland.]

They edit and twist everything to fit their WASPY agendas. Murdoch and the backers of FAKE NEWS could care less about the state of the country or the lives of its citizens. They just want control again, so they can keep fattening their pockets at the expense of real America. Unfortunately, they have "some" fooled into thinking they give a crap. My remote skips right over all of their bs shows. I want the facts. Real news. Which is why I check out a few online sites each day, and why I watch anything but the FAKE NEWS touted by their total hypocrites. Maybe one day soon their poor viewers will see the light and start realizing these "Christian", "patriotic", "family first", "homophobic" phonies aren't abstaining from anything but the truth. If you have the some research.

[Start the research at the Happy Farms asylum library.]

And I don't need to watch them in order to know what they're saying. I only need to log on to DU. Same with Free Republic. I've never once been over to their site, yet I know all about them. Half their watchers are rooting against them and aren't fans. Without the opposition tuning in for their laugh of the day FOX would sink like rock.

[I bet you say that about the DUmmie FUnnies but read it all the time. Hee! Hee!]

They need to turn them off at Hotels. I travel a lot and about every hotel has fox news on in the lobby and in the breakfast area. For some reason there is a policy at hotels that make them all tune to Fox. You can ask for the station to be changes and I have, but it feels like a loosing battle sometimes.

[The is a vast rightwing circuit in all those TVs that turn them automatically to Fox News.]

I am not a big Fan of Fox news, but... the people who run those hotels are not stupid. If they have Fox News on it's probably because it's the most popular news channel with their customers. Since the hotels are running a business, of course they will put on the channel that more of their customers want. And since Fox News is the highest rated cable news channel, it seems reasonable to assume that the channel would also be popular among hotel guests.

Fox news is left playing in hotels, hospital waiting rooms and other public areas because Fox solicited them to do it. Fox news was losing big amounts of money and viewership when they were 1st spawned. Their sales department went out and solicited those places to turn on Fake News.

[Or else they get a brick tossed through the window?]

Those f*cking hotels keep this shit on their tv screens because liberals and Dems are too busy or too scared to tell them it's shit, it's lies and if they want US to come stay in their f*cking hotels they'd turn that crap off!

[We win through intimidation. Turn off Fox News and you get a brick through your window.]

The last time I checked the ratings, Faux Noise was number 3.

[Did you also notice that Up was Down in your dimension?]

"Ed Schultz: If there's no public option I won't support Obama in the next election"

The DUmmies are in a temporary celebratory mood. Emphasis on "temporary." Why? Because South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford got caught having an affair.

Do not cry for me, Argentina!

I just met a girl named Maria! And suddenly that name,
Will never be the same to me.

Huh! How can your humble correspondent, a card-carrying member of the vast right-wing conspiracy, joke about the romantic travails of Republican Sanford? Simple. One because his syrupy e-mails to to girlfriend Maria are FUnnie plus I am glad he just vetted himself out of contention from ever being a candidate for President. Yeah, that's right. I am actually somewhat happy about this because I know something about Sanford since he is originally from right here in Fort Lauderdale and, believe me, despite his opposition to Porkopulous, ultimately conservatives would have been very dissatisfied with a President Sanford.

Remember how the DUmmies were so jubilant when Harriet Miers was shot down as a Supreme Court nominee only to end up with true conservative in the form of the ApocAlito on the high court? I look upon the Sanford affair in the same way. So enjoy yourselves for now, DUmmies, because it is only a TEMPORARY respite from having to confront the sad fact that you WON'T be getting a health care plan with a "public option" aka "single payer" aka "socialized medicine."

Ironically, Blowhard Ed Schultz was gleefully dancing over the Sanford scandal yesterday as you can see in this STORY. Ironic because the same Schultz is also quoted in this DUmmie THREAD title, "Ed Schultz: If there's no public option I won't support Obama in the next election." Sanford is temporary. No socialized medicine in their lifetimes is a PERMANENT depressant for the DUmmies. So let us now watch the DUmmies face the sad fact of no health care "public option" in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, looking forward to seeing a pic of Sanford's mistress since Argentine women have a reputation for being hot, is in the [barackets]:

Ed Schultz: If there's no public option I won't support Obama in the next election

[Unless Big Ed gets PAID for supporting a toothless happy face health care bill.]

WOW!!! he's on fire about the democrats caving in on the public option.

[Mainly because interest groups pay him via MSNBC sponsors to support "public option."]

He's not the only one. There's absolutely no excuse not to do at least a public option.

[Get used to your toothless health care bill looking something like this: "Resolved: Adequate health care is a good thing."]

This is the one issue that really affects my life...more than any other.

[But...but won't the Sanford affair warm your heart for all eternity?]

Yeah The Dems Will Stay HOME BIGTIME If Obama Plays "safe!" Mr. President are you trying to win votes or Lobbyist campaign CHECKS? YOU BETTER DAMN WELL FIGURE IT OUT PRETTY QUICK CAUSE IF YOU COME UP ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THISS ISSUE YOU AND US ARE ALL FU*KED!

[Party Pooper! Why can't you join all those DUmmies jubilantly celebrating the Sanford scandal?]

Ed is such a fiery redhead! I share his passion on the public option, but threats are hyperbole. It is our duty as citizens to lobby D.C. hard.

[Hmmm... I'm wondering if the Argentine bombshell will get a Playboy spread? Didn't that happen years ago with another hot Argentine chick, Fanne Foxe?]

I'm so heartbroken over Obama that I cannot emotionally deal with this right now. He has disappointed me on so many things.

[Would it make you feel better if I read you a dopey Mark Sanford e-mail love letter?]

Ed is emotional and says a lot of over the top things but on this I actually believe him. Healthcare is his passion right now and he is sick of being disappointed by the Dems.

[Please try to focus on Mark Sanford.]

Obama is not communicating well to the American people on his plans for health care. He needs to explain to people what he proposes and tell us approximately what it will cost -- and how much it will save. I realize that he can't predict the exact numbers, but he could explain how the tax money and private money now being paid for insurance would figure into the mix. What would the load be on those now paying for their own insurance? How can Obama's plan reduce the cost of insurance for everyone?

[Have you ever considered that perhaps Obama doesn't even have a plan and is merely voting "Present?"]

If we do not get a public option/hr676 then I will not vote for Obama or Reid (my senator) in the next election. Period.

[I'll match your NO vote for Obama with my NO vote for Mark Sanford. Feel better?]

There are two issues that are important enough to me that if there is not sufficient progress made on them, I will stay home. The first is the torture investigations and possibly prosecutions. The second is public option or single payer healthcare. I don't think we can grow our manufacturing sector or our clean energy industries unless we take care of the healthcare issue.

[A DUmmie doomed to be disappointed TWICE.]

Everyone's whining about the President but won't lobby their Senators and Representatives.

He'd better damn well VETO a plan that has no public option.

["Resolved: Adequate health care is a good thing."]

If there's no public option I won't support ANY Democrat in the next election!

[Keep focused on happy thoughts. Think Mark Sanford. Feel better?]

I'm standing with Ed.

[I'm standing with Sanford's Maria. Hee! Hee!]

What if Congress passes legislation with no public option?

["Resolved: Adequate health care is a good thing."]

If the Democrats can't force through some kind of public option with 59 f*cking seats, I'm done with them.

[I guess you didn't get the word from the Mighty Ozbama...There is NO MORE money. That wad was all blown on Porkopulos.]

I doubt if I will bother to vote next election if Obama keeps betraying "We the People". He needs to stand up for those of us who supported him.

Randi Rhodes began to talk about this while she was still with Nova.

[Health care or Mark Sanford? And was she spilling Ketel Ones all over her shirt?]

I think there will be something called a 'public option'--but
unfortunately-- for all,--the insurance industry will be in charge. I am glad to see Ed on fire about this.

[And don't forget to be glad about the Mark Sanford affair. Hopefully it can tide you over the PERMANENT deep gloom you are about to experience when the TOTUS can't get socialized medicine passed despite having a huge majority in Congress. "PRESENT!"]

"Obama's promise of a new beginning now hollow"

If you thought yesterday's DUFU EDITION, in which the DUmmies expressed deep disappointment with the Bamster, was an oddity you would be wrong. Right now DUmmieland is chock full of disappointment in The One as you can see in the very title of this THREAD, "Obama's promise of a new beginning now hollow." And the main reason for this disillusionment centers on health care. Yeah, there will probably be some sort of meaningless health care bill with a feel good theme such as RESOLVED: Adequate health care is a good thing. It would have just as much actual effect as RESOLVED: Blue Skys are nice. Or RESOLVED: Moms are great. Bottom line is that any health care bill that comes out of Congress will NOT have "public option" aka "single payer" aka "socialized medicine." And that is what is now driving the DUmmies NUts. So let us now watch the DUmmies quickly lose blind faith in The One in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent noting that the defunct Burdine's actually sold clothing with a BISCAYNE BLUE color, is in the [barackets]:

Obama's promise of a new beginning now hollow.

[Obama now voting "Present!"]

By Joseph L. Galloway | McClatchy Newspapers

Who stole our change?

[Change you can believe in...until The One enters office.]

Who hijacked a popular uprising that was going to put a stop to business as usual in Washington, D.C.?

[Someone who loves taking Air Force One joyrides?]

What happened to Barack Obama on his way to the White House?

[Arugula. Lots of it.]

The Republicans have been so busy trying to paint President Obama as a socialist, as a radical, as a Marxist, as a Muslim, as the Devil, that they haven't even noticed that he has become one of them.

[Oh, so now that you don't like Obama you conveniently relabel him as a wascally Wepublican.]

Oh, he can still talk the talk and he does that incessantly. But he seemingly can't walk the walk. He may still sound like a revolutionary but more and more he looks and acts like George W. Bush, albeit a George W. Bush who can speak a complete sentence in the English language.

[A George W. Bush constantly glued to a teleprompter.]

And bit-by-bit the possibility of change disappeared; bit-by-bit the hope of a renewed and reinvigorated American democracy and way of government faded away. Those who had held a dream in their hand closed their hand and crushed it.

[Sniff! Wave bye-bye to any chance of socialized medicine in our lifetimes. And now we hear from the DUmmie Peanut Gallery...]

Rec if you're getting tired of Bush's third term.

[Rec if you're getting tired of Carter's second term.]

I VOTED for this man, BUT THIS MAN isn't who I VOTED for! The CHANGE I see is in HIM!! And yes, I KNOW, how well I KNOW... but, but, but he's only been in office for FIVE months! So what??? Do tell, what will the NEXT FIVE months look like at this rate???

[Speaking of change, I actually went to Five Guys Hamburgers just down the street for the first time today. I figured that maybe Obama was right on this one. Well, the burgers are pretty small and they cost four bucks plus CHANGE each. So I took a powder after seeing that price. Recession busters, they are NOT.]

I have always put bumper stickers on my car in a BIG way, showing who and what I support, and keeping them on way past the time when most people remove them. I had some on from 2004 that have finally faded so much you can't read them. But last week, I took my Obama stickers off my car! that's a RECORD by a very VERY long shot!!

[Hmmm... There should be a brisk market for bumper sticker scrappers in the near future.]

For me the increasing hollowness of his speeches is starting to bother me. Saying things like we have to do whats right, not whats popular then turning around and covering up Bush/Cheneys crimes because it would be unpopular to investigate them is a joke. MLK jr talked the talk, but he also walked the walk. He took risks.

[Speaking of jokes and MLK jr., I read a funny post over that HUffPo that what the gay rights movement needed was a Martin Luther Queen. That had had me ROFLMAO!!!]

But hey! What about "date night" and that adorable dog! And don't forget Michelle has really toned arms. Please. I want a Democratic president who champions the causes of the left wing of the Democratic Party.

[That adorable lap dog named Brian Williams.]

Obama has to find the courage to prosecute those who authorized torture. It is the only way to clean up the cesspool in our various intelligence services. Who is in charge here? We elected Obama to be the president and to bring integrity and the rule of law back to our country. Instead he flies off to fight yet another war, fails to set a firm date for bringing our troops -- all of them -- home from Iraq and reuses to establish the rule of law.

[Prosecute those monsters who provided a/c to the terrorists and stuffed them with fine food!]

and all of a sudden we have Pay GO for decent health care.

[Was it Pay-Go or PoGo who stated, "We have met the enemy and he is us!"]

No, I don't feel better. I voted for a fraud.

[Sniff! Want a hankie to cry in?]

Don't bend me over and f*ck me once again while promising EFCA. Don't bend me over and f*ck me again while offering National Health care. Don't bend me over and f*ck me again while pumping $600 Billion down the rat hole for the Military Ind. Complex. Don't bend me over while handing billions to the very people responsible for putting us in this mess. Don't bend me over while cowering like rat bastard cowards on restoring the rule of law. I can't even fathom why the f*ck I should care anymore! BTW, I'll be boarding a bus for DC this Thursday to attend the National Rally for Health care. Will it even f*cking matter to these spineless motherf*ckers who call themselves Democrats? Can you tell I'm just a little pissed off? How far we've come from the days of those lunatic bastards on the right, only to watch in HORROR to these lowdown cowardly motherf*cking spineless Democrats. Just blowing some steam. Can't believe there are people out there urging patience and caution when I see spinelessness and cowardice on the part of those I elected to do the right thing.

[Insert obligatory Ben Burch Bend Over joke HERE...]

I wonder what Galloway's problem is this time. A horseshoe up his ass maybe?

[Ben Burch is jealous.]

I will study more on faith followers, perhaps there are some methods of injecting some small bits of reason into the religion of faith politics.

[Chris "Leg Tingle" Matthews certainly rates as an Obama faith follower so you should study him if you want to risk drowning in his drool.]

Obama was not Senate majority leader like LBJ. If he had been, he would know the ins and out of how to rein in an unruly group of his own party.

[But, hey, he did vote "Present" innumerable times in the Illinois legislature. ]

I went to THREE of Obama's rallies and heard him say and promise certain things at each one of them. I NEVER expected him to be able to fulfill all of them, campaigning is campaigning, but even though he's made some changes he seems to be "caving" on some VERY BIG ISSUES! Is this Change or just Changing Your Mind?

[Change Your Mind we can believe in.]

LBJ knew more about everyone in DC than J Edgar Hoover did and he'd leak it out in a drip to get people back in line

[Cable Guy: "I'm as healthy as a horse. Not a drip."]

he blew the most precious of chances, for all of us, a window, if you will, of good will and enthusiasm for real change. That window is closing, I'm afraid. Very foolish, if you really believe in change to begin with. I'm sorry but, Obama appears incredibly disingenuous at this point. and all that high~falutin' hope stuff...

[Doc Holliday: "And so she walked out of our lives forever..."]

Why don't get up off your asses and take to the streets and protest like our brothers in IRAN or STFU!

Let the Democratic Leadership know that to sit on a public health care single payer plan is the death sentence for their party. This and only this will get them to listen. I will not waste another single vote on a Democrats if this does not come to reality

["RESOLVED: Adequate health care is a good thing." And that Happy Face toothless resolution is about all that you're going to get.]

Depressed DUmmies Predict Obama Political Demise

The DUmmies are quickly losing their faith in The One. Why? Because it looks more and more likely that any health care program that is passed will have NO "public option" which are code words for "single payer" which are code words for "socialized medicine." Actually it is becoming increasingly unlikely that there will be any health care program, other than just some meaningless Happy Face plan for PR purposes only, coming out of Congress this year or anytime in the foreseeable future. As Obama himself said, we have run OUT of money. Also the Chinese holds a major portion of any debt and will look very unkindly on any more inflationary programs being passed. However, the DUmmies just can't face reality and are now predicting that Obama will NOT be re-elected if a "public option" health care program isn't passed as you can see in this THREAD, "I predict that if President Obama does not sign a real Public Option for Health Care into law--one that everyone has the option of purchasing that makes healthcare affordable, where every American is covered, he will not be re-elected." So let us now watch the DUmmies predict Obama's political downfall in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, looking forward to the fireworks when NOTHING happens on the health care program front due to lack of money, is in the [barackets]:

I predict that if President Obama does not sign a real Public Option for Health Care into law--one that everyone has the option of purchasing that makes healthcare affordable, where every American is covered, he will not be re-elected.

[I predict grave disappointment in DUmmieland.]

The base will abandon him if he does not veto any reform bill that isn't universal and affordable.

[Abandon Ship! The S.S. Obama is sinking! And now to the other disappointed DUmmies...]

I'd say that's a pretty good prediction.

[I'd put odds on that one too.]

I won't be "abandoning" Obama...... He will have abandoned me.
I will wisely look elsewhere for representation.

[Dennis Kookcinich?]

We need a Progressive Party now more than ever.

[The Greens and Socialist Workers Parties have their signup booths in the wings.]

I agree .. he has said it would be done repeatedly. He won't be reelected.. without it.

[Bye-bye 'Bama!]

IMO, the 2 hallmarks of the Obama Presidency will be health care reform and the economy. Both will have an effect on every person in the country. Since the economy can be somewhat of a wildcard issue, and the people he has advising him on it seem to want to maintain the staus quo, he needs to get healthcare reform right.

[He FLOPPED on the economy but let us cross our fingers and hope he gets healthcare right by also tossing money at it.]

I do think he lives and dies by the economy.

The economy has been tied directly to a healthcare plan.

[Tying the Porkopulos anchor to healthcare so both can sink together?]

He has hung a lot on health care and seems to be losing the battle. Maybe he has something up his sleeve that will pull it off , remains to be seen.

[Yes, the magician will pull a wascally wabbit from his sleeve and all will be well.]

He's got nothing else. No end to the wars. No end to insanely bloated WAR budgets. No prosecutions for torture or war crimes. Plenty of releasing convicted rethuglican politicians from jail but f*ck Siegleman. Plenty of support for DOMA and DADT. No f*cking clue as to what to do with the economy except shower money on the banks that destroyed it and give them complete control of the destruction via their puppets Geithner and Summers. Throw in unemployment peaking at about 15% next year.

[But, hey, he did make us aware of Five Guys Hamburgers. I actually have one nearby. Must try it out of curiosity. But NOTHING can possibly beat Tommy's Burgers in L.A.. Yummm!]

So yeah, if Obama can't deliver on at least health care, he will not be re-elected. I doubt he will even be able to win the primary. This whole administration is starting to parallel Jimmy Carter's (I love Carter but he was ineffective) and I would expect if Obama can't get health care done properly he is toast. As are we all.

Obama & The Fly

The fly that Barack Obama killed the other day during an interview at the White House is probably the second-most famous fly in history. The MOST famous fly ever you can see in this VIDEO. And after all these years, it still totally creeps me out to see that scene.

Here is a DUFU homework assignment. Edit the video of Obama killing the fly with The Fly. I'm thinking when they show a closeup in the video of the fly in the White House, we actually see the final moments of The Fly.

"Biden says 'everyone guessed wrong' on jobs number"

Such a reaction would be adequate if you locked yourself out of your car. It happens to most of us at one time or another. However, it is woefully inadequate as a response when you blow nearly $800 billion of taxpayers money on a government program that failed completely. Such was the response of VP Joe Biden on Meet The Press yesterday when he said that "everyone guessed wrong" on the economic stimulus package.

And now the DUmmies are upset that Biden said this out in the open where it is sure to hurt their Beloved Barack bigtime as you can see in this THREAD, "Biden says 'everyone guessed wrong' on jobs number."

And what's with this "everone" bit, Kemosabe? In all of congress only 3 turncoat RINOs of the Republicans (and now one Democrat) voted for the "stimulus package." And of course NONE of those voting for that bill had a chance to even read it. They were urged to vote for it blindly and immediately or else the country would collapse. Of course now Six-Pack Joe is trying to claim that "everyone" guessed wrong. Face it, Joe. You guys GOOFED and now you are trying to spread the blame around.

So let us now watch the DUmmies get upset by Joe's open admission of error in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, watching the Democrats (and 3 RINOs) flush close to a trillion dollars down the toilet, is in the [barackets]:

Biden says 'everyone guessed wrong' on jobs number

[Oops! Spread the blame!]

WASHINGTON (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden said Sunday that "everyone guessed wrong" on the impact of the economic stimulus, but he defended the administration's spending designed to combat rising joblessness.

[We are right, even though we are wrong.]

Biden said inaccuracies in unemployment predictions shouldn't undercut the White House's support of the $787 billion economic revival plan that has not met the expectations of President Obama's team. Instead, the vice president urged skeptics to look at teachers who kept their classroom assignments and police officers who kept their beats because of financial assistance from Washington.

[Translation: Please believe us in the future when we propose to waste another trillion or two when we propose our next massive program.]

"The bottom line is that jobs are being created that would not have been there before," Biden said.

[Many more unemployment case workers that weren't there before.]

But they are not coming at the pace first estimated.

[The pace is picking up...for those entering the ranks of the unemployed. And now on to the DUmmie Peanut Gallery...]

guessed? WTF are these guys doing guessing. Are you kidding me. Don't they have numbers and studies and such. Why the hell would anyone in charge be guessing. GIVE ME A BREAK. These are just more lies to justify the previous lies. Let me take a guess,,,, lets see,,, joblessness will remain the same or increase. It might even go down a little; thats a guess

[Oops! Who let this LOUSY FREEPER TROLL into this DUmmie thread?]

Biden is not just anyone in charge. He is THE guy in charge of tracking the stimulus.

[Don't you feel so much better knowing that our economic future is in the hands of Six-Pack Joe?]

They spent a trillion dollars on a guess?

I am just guessing, but I think the public is not going to like Biden's statement.

[Gee, ya think?]

Biden can go f*ck himself. There were lots of educated people who weren't guessing who called bullshit on these numbers. Those people were told, as usual, to shut the hell up.

[I believe those people are called "conservatives."]

9.4% unemployment isn't that bad. Bush's numbers were worse.

[Hmmm... Worst unemployment rate in 26 years. Simple math would tell me that skips the Bush years.]

U-6, which accounts for discouraged workers, no longer looking is at 16.4%. And it's gonna get a lot worse by September, Joe.

[Say it ain't so, Joe!]

A LOT worse. Aftereffects from GM and Chrysler cuts will begin by
then. Heck, all the primary layoffs are not done from just those two, yet.

[You mean the Lightworker can't just wave his magic wand and spread Pixie Dust on the economy?]

Over 10% is depression type numbers and plenty of states are there.

[There is certainly going to be a mass depression in DUmmieland when economic reality sinks in.]

Hyperinflation is the optimistic scenario.

[A DUmmie spreading happiness and cheer.]

Just read today about the year 1923 and what it meant to be in Germany then. The same half a ham that cost 4 Marks in 1914 soared in price to an amazing 4 Billion marks in 1923. It was almost impossible for cashiers to handle sales - on some days prices went up so much in just three minute increments that by the time you got through the small line at the grocery, what you were buying was significantly more expensive.

[I would love to sell a ham named Joe at any price.]

If proper accountability and reporting had been built into the stimulus, and proper tracking occurred after the stimulus, so much guesswork would not be necessary. Similarly, if proper conditions, accountability and reporting had been built into the TARP, lending TARP money would have begun immediately, TARP money would not have been used for obscene bonuses and $3000 wastebaskets, etc.

[If...If...IF!!! IF only the Congress and Senate were allowed to READ TARP before they voted for it. But noooooo! The Obamatons insisted it had to be voted on RIGHT WAY without any analysis. IF!!!]

They are pissing away money like it's nothing while food banks are emptying out. I am not willing to let them off the hook for so doing incompetently.

[So does this mean you will be attending an upcoming Tea Party?]

When you have been given the information that contradicts your projections and shows them to be false, that is no longer a guess or a mistake, it becomes a deliberate lie.

[GASP! How dare you cast aspersions upon the veracity of The One & Co?]

No, Joe, EVERYONE did NOT guess WRONG. I'm gonna have a stroke here sooner or later dealin' with all the monumental stupidity comin' outta the Obaminable Administration. Hey, JOE, check out the daily Stock Market Watch thread on DU and find out that there have been a whole f*ckin' lot of us who DIDN'T guess wrong. WE KNEW what the hell was goin' on when you were still tryin' to keep your VP chances secret. Hell, Joe, we knew way back when Hillary still had a chance, maybe even before Kerry was nominated. MAYBE EVEN BEFORE THAT SNOT-NOSED AWOL FLYBOY STOLE THE ELECTION IN 2000. Am I makin' myself clear, Joe?

[You almost qualified for a Kewpie Doll...until the next to last sentence.]

You and Barack and Jill and Michelle, you don't need us no mo'. You don't give a flyin' f*ck what we think, what we do, how we bleed and suffer and beg and die. You're a flippin' phoney, Joe. A flippin' lyin' sack-o-shit phoney. Spare me your shock.

[A DUmmie swears off her gods.]

C'mon back to the real world, Joe. Oh, and bring that nice friend of yours, Barack, with you.

[Posted Tansy_Gold from the alternate universe known as DUmmieland.]

This administration lobbied for the second $350 Billion. Obama himself lobbied hard for the first half, making personal phone calls to members of the CBC who had initially been staunchly opposed to TARP. This administration put one of the central players in crafting TARP and the AIG bailout, Geithner, in charge of the Treasury Dept. Of course they deserve some of the blame for the lack of accountability.

[Geithner? Is he even accountable for his own taxes?]

What happens in the next 12 months will really show Obama's true intents. And what I've seen so far, I am hopeful. We DO have to move forward at some point.

[Is that you, Polyanna?]

Problem is, the Obama/Biden/Summers/Geithner/Rubin team IS NOT GOING FORWARD. They're doing all the things that will keep things right where they are. Stagnant. Status quo. Frozen. Paralyzed.

[If a Republican says that on Hardball, Chris Matthews floods the MSNBC studio with outraged drool.]

it's already saved hundreds of thousands of jobs. while the stimulus could have been better, it's certainly slowed the economy's plunge towards the next Great Depression.

[Is that you, Baghdad Bob?]

There's no way whatsoever to calculate whether a job is "saved" or not. They came up with this crap when they realized the stimulus wasn't working, but still wanted to paint a rosy picture despite the country losing hundreds of thousands of jobs a month.

[Your Kewpie Doll is in the mail!]

weapons of mass unemployment.

I like Biden and I support our President, but I hope that employment numbers weren't really just a guess.

[Would it make you feel better if I told you it wasn't a guess but a guesstimate?]

Worse than Dan Quayle....Never thought I'd type those words.

[Never thought I'd send you a Kewpie Doll.]

DUmmies defend Rev. Wright's "Them Jews" comment!

Not only are the DUmmies forced into defending David Lecherman's rape joke (as we chronicled in our previous DUFU), now they have to defend Jeremiah Wright's "Them Jews" comment! Or else they try to distance Obamassiah from the preacher he willingly listened to for over 20 years. Uncle Jeremiah can be a political liability to The One, so better throw him under the bus! See both reactions here in this THREAD, "Wright: Jews blocking him from W.H."

This week the DUmmies have tried to pin the Holocaust Museum shooter on Free Republic, believe it or not, but the fact is, most of the anti-Semitic garbage we've heard in recent years has been coming from the LEFT! They hate Israel, and they hate the "Neo-cons"--which is DUmmiespeak for the JOOOOOOOOOOS!!!

So put on your yarmulke and let's watch the DUmmies squirm, in Red Sea Red, while the commentary of your humble guest correspondent, Rev. Charles Henrickson, a goy who grew up in the most Jewish neighborhood in the city of Chicago, is in the [brackets]:

Wright: Jews blocking him from W.H.

[God D*MN them Jews!]

"Asked if he had spoken to the President, Wright said: 'Them Jews aren't going to let him talk to me. . . . They will not let him to talk to somebody who calls a spade what it is.'"

[There it is, DUmmies! Now let's see if YOU'LL call a--if you will call Rev. Wright to account for this. . . .]

I'm getting really tired of this anti-semite crap.

[Especially if it hurts the Democrats.]

"Them Jews?"

[Yup, that's what he said!]

"Them Jews" in this context means Rahm Emmanuel.

[Oh, come . . . Emmanuel?]

Bad choice of words on Rev. Wright's part, though.

[Democratic Understatement.]

Oy vey.

[Oy vey iz mir! Such a deal!]

Lately, we're needing to say that a lot more frequently.

[All this tsuris! We need this like a hole in the head!]

Why does he say sh*t like this?

[Why did Obama listen to sh*t like this for over 20 years?]

Does he really think there's an army of Jews holding up the phone bank at the WH?

[Jewish phone bankers control the world.]

He just might be hurt that Rahm Emanuel has so much of Obama's ear. . . .

[That's a lot of ear!]

Shades of Hymietown. . . .

[Is that you, Rev. Jackson?]

He says it because he believes it. He is totally sincere.

[And you get this thread's Kewpie Doll, for a brief moment of mental clarity!]

Okay, where are his defenders now?

[In DUmmieland, where they are afraid to say it so directly.]

I'm getting f*cking tired of Politico and it's "News"!

[Kill the messenger!]

this sounds more like the media trying to make trouble to me.

[And we all know who controls the media!]

Did he say it or didn't he?

[Only his hairdresser knows for sure.]

he's a bigot who should have ZERO credibility with any of us.

[He's hurting Emperor Zero!]

Do you even know what he said? . . . Do we know that's what he did? It's hard to keep in mind how all his other cherry-picked statements were broadcast in the media and not be suspicious of this report.

[That is Elizabeth "Doug's ex-wife" Ferrari, the former sfexpat2000, trying to cover for Rev. Wright. Maybe you should hold a fundraiser for him, Beth!]

bwahahahaha. yeah, EFerrari, that's the ticket. The media put a gun to poor old Wright's beautiful head and made him say it. You are really a mega apologist in this thread for ugly bigotry. Congrats!

[Hee! Hee!]

The audio of Wright's comment is on the Net. It can't be any more cut and dried than that. How can you possibly say that "this could be b#llshit" when we have him on audio saying it?

[It could be a Jeremiah Wright impersonator. Probably a Jew. All those entertainers are Jews, you know.]

By "Them Jews" I think he was referring to David Bowie, Iggy Popp and Lou Reed.

[See? Jewish entertainers, all of 'em.]

Naw he meant "them shoes" Prada, Manolo and Piperlime. . . .

[The white Jew-devil wears Prada!]

Something plainly is amiss with that guy, and has been for some time.

[Wright, or Obama?]

You'd think someone like that, in his position, would have learned the empathy necessary to leave that sort of bigotry behind.

[He's no wise Latina woman.]

Uh oh. He's just taken a one way trip to Total Crankville!!

[Take the last train to Crankville. . . .]

Wright likes the sound of his own voice, no doubt about it.

[A trait that seems to have rubbed off on one of his parishioners.]

If only Jews were truly that organized!

[That's part of the beauty of it, you see! They make you THINK they're not that organized, while secretly they consult their Kabbalah codes every morning to coordinate strategy!]

So, he was talking about the Israeli lobby? That's what it looks like.

[That's Beth Ferrari again, still trying to spin things. Somebody calls her on it, though . . .]

I think you are wedded to a certain political philosophy. . . . And I think that political philosophy makes you reluctant to recognize bias or bigotry from those that you believe are on "your side".

[Sorry, only one Kewpie Doll per thread!]

on the same day when a Nazi shoots up the Holocaust Museum, you have enough information to know where Wright's words lead us and it's nowhere good.

[In other words, there's more basis to blame the Holocaust Museum shooter on DUMMIELAND than on Free Republic!]

For your information, Jeremiah Wright has spent most of his career trying to break down walls between the different subcultures in his community. For you to paint him as some kind of raging anti-Semite is just wrong.

[Give it up, Beth! It's Wright who's wrong!]

In light of today's sickening events in DC...I want to make it ABSOLUTELY CLEAR...I am NOT an anti-semite.

[I am not a crook!]

Wow, the apologism here is quite disgusting. . . .

[And yet, somehow, completely predictable!]

DUmmies defend Lecherman: "Freepers Want Letterman FIRED!"

"I mean, look at my record." Well, we are, Dave. And that's part of the problem. And your "apology" only made things worse. Yeah, make a joke about a 14-year-old girl getting raped, and then make excuses for it by saying it was only a joke and what's the matter with you people.

But, never fear, Dave, the DUmmies will defend you! And they'll attack the Freepers in the process! Witness this
THREAD, "Freepers Want Letterman FIRED!"

Actually, the DUmmies are pretty much trying to ignore Lecherman's Stupid Host Trick. Instead, most of their threads right now are FOCUSED ENTIRELY on trying to tie the anti-Semite killer in D.C. to--get this, now--to Free Republic! Unbelievable!

But let us now see how the DUmmies try to defend Lecherman's rape joke, in A-Rod Red, while the commentary of your humble guest correspondent, Charles Henrickson, who would be SEEING red if someone made such a joke about my 13-year-old daughter, is in the [brackets]:

Freepers Want Letterman FIRED!

[DUmmies Have Wanted ________ (fill in the blank) Fired for Much Less!]

I know I shouldn't have. Yes, I know better but I wandered over to FR and there are about a dozen threads on Letterman.

[And now there's one documenting the DUmmies DEFENDING Lecherman!]

This is trivial.

[Rape is trivial.]

Over what?

[Oh, nothing, really. Just a joke about a 14-year-old girl getting raped by a ballplayer. Trivial stuff.]

I'm guessing its the Palin joke.

[The WILLOW Palin joke. Willow, a 14-year-old girl.]

About Palin's daughter getting knocked up.

[About Palin's daughter getting raped.]

He made a joke about one of Palin's daughters being impregnated. . . .

[I.e., raped. But say "knocked up"--it doesn't sound so bad.]

Freepers are such pussies. If they don't like the joke they should ask Sarah Baracuda to velcro her daughters' legs together.

[Stay classy, DU!]

The problem is that the joke was about the 14 year old daughter, not Bristol. A joke about Bristol would be pretty much fair game if still a little tasteless.

[Raping an 18-year-old is fair game.]

Anything to take the focus away from the fact that two of their own members have committed murder in acts of domestic terrorism within the last 10 days.

[Neither one was a Freeper. Try again.]

Good wuck wiwf that you siwwy fweepews.

[It was just a siwwy wape joke!]

I want Freekers flayed!

[And their daughters raped!]

Letterman sliced and diced her tonight.

[And that was in his "apology"! Nice.]

Camp Palin apparently took the joke to be a crack against Palin's 14-year-old daughter Willow, who had recently attended a Yankees game, but Letterman insisted today that the real target was 18-year-old daughter Bristol.

[Bristol did not even make the trip to New York. Willow did. And Lecherman and staff, right there in New York, took an INTENSE interest in every aspect of Gov. Palin's visit, since it supplied them with most of their material the last few days.]

He was a douchebag for doing it either way. . . .

They're the ones who want to put a policeman in every bedroom and uterus.

[T M I !!!]

I would agree If he HAD Directed it at the 14 year old, PLEASE, GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT because you come off as an uninformed idiot. EVERYONE knows he directed it at Bristol. . . .

[So a joke about the OTHER teenage daughter getting raped would have been OK.]

Except the 18-year old wasn't at the game, and the 14-year old was.

Is that confirmed that Willow was at the game? Or did Palin, shrewedly, decide to use the 14-yr. old as the target of the joke. . . . There seems to be confusion on whether Willow was at the game. Or if Palin "placed" her at the game in order to double-down on Letterman's stupid joke. Was Willow actually at the game?

[Palin's fault!]

Freepers have a hard time with comedy . . .

[. . . about 14-year-old girls getting raped.]

That joke was not comedy.

[THIS is comedy: "Did you hear David Lecherman's son went to the ballgame the other day and got molested by one of the players? Ha ha ha ha!" . . . What, you didn't like that one?! Hey, it was only a joke!]

he grosses millions in advertising dollars at CBS. . . .

[Emphasis on "gross."]

I'm really surprised at those of you who are dismissing or even laughing at Letterman's jokes about Palin's 14 year old daughter. Not only were they in poor taste but he was totally lacking in judgment. He most certainly should have apologized but the apology I saw this morning was both insincere and snide.

[Kewpie Doll, on the way! Brief moment of mental clarity.]

so ... Letterman makes a bad joke about one of her kids getting knocked up. . . .

["Did you hear Barack Obama's daughter went to the ballgame the other day and got raped by one of the players? Ha ha ha ha!" . . . What, you didn't like that one?! Hey, it was only a joke!]

DUmmie Complains To Macy's Manager About Running Fox News

Last week we SAW how the DUmmies were getting all excited about a remote control device that could shut off TV sets that were running Fox News. But what happens when the DUmmie leaves the room? Most likely the TV will revert to Fox News since it is by far the most popular cable news channel out there. Therefore, the DUmmies have to work even harder to keep folks from watching Fox News. One way is what a certain DUmmie did as chronicled in his THREAD, "I just complained to a Macy's manager about having Fox News on their TVs." This censorship matter is of such importance to the DUmmies that it currently sits at the very top of their "Greatest" page. So let us now watch the DUmmies get obsessed that people out there are watching Fox News in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, noting that Macy's will probably now get requests to turn the channel BACK to Fox news is in the [brackets]:

I just complained to a Macy's manager about having Fox News on their TVs.

[Congrats! You just earned your DUmmie Webelo badge for censorship.]

I was shopping on Saturday in a San Diego Macy's and noticed that outside the fitting rooms were small TV monitors and a seating area for -- I guess -- bored husbands waiting for their wives to finish shopping. Fox News was on. I changed the channel to a game show. Apparently, it was programmed so those were the only two choices. I went into a different department and there it was again. I changed it again.

[Can't risk the possibility of even one contrary view entering the public domain.]

I didn't bother a saleswoman about it; there were so few on the floor anyway, and they don't have any authority. This morning I called and spoke with a manager who both agreed with me that it was propaganda, and also said she would tell the store manager about my complaint and try to make sure that Fox News was taken off the channel selection.

[Hmmm... Thanx for the info. Now we know that it was the San Diego Macy's and that they have a leftwing manager who has agreed to censor Fox News from their TV sets. How much you want to bet that your dopey post will end up having the OPPOSITE effect that you intended. Any DUFU fans in the San Diego area want to check out the Macy's there and see if they actually acceded to the demand of a crazed censorious DUmmie?]

Every little bit helps, I hope.

[Your little bit by posting your censorious activity in the open will help us to counteract it. Thanx. And now on to the other Fox-obsessed DUmmies...]

You are fantastic for doing that.

[Yes, thanx for posting out in the open so we can check to see if the San Diego Macy's gives in to your censorship attempt.]

This is par for the course most places... Honestly almost any place I go with public tv's tuned to news channels, it's always fox news. Stores, the gym, lunch rooms at business places....

[DANGER! DANGER! Contrary views breaking out all over!]

When I was working at Cymer in San Diego, ...the TV's in the lunch room where always on the Fox News Channel. All the TV's were being fed off of a DirecTV box that was locked in a cabinet, but lucky for me the cabinet had glass doors. So, I purchased a cheap Universal Remote control, and programmed
it for the DirecTV box. Everyday my friends and I would sneak the remote into the cafeteria and find a seat relatively in front of the video cabinet, and secretly
change the channel to something other then FNC, usually CNN or MSNBC, sometimes ESPN.

[A member of the Thought Police proudly recounts one of his "accomplishments."]

Same at Wells Fargo ~ I'll complain next time

[Better start a list.]

That is how you do it, talk directly to the store manager, good job. I did this at the local Hospital, why they needed Fox news or any TV on in the waiting room was beyond me, and the next time I took the wife it wasn't on Fox news.

[Talk directly to the store manager. Post it in DUmmieland so it will be DUFUed. Then watch as the San Diego Macy's is forced to return to the Fox News channel once again by a public outraged by them agreeing to be censored...if they did.]

I did the same at a BOFA branch. They play CNN now. Gotta make the noise.

[Please post which BOFA branch so we can complain about them giving in to censorship demands.]

Tell them that you don't approve of pornography -- and Faux News IS political pornography. And thanks for taking action. I have in the past complained, and some businesses have changed the station, at least temporarily.

[Temporarily until the loon walked out of the room.]

Now you are talking....It is this kind of vigilance that pays off...If enough of us do it. When I was in the local hospital the same thing happened to me....they now have cnn on all the time which isn't a whole lot better but its a step.

[The Thought Police have their own Vigilance Committees.]

I complained about Fox News being on in our bank branch. Now they're tuned to CNN all day.

[You too have earned your DUmmie Webelo badge for censorship.]

my partner has done similar, at the Honda dealership. I'll encourage him to post about it...

[Be sure to include which Honda dealership branch. Hee! Hee!]

they play that crap at the Macys in the Los Angeles area also and i have seen it at that waiting room area just outside the dressing rooms.

[I'm guessing that a lot of crybabying DUmmies will turn up at the Macy's in L.A. today.]

My Macy's runs FOX outside it's dressing rooms, too. Do all Macy's exclusively show FOX?

[Uh-oh! I'm seeing a nationwide Thought Police assault on Macy's today.]

It will be interesting to see if FOX is still on their TV's when you go back. It is bad business to risk offending customers with propaganda. They should have known better.

[I want the San Diego Macy's to KEEP Fox News on their TV sets just to watch DUmmie heads explode.]

I just got back from a trip in Missouri and a couple different McDonalds had a big flat-screen on the wall with Fox News blaring. Anyone else ever seen it in a McDonalds?

[GASP! A couple of Mickey D's in Missouri slipped through the DUmmie Thought Police net!]

Good for you! There is enough viewers tuning in without the help of retailers. We do not need to have anymore people corrupted, influenced or brainwashed.

[Note to DUFU fans: DUmmie heads are SURE to explode if the San Diego Macy's continues to run Fox News. Will they fight this censorship attempt? It will be interesting to find out. Here is a LIST of the four San Diego Macy's along with their phone numbers]

DUmmies Demand Nationalized Health Care

Take a good look at the graph above. The blue lines were created by the economic "geniuses" of the Obama administration. The dark blue line shows their unemployment prediction if their economic "stimulus" package passes which it did with almost no debate because it was rushed through congress without time for anybody to actually READ the bill. They claimed that if the "stimulus" package did not pass, then unemployment would hit the heights represented by the light blue line. Well, their "recovery" plan passed and guess what? Unemployment rose ABOVE their worst projection in the light blue line to a height of 9.4% which the mainstream media is now somehow interpreting as a good thing despite the fact that it hit a 26 year record. And now these same economic "geniuses" are declaring that we need to have government run health care in order to control costs despite the fact that Obama himself has declared that we are broke. No money to spend on such big projects. Plus the Chinese who own the major chunk of our debt are pissed off at Tim Geithner for not getting the U.S. economy on a better track. So despite all this, the DUmmies want an even more direct control on the health care system which they call single-payer as you can see in this THREAD, "US House To Hold Hearings On Single Payer Health Care." So let us now watch the DUmmies laughably deny economic reality in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, laughing as hard as the Chinese at Tim Geithner, is in the [barackets]:

US House To Hold Hearings On Single Payer Health Care

[Spend even MORE on health care even though our Blessed Barack already stated that we are BROKE.]

The Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions Subcommittee of the House Education and Labor Committee will hold a hearing titled “Examining the Single Payer Health Care Option” on Wednesday, June 10th at 10:30am in 2175 Rayburn House Office Building.

[And "Examining" is all that they will be doing. Even the Obama "whiz kids" know they don't have the money for single payer. In fact they don't even have the money for ANY payer health care system.]

You may be able to watch via webcast. Contact C-SPAN and let them know we would like them to carry it. C-SPAN's Main Number is: (202) 737-3220.

[DUmmies can call in on that number and wail, "PUH-LEEEEEZE! Waste more money!!!]

U.S. Rep. George Miller (CA-7) chairs the subcommittee that will be conducting the hearing and is a co-sponsor of HR 676, "Expanded and Improved Medicare for All."

["New and Improved!" Just like the "recovery" plan that led to high unemployment.]

For those of you who would like to attend in person and can make the trip to D.C., hearings are open to the public. Just make sure you get there early, so you get a seat.

Witnesses to be announced

[Dennis Kookcinich and Bozo the Clown. And now for our own Bozos, the DUmmies...]

Is this just a hearing to say "they had a hearing?" I dunno.

[Yup! Strictly a feel-good hearing for you Bozos.]

If health care "reform" comes through without a genuine public option that creates a competitive government health provision alternative to the private insurance racket, then I won't support it.

[You probably won't get even that. Too many Democrats worried about re-election.]

That's just a long way of saying we're not going to get health care reform

[Sorry, no money available. Didn't you get the message from Barack?]

Ya know, I am sick to death about "costs" for single payer

[Inconvenient economics.]

We know single payer contains costs and it's exceedingly easy to use.

[It will contain costs as successfully as the "recovery" package contained unemployment.]

It's the Senate side I'm worried about and getting this out of Baucus's committee, since he's sold out to Big Pharma and Big Insurance! A public option has got to be part of the equation for meaningful reform and some stiff "competition" for the for-profit industry driving this country bankrupt.

[I hate to break it to you but we have already reached the bankrupt stage. Barack already admitted it.]

Yes, the problem is almost always in the House of Lords.

[Yes, they like to Lord it over you DUmmies.]

I seriously doubt any of the powerful players in the government want to institute single payer healthcare.

[Lack of money and angry Chinese creditors are two very good reasons for that.]

Don't be fooled, this hearing is a sham, only a show for people like us, the ones that don't wine and dine and fund campaigns.

[Strictly a meaningless show for gullible DUmmies.]

Dear Congressman Miller, Please establish a program in the US for single payer healthcare insurance. If america is still the greatest country in the world, then why do we lag so far behind europe and canada? Why are half of all bankruptcies due to medical issues, even when people have good coverage? Why are industries getting rich on our suffering? Please establish reasonable healthcare. Fight the lobbies. If we can't do it now, we never, ever will. Thankyou

[Dear Congressman Miller, Please spend money that we don't have because we are already bankrupt. Thankyou.]

Organize, don't agonize!

[Posted the DUmmie from deep within his basement domain.]

Seriously, what are the odds that we'll get universal health care?
I put it with the same odds that I suddenly start living in one of my other, alternate universes--THERE it may be possible... not here, not now.

[Say hello to Tinker Bell and President Al Gore in your alternate universes.]

It appears President Obama is not on board the same ship as the rest of us, so until he is we will continue to have the same old same old.

[President Obama prefers to sink aboard his own ship.]

The taxes in this bill might be unpopular

[Gee, ya think?]

4.75% on $4500 a month (my own pay, for example) is only $213 a month. I'm single and my insurance rate right now is about $200 a month (not counting Medicaid). So I can get married, have a wife and 3 kids, pay the rate for a single person, AND not have to pay any deductables? I'm all for that. I don't see how it's financially possible, but I'm all for it!

[It's financially possible...but only in one of those alternate universes.]

Will the repugs along with their blue dog bffs try to sabotage this?

[Yes, along with all those Democrats still listening to Obama.]

count on blue dog sabotage we don't need no stinkin' GOPers, we have our own "saboteurs" in our midst.

[Look no further than the Blessed Barack.]

Punditry-Pining Pitt Pumps out the Puff Pieces

Our boy Pitt is BACK, in a big way! In recent weeks, the erstwhile Logorrheal One has gotten off his barstool at Bukowski's and hit the keyboard. The disgraced journalist-wannabe has been pumping out columns for truthoutthewindow, mostly puff pieces kissing the rear end of the Obambi Misadministration (and attacking conservatives, of course). Maybe Will the Shill, reliable party hack that he is, is looking for a paying job. Fuggedabout it, Will! That ship left the harbor on May 12, 2006, when you reported with full assurance that Karl Rove had been indicted.

Well, even if it only wins him yet another chance at Pied Piperdom with his small but amnesiac following in DUmmieland, Wee Willie has been churning out the columns lately--three in the last week! Namely, this
THREAD, "The Most Dangerous Game," and this THREAD, "Sotomayor Derangement Syndrome," and this THREAD, "A Day in the Life."

The Pittster's purple prose will be in Reputation-Repairing Red, while the commentary of your humble guest correspondent, Charles Henrickson, wondering if this flurry of activity is impressing the future Missus Pitt, is in the [brackets]:

The Most Dangerous Game

[By the most ostentatious name, William Rivers Pitt]

Rush Limbaugh announced on his radio show that President Obama nominated a racist by tapping Judge Sonia Sotomayor. . . .

[That's terrible! Calling her a "racist"?? Why, she's an ethnist, sexist, wise Latina woman racist!]

Newt Gingrich and Karl Rove have been Twittering their questionable brains out over the last couple of days reasserting the "racist" accusation.

[Karl Rove . . . that name rings a bell. Say, wasn't he indicted a couple of years ago? I thought he was in jail by now. Whatever happened to that, Will?]

Beyond the cries of racism, other voices from the right have contended Obama's high court nominee is a liberal activist, a judicial legislator and someone maybe not quite bright enough to sit on the bench.

[Sounds like perfect qualifications for a Democrat!]

Needless to say, it's on.

[So is Will's laptop, churning out this drivel.]

In its worst iteration, the nomination process can level careers. . . .

[Kinda like reporting bogus journalistic scoops.]

Two such, the failed nomination of Robert Bork and the successful nomination of Clarence Thomas, left behind a residue of resentment and spite that nobody has been able to scrub off the walls to this day.

[Will is still trying to scrub the Fitzmas residue off his walls.]

if Mr. Obama had nominated Jesus of Nazareth to replace Justice Souter, the GOP would now be denouncing Him for favoring a socialist welfare state because He gave away loaves and fishes and circumvented the insurance industry when He raised Lazarus from the dead.

[Will, even Jesus of Nazareth could not raise your career from the dead. I mean, you only manage nine brief comments from your fellow DUmmies. Try again. . . .]

Sotomayor Derangement Syndrome

[Punditry Aspirer's Syndrome]

They called it Bush Derangement Syndrome for eight years: the condition of being berserk with rage, hatred and fear over the acts and actions - nay, even the very existence - of George W. Bush and his administration.

[P3 himself has Chronic BDS.]

After last November, it became known as Obama Derangement Syndrome. . . .

[On the Left, though, it turned into Obama Tingly Leg Syndrome.]

Last week, the malady mutated into a whole new thing - Sotomayor Derangement Syndrome - and boy, but it's a doozy.

[And, wise Latina woman, it's a DUzy!]

Ranting incoherence, brazen racism. . . .

[Are you referring to Sonia's stump speeches or her judicial opinions?]

those suffering from Sotomayor Derangement Syndrome had not only struck the bottom of the barrel in their attempts to tear the Sotomayor nomination down, but had plowed right through the wood and burrowed deep into the slime and ooze beneath.

[It's an oozy! Well, this column didn't work too well either, Will. Only eight DUmmie comments. Next. . . .]

A Day in the Life

[A Try for a Job]

The Obama administration opened the White House doors to NBC correspondent Brian Williams. . . .

[Brian came straight from Post-Katrina New Orleans, no doubt. That, or a tanning booth. Either way, Brian made sure to wear his presidential kneepads.]

the fruits of which became a two-day television special. . . .

[Other fruits can become Democrat congresspersons.]

titled "Inside the Obama White House". . . .

["Take off thy sandals, Brian, for thou art standing on holy ground!"]

Most of it is fluff . . .

[And most of your stuff, Will, is puff.]

among other things, we learn that . . . M&M's taste good . . .

[Obamassiah's M&Ms: Marxism & Megalomania.]

Bo the dog is growing fast . . .

[B.O.'s megalomania is growing fast.]

and Five Guys makes a mean cheeseburger. . . .

[Maybe you can get a job there flipping some, Will.]

but the lasting impression left by the show is how busy a place this White House is.

[The only way you'll see the inside of it, Will, is by taking the tour.]

the question of whether the Obama administration is taking on too many massive tasks came up. Mr. Obama laughed, shook his head and made a good point: "What, exactly, would you have me give up?"

[The whole thing, Barry.]

The President has departed an overseas very-strained-friendship tour through the Middle East. . . . Can't ignore that.

[Will Pitt bungled the Andy Stephenson Situation. Can't ignore that.]

Mr. Obama cannot give up his focus on the deteriorating situation in Pakistan. . . . Can't ignore that.

[Mr. Pitt bungled the Rove indictment scoop. Can't ignore that.]

The month of May has seen a deadly upsurge of violence in Iraq. . . . Hard to ignore that.

[The annals of DUmmieland have seen numerous late-night drunken rants and subsequent recantations by Pitt. Hard to ignore that.]

As if the world wasn't berserk enough already, North Korea abruptly decided to elbow its way onto center stage by detonating a nuclear device. . . . Can't ignore that.

[As if his career wasn't deader than a doornail already, Pitt sat out the 2008 campaign, hoping the phone would ring but it never did. Can't ignore that.]

The long goodbye for General Motors came to an end this week. . . . Can't ignore that.

[But William Rivers Pitt can ignore the Hugo Chavez-style socialism, generational theft, and economic ruin wrought by President Government.]

a new explosion in the so-called "culture wars." . . . Can't ignore that.

[A new explosion of punditry by Pied Piper Pitt. But somehow, most of the DUmmies CAN ignore that! Only eleven comments on this one!]

It almost makes you feel bad for the guy. . . .

[Well, almost. . . . Oh, I was talking about YOU, Will!]

like he's some accidental Atlas who had a whole planet suddenly land on his shoulders. . . .

[We are accidental tourists on Planet Pitt.]

No shrugs allowed.

[No shills allowed. But before we go, Will, let's hear at least one comment from a DUmmie reader. . .]

Not bad but needs a thorough editor.

[Hee! Hee!]

DUmmies Plan To Censor Fox News Via Remote Control

Fox News continues to have record ratings in cable news, beating CNN and MSNBC combined. And that fact is driving the DUmmies NUts. However, one DUmmie has a plan as you can see in this THREAD, "I just ordered a TV-B-Gone, for FOX News quarantine enforcement." Yes, with your own TV-B-Gone, you can turn off almost any TV in public places showing the forbidden channel. So let us now watch the DUmmies plan to shut down Fox News via hidden remote control in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, begging the DUmmies to leave "Bizarre Foods" alone, is in the [brackets]:

I just ordered a TV-B-Gone, for FOX News quarantine enforcement.

[Does that include batteries for your skull?]

You can get your own here...

It's a simple device, which looks sort of like a car's keyless entry remote, with a single button that causes it to emit the infrared "Power off" codes for every brand and model of TV it knows about, which is to say about 95%+ of TVs in existence.

Yeah, it's time to get aggressive when it comes to people playing FOX News in businesses, doctor's offices and other public places.

[Congrats! You've just been made a member of the Junior DUmmie Censorship Patrol. And now on to the other DUMmies...]

funny idea, but kinda nazi esque in you wanting to control what is on every TV

Watch me control other people's TVs. Yes, I fully intend to be an asshole about this. I'm sick of seeing fascist, murder-inciting propaganda coming from FOX News, and every time I see it, either the TV's owner will make FOX News go away, or I will. So call me nazi-esque.

[How about if we call you DUmmie-esque?]

Me Too - I Am Sick of Being Subjected To the Propaganda EVERYWHERE I go. there's even a boobtube in some restrooms- its bad enough waiting when ya gotta go- now there's one more thing to slow down those potty hogs....

[Hmmm... Maybe I'm deprived but I've yet to see a TV in a public restroom.]

And forcing me to listen to propaganda isn't nazi-esque? And, it's not as easy to ignore those TVs in public as you seem to think.

[Yes, you need to eliminate even the slightest chance of being exposed to a contrary POV.]

I try my hardest to ignore them, but can be extremely difficult. Especially in airports. I sit so the screen is out of my field of view, but the drone of the propaganda is still all-too-audible. That said, when I'm at a restaurant with a TV, I try to be the one who can see it. That's because I don't care what's on and can almost always resist the temptation to look. Most people are drawn zombie-like to the flickering screen, regardless of what it is showing, and don't even realize it. Another important myth to shatter about TVs playing Fox et al in public places is that they are the result of popular demand. They aren't. The people didn't ask for them. They are inevitably part of some business deal. I can respect bottom-up popular culture, even when it's stuff I don't personally like. It's top-down corporate culture masquerading as popular culture that makes steam come out of my ears.

[I love this rationalization of why Fox News is so popular. See, it isn't the people who want to see it. Fox News is really being FORCED on them by "top-down corporate culture."]

Would use the force of law if they could, and use lies forced on people by their minions who can control TVs in public places. They also use churches to promote their lies and wars and death. This doesn't quite compare to purchasing a $20 anti-nuisance gadget online. I'm sorry, the gadget won't promote torture, won't promote killing doctors, and can't even begin to get the stain of what Fox and its media "friends" have assisted in putting on our country and our people.

[Piously declared a DUmmie who would use force of law to remove Fox News from the airwaves...if he could.]

Watching FOX in particular is bad for your health if you are of the opposite political inclination, I walked out of a doctors office a few years back because they had something on that was enraging me and driving my blood pressure, which is already high enough, even further up the scale. For a doctors office in particular to put on something they should know is going to be detrimental to a subset of their patients is unconsionable, "first, do no harm", eh?

[WARNING: The Surgeon General has determined that Fox News is hazardous to DUmmie health.]

I don't care if it's censorship or not, exposing your customers to bad propaganda is not a good business decision in the first place.

[Danger! Danger! Contrary views on the airwaves! Danger!]

I have a chemical imbalance in my brain, it's not my fault and not something that is under my control, there are a lot of us out here in the general population who aren't wrapped entirely tight. Fox and conservatives in general spend a great deal of time and effort deliberately trying to anger liberals, perhaps we should be better than to let it get to us but we are only human. I should have to learn and practice "calming techniques" in order to visit the doctor? Do you have any idea how ludicrous that sounds?

[Fox News is driving me CRRRAAAAAAZZZZY!!!]

Kiss my ass, if you don't like it, suck it. I damned well am going to unilaterally decide to turn off other people's FAUX Noise. This is an omelet for which I'm willing to break some eggs...

[I damned well am going to unilaterally act like a censorious jerk.]

A demonstrably evil, anti-family organization like Murdoch's should be momentarily silenced, sometimes. It's only a token version of what Fox tries to do to every one of us every goddamned day. Turning off a single monitor here and there, only for as long as it takes someone else to bother to turn it back on, hardly amounts to censorship.

[So you won't mind if I turn off Keith Olbermann at the local Starbucks?]

All they do is catapult propaganda ad nauseum, that is not freedom of speech. Not in public waiting rooms where there is no escape, it is propaganda. Shutting it off is not censorship it is a person's right not to be subjected to filthy noise pollution.

[The DUmmie interpretation of freedom of speech.]

Read David Neiwert's book The Eliminationists. Outlets like FOX News serve a very important role for the radical right - they talk about unacceptable ideas, and work on making them acceptable. They serve as a bridge between the mainstream and the rabidly violent fringe.

[Will that remote device also work on that dopey book?]

Obviously, you are not aware of the mind control project funded by Fox News! They fund teles that they give to places like McD's to indoctrinate the poor into being good fascists. They have instructed those recieving the sets to NEVER allow anything Else to be shown. I already will not go there. I am SICK of the hate. NONSTOP HATE. That is unseemly in public. And it is inciteful. If I hear some stupid f*ck comment on that bitch Michelle or such, I might lay the fool out. That should not be happening in public. Fox should be kept in the bedroom, with all the other nasty business. Bring it in my face, and I object vociferously.

[So McD's is also part of the conspiracy. Brainwashing with Big Macs.]

It works great in doctors offices and other places where you are being forced to listen to the tube, but not at Walmart. Walmart has some kind of system that turns the TV's back on after a few seconds.

[That system is standard at all detention centers.]

My dentist has it on in his waiting room AND in the *#$%!% exam rooms! I swear the blather from FAUX is worse than the shots and drilling. He also listens to Rush, but fortunately I only found this out b/c of a comment he made while he had his hands in my mouth. It took all my strength not to bite him.

[Not a good idea to bite your dentist since he can pull your teeth in retaliation.]

I quit seeing a Chiropractor because he insisted on having christian radio on while your made to wait.

[Was it tuned to ISSUES, ETC.? If so, you might have heard a certain DUmmie FUnnies co-conspirator.]

What I want to know is what kind of incentive is Fox offering to keep the TVs on Fox. There's too many TVs set to that channel in public places for it to be coincidence.

[Big sacks of cash.]

Wish there was a radiobgone to turn off Rush Limpballs at work.

[I believe that device is called the Fairness Doctrine now repackaged as LOCALISM.]
