"My man, Mitt! ComMITTed to Romney!"
I am sort of an odd man out over at the FREE REPUBLIC (largest current events forum on the Web) because I haven't joined in with the general FredFrenzy going on there at the moment. FredFrenzy can be defined as projecting on former Senator Fred Thompson all the hopes and qualities you want to see in a conservative candidate. The strange thing is that few folks actually took much note one way or another of Fred Thompson when he was in the Senate. Something similar happened to Senator George Allen. He was the subject of GeorgeFrenzy in which conservatives also projected all their hopes on him. Allen said all the right things but it turned out he was a dud as a candidate. It was a blessing in disguise that he lost to Looney Jim Webb since it is better to lose a Senate seat than to lose a presidency due to nominating someone who is a lousy campaigner. My own "heresy" is that I support a candidate that I agree with about 98% of the time who can get things DONE over a projection candidate that I agree with 100% whose campaigning and governing abilities are yet to be proven. When I was in school I was often chosen to be the baseball team captain, not because of any great athletic ability on my part but because I had pretty good judgement of which players to pick and where to place them. I've looked over the "players" in the Republican field and I choose Mitt Romney because he has an absolutely incredible track record of getting things DONE. The DUmmies seem to now also be taking note of Romney as you can see in this THREAD titled, "My man, Mitt! ComMITTed to Romney!" So let us now watch the DUmmies ponder the candidate they fear most in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, planning to attend the inauguration of President Romney in January 2009, is in the [brackets]:
"My man, Mitt! ComMITTed to Romney!"
[And when President Romney is elected in 2008, we will ComMITT you to the looney bin.]
Just a gut feeling that this is the nominee we will be facing in '08.
[Finally, a DUmmie prognostication that is accurate.]
Ya mean Wilbur? That's Romney's REAL first name...
[It looks like Mitt and I have something in common. We both don't use our first names or, in my case, full first name except on legal documents.]
I thought it was Willard? Ah well - Wilbur, Willard, Mitt, whatever, the man creeps me out.
[Wilbur, Willard, Mitt, whatever, will DEFEAT you in 2008.]
You saying the Repubs are getting on the Romnibus? He's Romniscient! He's Romnipotent!
[And his nomination will be Romnious for the DUmmies.]
Seriously, he's their best choice: he'd lose some evangelical votes, but he's the only one of them who is passably "Presidential." Looks count!
[The joke about Romney is that if he were an actor, no director would choose him to portray a president because he looks way too stereotypically like a president to be believable.]
It's all in the hair, after all!
[Best presidential hair since Reagan.]
But can they "have a beer with him"?
[Romney could have a near beer while I have a REAL beer with him.]
Mitt vs Hillary. Why not offshore the job to Hu and have it done?
[Hu's on first. Hee's on second. And Wat's on third.]
It shouldn't be a problem defeating someone named "Mitt."
[Stated a DUmmie NittWitt.]
Hillary or Obama could whip Mitt? Mitt looks good and speaks well which gives him the advantage over Edwards. An Obama/Hillary ticket could whip Mitt.
[Before that could happen, Hillary would whip Obama.]
I don't think he looks any better or speaks any better than Edwards.
[Is that you, Pink Sapphire?]
Mitt used 'tar baby' in a sentence last year
[GASP!!! Mittpeachment NOW!!!]
He strikes me as an imbecile. And we all know there's no way an imbecile could ever be elected President.
[From WIKIPEDIA: "Upon returning from France he transferred to Brigham Young University, where he was valedictorian, earning his B.A. summa cum laude in 1971."]
There are already great anti-Mitt ads from his run for (office) in Massachusetts -- people talking about how Mitt bought out the companies they worked for and fired everyone and sent the jobs to China.
[From WIKIPEDIA: "Within a year, he had led Bain & Company through a highly successful turnaround and returned the firm to profitability without layoffs or partner defections."]
My crystal ball agrees with you. He's the only one who can string a sentence together, and he has good hair. Yep. He's the man to beat.
[My crystal ball says your BDS will be succeeded by RDS over someone with the LDS.]
Every time Willard Mitt Romney opens his piehole, my Bullshit Security Threat Detector gets raised to red alert. Now there are a whole lotta GOP phonies out there -- for example, Tom DeLay, who does nothing but lie, and even his supporters are in on that joke -- but I swear, I have never seen a politician who so exudes (excretes) phoniness as Willard Mitt Romney does.
["I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky."]
Have you ever been at the beach and seen a really hot looking chick? Most likely all you will end up doing is just stare at her, drooling like an idiot. If you try to talk to her you will probably embarrass yourself with your clumsy pickup lines. Well, GOOD NEWS! I now have a product guaranteed to make it EASY to pick up lots of hot looking women at the beach. It is a product I have been using myself and fully endorse: the amazing HELICOPTER KITE. This helicopter kite flies like a helicopter. You can make it go hundreds of feet into the air or hover it just a couple of feet off the ground. The propellor rotation is done entirely by windpower. So how does this help you pick up chicks? Simple. Just hover this helicopter kite a few feet off the ground near the hot beach chick of your choice. In most cases they will be overcome with curiosity and come over to YOU to ask about it. I've run a little experiment on this and it works on about 75% of the women (catch and release in my case since I'm married). My advice is to keep the conversation initially focused on the helicopter kite until you can later make a sneaky segue into asking her out for dinner. From that point on, you're on your own. Please check out the VIDEO of the INCREDIBLE helicopter kite. Not only was the helicopter kite aerodynamically designed but it is also MADE IN THE USA! So feel good about purchasing an AMERICAN MADE toy which makes the perfect method for vastly enhancing your social life. The helicopter kites have a LIFETIME warranty so all defective or broken parts will be replaced. Your purchase of the helicopter kite will not only provide you with lots of hot dates but it will also help keep the DUmmie FUnnies going. So take a look at the VIDEO and be AMAZED! Remember, those hot beach chicks are waiting!
p.s. Check out what one of our happy customers had to SAY about the amazing helicopter kite.

Hay PJ, how about a Romney/Thompson ticket?
Here's an idea, Mitt gets elected President with Fred as vice. Four years later Fred runs for President with Mitt as vice. They switch back again for the next election and Fred runs for President one last time with another Republican for Vice.
This tactic would allow for a very stable administration and will get around term limits. The Republicans can keep doing this over and over again. That would make for a very effective conservative movement in America as this allow Republicans to appoint and/or hire a lot of conservatives into government services and positions.
Talk about a Conservative victory in America! The Democrats would NEVER be able to influence and control government again! It would be perfect!
PJ, are you trying for the Shrum Award? Next you'll be telling him to 'Wear the bear!'
"He strikes me as an imbecile. And we all know there's no way an imbecile could ever be elected President."
I'm surprised nobody bit on that one!
I think Fred Thompson needs to step into the line of fire like the rest of the candidates and show that he's able to perform under pressure before any of us consider supporting him.
It's too early to pick a def. choice, but I am also leaning heavily in favor of supporting Mitt Romney...its nice to see that he has the dummies running scared.
It seems to me Romney's religion ought to be a point in his favor. Does anyone know ANY bad Mormons?
As for Thompson...while I like what he appears to be, an old fart with such young children is a little odd and disturbing.
Entirely too Hollywood.
