"Obama Supporters: Let's Stop Pretending"

Suddenly the Obamassiah doesn't look so impressive. In fact, on the heels of his big loss in the Pennsylvania primary and the Rev. Wright episode, Obama is beginning to look like a shmoe. As a result, the DUmmies have started panicking bigtime as you can see in this THREAD titled, "Obama Supporters: Let's Stop Pretending." Yeah, like let's stop pretending that our beloved Obama is some sort of Messiah who will save us all. Also let's stop pretending that Obama will have smooth sailing to the nomination because he is currently a bit ahead in the delegate vote. Obama will have to struggle with Hillary all the way to the nomination thanx to Operation Chaos. So let us now watch the DUmmie bite their fingernails over Obama's fate in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, watching the denizens of his DUmmie Ant Farm scurrying about very nervously, is in the [brackets]:

Obama Supporters: Let's Stop Pretending.

[That the Obamassiah is infallible.]

OK, it's not all of us, but it is a lot of Obama supporters insisting he can't lose the nomination. He can. I don't think he will, but if he tanks in NC and IN and gets (as he will) blown out of the water in WV and KY, SDs will have good reason to go with Clinton, and sorry, I would support that. Why? Because winning in November counts. Because I believe that McCain is light years worse than Clinton. Because I think the Supreme Court is more important than my candidate preference. I have never been a fan of Hillary Clinton's, but that's a far shot from seeing her as a neocon republican.

[Good News! KEN NORTON has predicted big wins for Obama in both the Indiana and North Carolina on Tuesday. Hee! Hee!]

The Wright thing is a blow. It is a factor. And though I don't think Wright will blow up Obama's candidacy, it could be the thing that starts to unravel it. Is it fair? No. Does it speak to the racism still extant in this country and the double standard applied to Obama re patriotism, etc? Yes. But I live in the real world, and if Obama's candidacy tanks over this, he shouldn't be the nominee.

[Wright blowed up Obama's candidacy. He blowed it up real good!]

I support Obama strongly. I think he'll overcome this. I deplore the premature grave dancing that many hillary supporters here are engaging in, but facts are stubborn things, and the fact is that other candidates have been taken down over equally suspect matters.

[Like the DUkakis Snoopy tank hat.]

Everything now hinges on NC and IN. If Obama only ekes out a win in NC, or worse, loses and loses by more than 6 or 7 points in IN, it's hard to see how he survives to win the nomination.

[Don't worry. Ken Norton of THE KEN NORTON EFFECT has predicted that Obama would win by 15 points in North Carolina and by 5 points in Indiana. Remember, Ken Norton's predictions over the years have a 100% consistent record.]

Flame the f*ck away.

[Or OD on your meds due to severe depression.]

What I'm hearing is that Obama won't eke out a win in NC, it'll be a double-digit win/ Keep your chin up.

[KEN NORTON backs you up all the way.]

You'll see a lot more fire out of Obama this week.

[As he lights up more cigarettes.]

We all know the polls will be down for Obama, and up for Clinton in the coming week or two. Because of SHIT. F*ck that. Do the right thing, Super Delegates.

[Pay no attention to the facts, Super Delegates.]

This is a VERY close race. Yes, Obama is a little bit ahead, but look at Hillary's numbers. A huge amount of people have voted for her and she has a huge amount of delegates. Just because Obama's numbers are a little bit higher, doesn't make her numbers small. There's an arguement that there will be outrage if the SD's go with Hillary, and against the will of the people. But, keep in mind, that the will of almost half the people, and the will of the people in MI and FL is for Hillary. Obama needs something more solid to distinguish him than rock star popularity.

[The Democrat Convention is going to be sooooo much FUn to watch in August. We need to triple team it with the DUFUs and run at least 10 per day when that happens.]

I volunteered for Hillary in PA and none of us had to PAY for anything. There was food and support galore, all provided by donors.

[So the Operation Chaos operatives got to eat FREE.]

Obama is not going to lose NC

[Is that you, KEN NORTON?]

We need to keep our chin up, and not give into the groupthink currently going on. Hillary supporters are rubbing their hands with glee right now.

[Because they are familiar with THE KEN NORTON EFFECT.]

What are you worried about?

[What, me worry?]

I'm confident. Take heart, cali. Time fixes a whole lot of things.

[Is that you, Pollyanna?]

The potential for more devastating stuff to come out of Wright's mouth is hanging over the Obama campaign's head and wishing it wasn't so isn't going to make it go away

[Rev. Wright is engaged in payback for being dissed by Obama.]

Obama is GREAT at faking sincerity. Damn near a genius.

[Bill Clinton still remains the Grand Master at faking sincerity.]

Hillary and her supporters can claim momentum all day but she cannot claim the nomination without a win among pledged delegates. In my view, if the Supers, for whatever reason, hand it to her even though she falls short on PDs, that would be much worse for our Party and our nation than even a John McCain presidency. She will not get my vote.

[Watch for fireworks if Hillary grabs the nomination away from your beloved Barack.]

Obama himself said that the battles ahead would be long and that there would be a chorus of cynics who would only grow louder and more dissonant. If this fine African American man can dare to hope and dare to challenge, then so can we GOD DAMN IT! Yes, they're going to keep throwing shit at him. And he, imperfect human being that he is, is going to make mistakes. They'd be throwing shit at Hillary too if they felt threatened. The very fact that at this stage they don't should tell you something. They'll ridicule, lie, cheat - bash him with anything they can get their hands on. And we have to GET TOUGH, cream puff. If Obama can take the hits, grit his teeth and refrain from screaming when the corporate owned media, or the right wing pigs hound him about their chosen 'gotcha' issue, then so can you. Just remember - it is the VOTERS who will decide, less than a week from today. Only then, if he doesn't manage to win, and I'm certain he will, can you wail with abandon. Until then fight with everything you've got or get the hell out of the way.

[Of course Obama will win next week. KEN NORTON of THE KEN NORTON EFFECT has already assured us of that. Hee! Hee!]

I don't know if I can take much more of this hand-wringing.

[OD on your meds and then wake up on the other side of the November election.]

If the SDs overturn the people's choice based on votes in two or three upcoming states, that will be the beginning of the end of the Democratic Party.

[YESSSSSSS!!!]

By next week this whole Rev. Wright thing will be over...finally and when the elections are done with Hillary not winning either, it will be over for her too. Obama just needs to stay on message and he will be fine.

[Return of Pollyanna.]

Our elections are now tainted. There are simply too many Republicans meddling... Particularly in those predominantly red states you mentioned. Why should we nominate the candidate personally selected by Republicans for their candidate to defeat in the fall?

[Like you meddled in New Hampshire by voting for McCain? The ironic thing is that if you Democrats hadn't switched over and voted for McCain, Obama would have won in that state and finished Hillary off for good. Instead, today Hillary is very much in the game haunting Obama due to Operation Chaos which is performing PAYBACK for the crossover voting you folks did earlier.]

It's over. Obama won it. If they take it from him based on racism, then all bets are off. Can't support the taking away of a nomination based on pure, unadulterated, old fashioned racism.

[Stand by for the Denver fireworks show!]

I don't think so... I think the SD's have made up their minds...and it's too bad. But if North Carolina is very close, maybe some of them will start getting the vapors and think again.

[Tuesday's primary results are going to be FUn to watch!]

I'm done with national politics for a while if they somehow get their way.

[Say "Good Night" DUmmie.]

Obama will win North Carolina by healthy margin

[Is that you, Ken Norton?]

oh, he already won and if the party reverses it there will be hell to pay, and i dont mean in the form of riots like oxyrush is calling for.

[How about like Recreate 68 and Al Sharpton is calling for?]

That New Hampshire point is very interesting. With all this talk of Chickens Coming Home to Roost, Being Hoisted on the Wright Petard, etc...isn't it delicious that these morons participated in the engineering of the demise of their beloved BHO?
Of course, we get to be stuck with McCain, but the supreme court nominations will make up for that I imagine.

At the moment Obie's only opponent is Hillary, another Democrat. The race is between two Democrats. Yet, somehow, anything that proves inconvenient or damaging to Obie is the fault of the evil corporate Republicans.

I love how that works.

The parallels between Obama and Kerry are getting to be creepy in their similarity.

The snide elitism, disastrous spouse, slimy pandering, massive "distractions", and general crackup are all too familiar.

And he's the frontrunner...

There is something fundamentally wrong in the Democrat Party, when they constantly put this sort of person up for President.

Yeah they can. The Democrats are the party that gave birth to the Klan, Jim Crow, maintaining segregation, standing in schoolhouse doors, destruction of black families via the welfare state, early release of criminals to prey on predominantly black victims...

...and I sadly predict that the black vote will stay with them nonetheless. Pathetic. If they aren't willing to cross the aisle, the best thing that black voters can do for their future is stay home on election day.

"Obama will have to struggle with Hillary all the way to the nomination thanx to Operation Chaos." PJ

I'm fine with Obama struggling with Hillary. That's a fact. "Thanks to Operation Chaos". God. Why do you keep saying this, PJ? Back it up. That's all I'm asking. Show us one little itty bitty fact. Is that too much to ask?

"If they aren't willing to cross the aisle, the best thing that black voters can do for their future is stay home on election day." anon

Or maybe the black voter can go out and vote for whoever the fuck they want to. Just like you do, asshole. Difficult concept, I know.

You're all scared of Obama. You don't want him in the general election. You're Hillary all the way. Truly amazing. Why aren't you talking about Grandpa's virtues? His vision. His plan for America. Probably because Obama's minister is much more interesting than the old fart you've got running for president. I'm with you there, my friends.

Hillary's still in the race despite her negative ratings and a lack of "pledged delegates", the Left is continually bitching about Operation Chaos and calling for Rush to be indicted, and Obama's plummeting in the polls (and in the primaries, heh!) despite having 90 percent of the "black" and "progressive" vote. There's even Republicans who've ADMITTED that they voted for Hillary in various primaries, and those primaries all gave a majority victory to Hillary even when Obama was leading in all the local polls. What more proof do you need?

Just the IDEA of Operation Chaos is having a negative effect on the liberals, and you're living proof. You, like a lot of liberals, are fixated on proving that Operation Chaos is not effective even though it's obvious that it is. You, and they, keep wasting considerable time and effort trying to reduce or eliminate the damage that Operation Chaos is causing to the morale of your fellow liberals when you should be out there helping Obama regain his lost momentum. Because of operation Chaos, valuable recourses are be squandered on disproving Operation Chaos is effective, resources that would otherwise be used elsewhere, thus further proving the effectiveness of Operation Chaos.

Ok, so now that I've offered quite a few "little itty bitty" facts to you, I'm going to ask you to offer proof that Operation Chaos is NOT helping Hilary. Think you can do it? Come on, just provide us "one little itty bitty fact." Are you up to the challenge?

Face it, Operation Chaos is a huge success! Rush Rules!

In a state that hasn't elected a Democratic presidential candidate since 1964, the lure for these Democrats is strong. Sen. Clinton, who appeared this week on the show of conservative television talk-show host Bill O'Reilly, has a fair-weather champion in the form of radio conservative Rush Limbaugh, who has been urging Republicans for weeks to join an "Operation Chaos" and vote for the New York senator in states that have open primaries.

Mr. Limbaugh wants the Democratic nominating battle to persist in hopes of throwing the party into disarray. The effect of the scheme is unknown but some Obama campaign operatives say it may have worked in states such as Ohio, where Sen. Obama's once-lofty support among soft Republicans slipped a bit.

Holy shit. Just the diabolical IDEA itself of Operation Chaos is driving the libs to the brink of insanity.

All right. We can talk about this. We're civilized human beings.

Please, make it stop! For the love of God and All That's Holy. Think of the children!!!

You noticed that complete flip-flop of the definition of "conservative" and "liberal" eh? The Southern Democrats were "conservative" in that they wanted laws to enforce the status quo and continue legalized slavery through peonage and indentured servitude laws (until FDR figured out the Nazis would use it against us in their propaganda of the late 1930s).

The Republicans were "liberal" in that they wanted minimal government intervention into the lives and rights of individuals and the economy in general. i.e., they made the distinction between economic power and political power.

Now "liberal" means marxist -- increasing government control over the lives and property of individuals and "conservative" means socialist "faith-based" altruism. Both have the same goal -- forcible re-distribution of wealth and property and totalitarian government power.

We need a Capitalist Party in this country to defend and promote the greatest engine of wealth creation and improvement of human lives the planet has ever seen: the political philosophy of laissez faire Capitalism.

We need to tell the politicians and government: "Leave us alone!"

You've just nailed the problem with the word "Conservative": It means different things at different times.

In Revolutionary America it meant being in favor of England and King George. Today it means "Jeffersonian Liberal".

In other words, today's Conservatives are yesterday's Revolutionaries.

I suppose it's no wonder the biggest problem American Conservatism faces is the fact that nobody outside it seems to know what it means. And it's such a tedious chore to constantly be subjected to the sundry absurdities Liberals imagine Conservatives to believe.

Can't we come up with a less slippery term?

3:44 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Actually, gunslinger, Libertarians are closer to "Jeffersonian Liberal" than so-called conservatives.

There are 2 types of "conservatives" these days:

Neo-Conservatives. These are socialists/Marxists who got fed up with prevailing foreign policy "realists." Their philosophy seems to be: "Socialism is inevitable, so we should grab power and take credit for its implementation."

Compassionate Conservatives. These are altruists who believe that men should sacrifice themselves to some "greater good." Their objectives (re-distribution of wealth in particular) are the same as other socialists, but they believe government should simply pump money into religious charitable organizations instead of providing the money directly to the "needy."

So you end up with Democrats who are hard-left Marxists battling Republicans who come in two flavors of Socialist. Is it any wonder that people are pissed about being sold out by "conservatives" and the increasing leftward movement of politics?

6:30 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

The less slippery term you're looking for is Capitalist. The definition of Capitalist is one who believes in the separation of economic and political power.

Economic power belongs ONLY to those who earn it. Political power belongs to those representatives we individuals choose to delegate it to.

The government can no more control the economy than they can control the weather. Only individuals trading value for value can make an economy work to produce wealth. Only capitalism recognizes the rights of individuals to life, liberty and property.

America lost the brilliance of the Revolution when our grandparents voted to ratify the 16th Amendment to the Constitution. The result of giving the government the power to tax all income is that we've given the government the power to determine how much of our hard-earned property we will be allowed to keep. We were made slaves to the government by our own vote! How tragic.

ray, you've described things as they are and given Rush credit for it. If you want to believe this, fine. However, there is not one iota of proof that Operation Chaos has been effective. The fact you keep believing in its mystical, mythical aspects only reveals your belief in magic. Thank God the rest of us think you're nuts.

The next time Rush flies in from the Dominican Republic and gets busted for illegal Viagra, I'm sure you'll all chalk it up to Operation Chaos. Hell, I think he's been working on the project for a long time. He's probably propagated enough agents to infiltrate the your kid's high-school by now. And their probably illegals.

Operation Chaos, by it's very nature, can't be quantified, polled or otherwise analyzed.
I listened to a lot of talk shows this past weekend, it appears that Democrat leaders and pundits are split as to its effectiveness.
Personally, I think the effect is, at best, marginal.
