DUmmies Upset Over Veterans Shunning Obama

The DUmmies somehow can't figure out why veterans are shunning Obama as reflected in this GALLUP POLL which shows Romney with 58% support from veterans vs only 34% for Obama. Gee, why don't the veterans show appreciation for the great economy and low employment rate brought about by the Bamster? Anyway, the DUmmies are definitely frustrated with the vets lack of Obama support as you can see in this THREAD, "Gallup: Veterans Still Going Big For Romney And GOP." So let us now watch the DUmmies become frustrated with veterans in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, also a veteran, is in the [barackets]:

Gallup: Veterans Still Going Big For Romney And GOP

[Ditto for non-veterans.]

A new Gallup poll analysis released on Memorial Day shows that among veterans with a very clear preference in the presidential race, a majority supports Mitt Romney, corresponding with veterans’ Republican leanings.

Romney has 58 percent support among veterans, to Obama’s 34 percent. The data was collected from daily tracking polls between April 11 and May 24. During that same time frame, the two were tied overall at 46 percent among all registered voters; among non-veterans, Obama led with 48 percent to Romney’s 44 percent.

[The poll on Nov. 6 will show non-veteran preference closer to the veteran preference.]

The Obama administration has has aggressively reached out to active and former military personnel. But the new numbers suggest winning over what has traditionally been a solidly Republican bloc might be a bridge too far.

[But...but with "recovery summer" in full swing, how can that be?]

So much for Michelle Obama's campaign to help military families. Looks like the majority of vets will just continue to vote against their self-interest.

[Yeah, why should the veterans care if the economy remains in the toilet? Now on to the other delusional DUmmies...]

Veterans of which wars?

[French and Indian.]

What do you expect when Rush is all over the military networks? Many joined to simply be able to kill those "others" legitimately. the military is still one of the most racist institutions around and it simply gets back to Obama being black.

[Oh, and all this time I thought the hostility was because Obama is a Druid.]

If it's true I want out of this country full of idiots. I really can't take it anymore

[North Korea awaits you with open arms and will allow you food in odd numbered months.]

I blame the Armed Forces Network that's horribly slanted in favor of rightwing programs.

[The mere sound of Rush's voice instantly turned all of them into mind-numbed robots.]

May not want to believe the poll but I really do believe that they are working night and day to control the polls and they have the power and the $$$'s to fix this any election.

[So would you like to stop election fraud by requiring photo ID check of all voters?]

I say it's too early to tell. But from the photographic evidence of the Prez's visits to the active duty troops, I call it lies.

[Gee. The President shows up and you are ordered to show up. What are you supposed to do? Go to the brig for disobeying an order?]

And the GOP knows that in truth that they are losing the presidential race, therefor, thats why there are so many suppression laws. Look at Florida.

[Suppression Law = Check Photo ID to ensure voter is legit.]

Since Bush's time, the Armed Forces Network have been showing Limbaugh. This probably helped to brain-wash our troops.

[A powerful army of zombie Dittoheads.]

I always had a belief that the millitary brainwashes.... trainees to the right. That's why I don't like our military as it is.

[So you want them to confiscate all their radios that carry Rush?]

Obama lost the active military vote by 6% last time. He can very well win the majority this time.

[Only if Tinkerbell tinkles pixie dust in the ballot boxes.]

The military instills xenophobia, group think, respect for authority and discourages challenging that authority. Which party best embodies those values?

[Sounds just like Democrats.]

"...Many joined to simply be able to kill those "others" legitimately. the military is still one of the most racist institutions around and it simply gets back to Obama being black." - A Troglaman Clone/Moonbat on DU

Well, evidently if you're a military veteran you're a kill-crazy racist in the eyes of the Troglaman Clones/Moonbats. This military veteran begs to differ with that assessment.

"So much for Michelle Obama's campaign to help military families. Looks like the majority of vets will just continue to vote against their self-interest. " - A Troglaman Clone/Moonbat on DU

And this Troglaman Clone/Moonbat thinks it's in the best interest of military veterans to vote to support the slashing of national defense and to undercut military forces so they are slaughtered. They also don't appreciate having VA disability and retirement pay frozen for nearly three years and then when they do get a meager increase having their income tax withholding rate double and told the lie it's due to low inflation.

Sorry - but that Troglaman Clone/Moonbat has no idea what the hell "self interest" because it has no idea what sacrifice is and equate selfish demands with self-interest. Veterans are not going to vote to screw the soldiers in the field and fellow vets in the name of some screwball "self interest" defined by Moonbats who have no clue what the military stands for, no idea what love of country is and couldn't define what "Duty, Honor, Country" means if their very lives depended on it.

You can look up how vets and active duty military personnel voted in 1980 and be pretty damn sure they're going to vote the same way and even more so in 2012.

What totally baffles me is how even 34 percent of vets could support the SCOAMF Obama.

Even Moonbats can join the Armed Forces, TANSTAAFL, they are just in fewer numbers I would say.

hmmmm, the boss shows up and people are respectful. Never heard of that (sarc). Thats not hero worshipping, thats servicemen being servicemen.

"""I blame the Armed Forces Network that's horribly slanted in favor of rightwing programs."""

Should say, I blame the Armed Forces Network that's horribly slanted in favor of broadcasting things people want to listen to, not barking moonbatotry.

""""it simply gets back to Obama being black."""""

uumm, half-black, half-white, but anyway, WoW, that didn't take long. Are you winning against a liberal? You are automatically RACIST! I guess anyone of color that disagrees with Obama is RACIST against his white side.

Not to mention those lead bullets that are endangering the speckled yellow salamander.
I think it has something to do with the common knowledge that liberals inherently hate the military but few openly say so.

Yeah, the military is so racist that they kept a black man, Colin Powell, from becoming Chairman, Joint Chiefs-of-staff.

Obviously penned by someone whose knowledge of the military is limited to what they learned from the MSM and books written by people on the outside looking in, without even a second-hand experiential basis.

On the contrary, veterans have a fine appreciation for individual liberty, having had to sacrifice their own for extended periods. Many of us have also seen how easy it is to lose in countries where autocratic rule and institutionalized corruption (Imagine a country run like Chicago, for instance, except with the police force picking the next mayor-for-life when one dies, without even the technical formality of elections Chicago has).

Let's not forget that minorities are over-represented in the military compared with civilian life. In uniform, your success and advancement, or lack of same, depend upon how well you do your job, not what color your skin may be. We only see brothers (even if some, of any & all colors, are SOBs you can't stand in garrison--you know they're on your side in the field).
