Holder Special CIA Prosecutor Inspires KOmmie Bloodlust
Breaking: HOLDER to appoint Special Prosecutor!!!
[Enjoy! Perhaps you won't notice the ObamaCare fade while you're celebrating.]
Just got text from WAPO: US Attorney general to appoint prosecutor to investigate allegations that CIA interrogators broke anti-torture laws.
[EEK! They tortured with A/C and extra helpings of orange glaze chicken with rice pilaf.]
This is a great day in America. I don't know much about Durham, but I know having a special prosecutor is what I've wanted since Jan. 20, 2009, and one of the reasons (besides healthcare) that I worked so hard on the campaign.
[Since ObamaCare seems to be a bust, one out of two ain't bad. However, when the backfire comes, you will end up with ZERO out of two.]
Lock 'em up, incl. Dick.
[Straight to The Hague. Do not pass Go.]
Especially Dick. He's the instigator here. He above all needs to be taken down.
[Cheney was in the CIA during the past 8 years? No matter. Prosecute now and sort it out later.]
Don't forget the Chimp. He signed off. Don't let him skate with "Who, me? I'm too stupid."
[Why not go for broke and prosecute Rush Limbaugh too?]
There must be investigation, there must be prosecution, and there ultimately must be life sentences without parole or pardon for 1) the people at the top who ordered torture, 2) those near the top who violated the Constitution on an almost daily basis to allow it to happen, and 3) those who crafted the legal opinions to let it happen.
While many others also arguably deserve life sentences, the absolute minimum is for the people in those three categories to spend the rest of their lives in prison. Anything less is unacceptable to the continued survival of the Constitution, the rule of law, and any semblance of morality or human dignity.
Names in those three categories include, but are not limited to: Cheney, Rove, Bush, Addington, Rumsfeld, Gonzales, Yoo, Bybee.
[And don't forget Barney the Dog.]
Why not use the the Nuremberg trials as a guide....for trying our home-grown international law and constitutional criminals? I can see little difference between the Nazis and these bastards.
[Eichman turned up the A/C at the camps and force fed the prisoners large helpings of orange glaze chicken?]
Rummy, too and I'm betting a guy named Rove got involved, too. Not to mention a couple of Generals.
[Fortunately Karl Rove has already been indicted on May 12, 2006.]
I did state that they should all be in prision. Heck, the dog should probably go too for standing by his master til the end.
[I SWEAR I did NOT read this when I jokingly posted above about Barney the Dog being investigated.]
but what I have learned about Holder ... is that he's methodical and extremely prepared - he's been pushing back on a special prosecutor on torture until he had a clear strategy ...
[but what I have learned about Holder ... is that he's been pushing back against prosecuting the Black Panthers in Philly for threatening voters at the polls with clubs.]
We can lock up the interrogators. We can lock up the memo lawyers. We can lock up people like Rumseld and Rice. All that would be great. But in the end, it STILL won't send the message that the world needs to see. Unless we also lock of GEORGE W. BUSH AND DICK CHENEY, this is gonna be little more than a whitewash.
[Hey! Go for broke! LOCK UP ALL CONSERVATIVES!!!]
I think maybe the overall populace will need to see a huge accumulation of facts before they will begin to believe the degree of horrific-ness that the Cheney administration represented. This move opens to the door to those revelations to those who don't watch MSNBC.
[Yeah, it will open their eyes as to how political these investigations are.]
After the Fitzgerold fiasco I'm not sure it matters. I don't know that the criminal enterprise that was the Bush/Cheney administration can ever be cracked.
[MERRY FITZMAS!!!]
Now let's hope it actually leads to actual justice!
[Justice like the Marc Rich pardon to which Holder gave his thumbs up.]
Look, I want to see Bush and Cheney investigated as much as anyone, but the idea of us "pushing" the AG on any of this is incredibly offensive. It's not Holder's job to give a shit what you or I think. It's his job to enforce the law.
[Enforce the law? So where were the indictments of the Philly Black Panthers who threatened voters with clubs?]
These crimes must be prosecuted, no matter where they lead.
[Unless they lead to Black Panthers intimidating voters.]
Obama took on Holder specifically because he knew he would seek this info out and pursue it, maybe the exact day isn't the best timing but you can be sure that there was a general time frame for investigations to begin.
[The time frame began when Obama's popularity entered the free-fall stage.]
I don't want to see Cheney locked up. As a person who also has a pacemaker, I want to see the battery in Cheney's pacemaker removed. That's good enough for me.
[Feel the love!]
Does anyone think this is strange timing? It seems like there are so many Obama Administration irons in the fire right now, will this get the attention it really needs? Perhaps this is a way of getting the Grand Obstructionist Party to pay less attention to killing Health Care reform and to leave Cap 'N Trade alone.
[Yup! It certainly is strange timing. And it is ALL ABOUT POLITICS.]
All I want for christmas is Bush-Cheney in a cell
[MERRY FITZMAS!]
Would have LOVED Fitzgerald in that post.
If you will recall...Fitzgerald did NOT indict Rove.
[Oh yes he did. It happened on May 12, 2006. Just ask William Rivers Pitt.]
This only matters if they go after DoD higher ups and the Vice President. Locking up some CIA chumps will be a waste of time and effort and make us look like dicks.
[Have no fear. You already look that way.]
I have said it before, timing, by the time 2010 - 2012 roll around, Dick and Geroge will be getting their subpeonas.
[Drooled the KOmmie in anticipation.]
The Right will point to left-leaning sites like Kos and say "See it's a political witch hunt".
[Li'l Beaver's finger is already pointing straight at you.]
This is an instance where it would be better to celebrate in silence and let the process go where it may. Obama has desperately tried to distance himself from any Holder situation, to try and keep politics out of it.
[Too late. We have already noticed your gloat fest.]
They need to get the higher ups, especially Bush and Cheney, and they need also to go out and expose just how widespread this atrocious behavior was. I think that every time we win one thing, it makes it easier to win the next one. It's about time; let's go!
[Hey! Hey! Ho! Ho! Bush and Cheney must go...to The Hague.]
I had hope and faith that this would happen. I am so happy!
[And when you're finished with the massive urinations of happyness in your pants, you might notice that ObamaCare has been run off the road.]
War crimes were committed by George W. ("We don't torture!") Bush, Dick (dictator) Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, John (Torture isn't torture so it is legal.) Yoo, George ("Medal of Freedom") Tenet, Alberto ("I don't recall.") Gonzales, John (Jesus Christ is my savior.) Ashcroft, David Addington, et. al. Execute quickly!
[Bypass the trials! Go straight to the gallows!]

"Try to make the loons forget their disappointment about public option ObamaCare fading away as well as punish those Wascally Republicans by unleashing the Attorney General Hound Eric Holder on the EVIL Bush administration by investigating laughable torture allegations." PJinc
"Laughable torture allegations"? Which would those be?
And you said it's all about "...punish(ing) those Wascally Repblicans (PJ doing Elmer Fudd)."
Another irresponsible clueless fucking comment. Know why?...(it's just a matter of time before susie scolds me for spending too much time with my stupid mollusk friends)
It couldn't have anything to do with endless numbers US interrogators who tortured prisoners or anything, could it? Because that sure as hell didn't happen.
You're all Fucking Delusional...just so you know.
So let me ask you dumbshits something, brave warriors: Would you torture someone? Would you be brave enough to say something like "I knew I was breaking the law but I did it for my country!" Because none of you pussies are doing or saying anything like that. Despite the fact there's a mountain of evidence, pictures, videos, destroyed videos, blah blah blah, not one of you dipsticks have stood up and said you did it for your country. That you sacrificed the law for a noble reason.
Not one (I, troglaman, am counting). You're just whining because you're about to be called on it.
Elmer Fudd would've said "Wascilly WeepubliDUms".
I feel better now.
Thanx, Trog. I made it more Elmer FUddian. Now to go off and torture prisoners with A/C and overfeeding them.
I'm not sure I understand what allegations are being used to initiate this "investigation". Further, even if wrongdoing is suspected, I wouldn't give a great deal of hope to the idea that prosecution is going to be anything more than a multi-year, multimillion dollar Fitzmas-style extravaganza.
Oh, the MSM will slaver and pump up imaginary scenarios, but at the end of the day?
Nothing.
This is just a smokescreen to draw attention away from Porkulus and Obamacare failures.
B-HO. Pissing our money down a rathole every day, and in every way.
Yeah. Let the investigations proceed and the chips fall where they may. In the course of destroying this country, George W. Bush (the First Fool as I loved to call him) undid DECADES of diplomatic protocol.
Were these morons able to get information via torture? Sure they did. Most of that info was false. You see, under those circumstances, the person being tortured will say just about anything. It is quite interesting: no one in this administration (Excuse me, I meant to say, “THAT administration) was smart enough to figure this out.

Another Fitzasco brewing. Some poor bastards, probably contractors, will get prosecuted for EXCEEDING the memos and/or perjury after saying two different things in fifty grillings, and the CIA will end up as hosed as Carter and Stansfield Turner left it. The DUmmies are, as usual, setting themselves up for an emotional rollercoaster with the last stop being somewhere between frustration and heartbreak.
As far as Holder being methodical, I'm not so sure. He's sure political, or else his ability to apply whatever analytical skills he does have to the big picture are severely impaired.
What the heck is Ron Glass doing behind a podium with Mr. Obama?
The only result of this will be Obama approval ratings below 40%...just in time for mid-terms. Leave it to the Dems to consistently snatch defeat rom the jaws of victory.
Funny how they are all riled up about this, but are ok with the Lockerbie terrorist going home to a hero's welcome. I read a whole thread over there with only a few who were upset about Scotland's release of al-Megrahi. There are some seriously messed up folks over there at DU.
You know what?
Even if we had actually used torture on these muthafucking terrorists, and I'm talking REAL torture, not the gentle techniques the bedwetters are up in arms about, if the interogaters had gotten information that saved one American life, may feeling would be "fuck yeah!".
And then "NEXT!"
"Tom Degan
Goshen, NY"
So all that tripe you were spewing was just to plug your blog? That was almost as bad as troglaman. I mean you had all the talking points but left out the potty mouth.
Land O-Goshen, that was weak!
Yeah, troggy knows plenty about torture. He tortures us with his posts all the time.
Wow, troggy has lost it...he's now guoting cartoon characters. We got him....he's about to crack. No wonder they sent in a pinch hitter, TDegan, for him.
How can you possibly read the garbage at DUmmies? Bless you. My blood pressure couldn't take it.
All this does really is open the door for the next President in 2013 to investigate Obama. His administration just has too many bad actors in it to not have a bunch of stuff worth investigating.
Hey, why not just start in 2011 when the GOP gains back all those seats in Congress in 2010?
If someone threatened the family member of ANY of those Dummies, they would kill or torture the person.
Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what would really happen when push came to shove.
I agree that if Obama were more popular with his base right now, he wouldn't be doing this investigation.
The good news is that this will just slow down the rest of Obama's terrible agenda.
On further thought...
Could this be a feelgood sop for the ultra-left?
Could the collapse of Single-Payer and most of the rest of B-HOCare, as well as card check, crap and trade, etc., require a nice emotional distraction for the DUmmies?
This would sure fit the bill, and it wouldn't take too much to stretch this all the way to the midterm elections.
<< So let me ask you dumbshits something, brave warriors: Would you torture someone? >>
If the situation called for it, I'd like to think that I would.
"Thanx, Trog. I made it more Elmer FUddian." PJinc
What?
Oh no, my friend. I, troglaman, made it more Elmer FUmetric.
Let's put it to a vote.
Which sounds more like Elmer Fudd?
A. punish those Wascally Republicans
B. punish those Wascally Weepublicans
I win!!!! Fuck the vote. Anyone who pronounces 'rascally' like 'wascally' can't say 'republicans'. They would say...that's right...'weepublicans'.
Automatic win for the mighty troglaman. Once again.
I did it for Teddy.
"If the situation called for it, I'd like to think that I would." Kirk
I would too. Despite that, there are no heroes here. Not one interrogator has boldly stood up and said they stopped an attack because they crossed the line and saved Americans or obtained actionable intelligence with "enhanced interrogation". Not one. There is not one documented case where torture conclusively deterred an attack. And, believe me, both the present and past administrations would love to parade just one case that justified it. But they can't.
And yet most of you find torture to be defensible. I'll believe it someone can prove that it works.
You do understand, I hope, that what you make OK and legal to do to 'them' makes it OK and legal for them to do to 'us'.
You do understand, I hope, that what you make OK and legal to do to 'them' makes it OK and legal for them to do to 'us'.
Trog, just what, exactly, do you think happens if one of our guys if he is so unlucky as to be taken alive by those pathological bastards? No Oreos for him if he doesn't convert to Islam? He's forced to watch BBC-Overseas TV? Please.
Hot off the presses!
"CIA officers blew smoke in Nashiri's face, according to the report, and they used cigars.
The IG's office described this smoke-blowing as one of several "unauthorized or undocumented techniques" it discovered had been used in isolated incidents by CIA employees interrogating high-level al-Qaida terrorists"
When I was a kid one of my brother's idiot friends thought it was funny to blow second-hand smoke in my face. Now according to the Justice Department he was torturing me.
To be fair though, he never dropped a bug on me or gave me a Koran, or fed me Orange Glaze Chicken so I'm not sure the JD has a case against the guy.
TROGLAMAN - The Official Hate-Mongering Anti-American Guttersnipe of the DUmmie FUnnies Blog Site - pounded down a fifth of Jack Daniels before power-slamming his head squarely up his ass like a jack hammer and emitted the following worthless mental excrement:
"Not one interrogator has boldly stood up and said they stopped an attack because they crossed the line and saved Americans or obtained actionable intelligence with "enhanced interrogation". Not one. There is not one documented case where torture conclusively deterred an attack. And, believe me, both the present and past administrations would love to parade just one case that justified it. But they can't."
And the reason they can't, Guttersnipe, is that such action is usually classified and that releasing information gives enemies of the United States data to devise methods to resist and also puts the individuals who committed such acts and their families and associates at risk for termination by those same enemies.
Not that you care, Guttersnipe...but you should realize if you didn't get your courage and "intelligence" from your best buddies Jim Beam and Jack Daniels.
"Trog, just what, exactly, do you think happens if one of our guys if he is so unlucky as to be taken alive by those pathological bastards? No Oreos for him if he doesn't convert to Islam? He's forced to watch BBC-Overseas TV? Please." not so dumbass.
And what makes you believe that we should emulate them? Because that's what you're saying - 'They do it to us, we do it to them'.
Let's be just like them. These fuckers know how to operate.
What should we do first, dumbass? Make a video of you sawing off one of these cocksucking motherfucker's heads?
They do it to us, we do it to them.
You clearly want us to be just like them. You empower their strategy. You admire it. It works for you. Need I, troglaman, say more?
And what makes you believe that we should emulate them? Because that's what you're saying - 'They do it to us, we do it to them'.
That's not what I said at all, you deceitful and/or stupid and unfocused tool. I was simply pointing out the absurd fallacy of your point (for want of a better word).
Jesus, you really are a true-blue Democrat, unable think straight or even exchange thoughts outside an echo chamber, without trying to twist everyone else's words into a lie in the process.
The little rhetorical trick of which you are so fond, restating your opponent's words into what you wish they said intstead of what they really did say, only works on retards, Liberals, and journalists (To the extent there is a difference), it isn't fooling anyone here.
"Trog, just what, exactly, do you think happens if one of our guys if he is so unlucky as to be taken alive by those pathological bastards? No Oreos for him if he doesn't convert to Islam? He's forced to watch BBC-Overseas TV? Please." dumbass
You meant they were tortured. Which they were.
This somehow means, according to dumbass, we should do the same thing.
So I'll ask you again, dumbass...when should we start sawing people's heads off on video? They're doing it to us so we should do it to them. Right?
"Guttersnipe", that's good, I like that. "Jackanape" comes to mind as does "impudent" and "scurrilous". You have to be creative describing Troggy. Spiro Agnew did it best:
"...a hopeless, hysterical, hypochondriac of history".
Everyone's missing the real point of this latest JD witch hunt. Obama's tossing a bone to his far left supporters. No one is going to be indicted here in the US, there's not enough support for that to happen. Instead, any evidence of misdoings will be turned over to European or UN courts for the issuance of international arrest warrants.
The American Left will get what it wants and Obama and Holder will take the credit for making it happen. But they won't have to deal with any domestic political
fallout; putting Americans on trial in a American court for the crime of protecting America from
terrorism would cause an enormous stink. Let the foreigners do it.
Downside, if another domestic terrorist attack occurs, Obama will own it. But that's a risk he's willing to take and, if it does happen, the MSM will protect him.
I believe you are absolutely correct Elrond.
I've always found the "tortured terrorists lie" whine to be rather obtuse, as if it's the *only* time subjects would consider lying, and that professional interrogators aren't able to tell the difference in either scenario.
"Downside, if another domestic terrorist attack occurs, Obama will own it." Elrond
Therefore, W owns 9-11.
And let's keep doing everything just like he did.
Dumbshits. Fuck. You all drive me, troglaman, nuts.
It's a bone being tossed to the liberal kooks (pardon the redundancy) to keep them frothing at the mouth, that's all. The only problem libs really have about the last 8 years was that it was Bush in office doing it instead of manbearpig. Had manbearpig been in office doing and saying the exact same things that Bush said and did the last 8 years, the same DUmmies that hated Bush would have loved manbearpig. They're loyal to whatever the Dem party tells them to be loyal. Even the things they say at this site are what they've received permission to say. There's even progressive sites like PI and several others who have noted that the DUmmies are nothing more than cult worshipping sheep.
USA4ME
Troggy,
W does indeed own 9/11, and the response to it, he was the POTUS, that's where the buck stops. Everyone on the Left blames him for both being caught by surprise and his alleged over response.
So, if there is another terrorist attack on American soil in the next three and one-half years, it's only fair that O takes the heat. I'll be instructive to see who you (and your fellow dumbasses) point fingers at.
"Everyone on the Left blames him for both being caught by surprise..." elrond
W wasn't caught by surprise. That's a false assertion and you know it.
You keep referring to things that might happen as if they've actually happened. That's different than referring to things that DID actually happen.
So far, nothing's happened on Obama's watch except those things in your head. Those things remain in your head, thank God. We'll see.
W wasn't caught by surprise.
He wasn't? Then he knew the 9/11attacks were coming? Are you a truther or just a schmuck?
"He wasn't?" elrond
Are you seriously claiming W wasn't warned of an imminent threat?
And if Obama and the rest of us suffer an attack, are you willing to cut him as much slack as you're cutting W?
But here's the thing, elrond. This scenario, so far, only exists in your head. Obama has not been attacked. The US has not been attacked on Obama's watch. You derive conclusions based on fantasy and accept them as truth. That's pretty much the definition of crazy.
However, W did suffer an attack. And he was warned. It happened on his watch. Like Katrina, he was warned. Neither turned out very well.
Those are facts, not speculation. But you'd rather give W a break for what he DID OR DIDN'T do during an ACTUAL EVENT and condemn Obama for what he did or didn't do during an EVENT THAT HASN'T YET HAPPENED. This is what makes the most sense to you. Brilliant.
You're a loon.
Right, I'm a loon. And you're a schmuck who's saying W was specifically warned of the 9/11 attacks before they happened.
Been hanging with van Jones?
elrond...
9-11 happened on W's watch.
Care to dispute that?
Nothing has happened yet on Obama's watch.
Care to dispute that?
If something does happen on Obama's watch, are you OK with "He didn't know it would happen?" You've already said you're not.
So why can't I be unhappy with the same logic since it ACTUALLY happened on 'W's watch.
Or should I be unhappy with Obama because of a terrorist attack that HASN'T ACTUALLY happened?
That is what you're saying, cheesewad. Live with it.
Pliny The Elder. Really good. Hard to find.
I prefer Pliny the Younger, the Elder came to a bad end.
Hey, you're right, 9/11 happended on Bush's watch while, to date, nothing has happened on Obama's watch. "Watch", I love that word; the image of the President standing on the ramparts keeping lookout for the barbarian Picts. Pliny would understand.
So? I keep reading and re-reading what you've written and I can't make any sense of it. Maybe I fail to grasp Latin logic.
December 7, 1941, September 11, 2001, failures of "watch" or a deeper conspiracy? Let's ask Van Jones.
Van Jones knows RepubliDUms are assholes.
That's good enough for me.
"Watch", I love that word; the image of the President standing on the ramparts keeping lookout for the barbarian Picts. Pliny would understand." elrond
Ha! Yes he would! Pretty damn funny.
And your comments regarding Pliny the Younger are intriguing. I, troglaman, recently heard it's better than the Elder but only sold by keg to limited establishments, two of which are in Tacoma. The quest begins - The Fellowship of the Younger Pliny. May we only hope to achieve what you have already achieved, Bilb...I mean, elrond. And please tell me you're not referring to the Younger as "my precious". On the other hand, if it's that good, fuck it. I'm in.
"I keep reading and re-reading what you've written and I can't make any sense of it. Maybe I fail to grasp Latin logic." elrond
I'm Scandinavian. We're about to disappear but this is a good discussion.
You say Obama will own the next terrorist attack.
But you're slow to admit W's ownership by saying W "couldn't have known".
You seem to be saying that Obama will know about it(during the proposed future terrorist attack) But W, during an actual attack, couldn't be held accountable because he couldn't have known.
It's a double standard. You've already made up your mind that Obama will own the "next terrorist attack" but have repeatedly said W, even though actually sustaining a terrorist attack, couldn't have known about it and is responsible just because he happened to be there at the time. There's a distinction you're not owning up to.
No, I am not saying that Obama will know about a domestic terrorist attack. Like Bush, He'll be taken by surprise. Bush "owns" 9/11 in that he was CIC, just as as Obama will "own" any future attack (which I truly hope will not come or will be foiled in the attempt) as he is CIC. FDR "owns"
12/7 because he was in charge of national security when Pearl Harbor was attacked.
The sad truth is that some deluded people still blame FDR for the Pearl Harbor attack (he made it happen or allowed it to happen) just as "truthers" blame Bush for 9/11. So, if there is another domestic terrorist attack, rumors of a conspiracy will immediately arise and Obama will "own" them.
Sad but true.
BTW. The Pliny the Elder who "came to a bad end" was the historical personage, not the beer. The elder Pliny died in the eruption of Vesuvius, 79AD. He's the only ancient Roman to have given a name to a type of volcanic eruption ("plinian").
BTW2: Both the Elder and the Younger are excellent brews, although I prefer Two Hearted Ale.
"The elder Pliny died in the eruption of Vesuvius, 79AD.."
I know! That's what made you're earlier comment about the ramparts so funny.
You are aware, I hope, that you've taken a considerable walk back from your original "Obama will own the next terrorist attack" comment, asshole.
Two-Hearted IS good.
Two-Hearted IS good
I don't thonk that I've taken a "walk back" so much as refined and clarified my position, dumbass.
At least we agree on that. It is, however, pricey. I'm thinking of driving to Kalamazoo and buying a keg.
