DUmmies Mourn Overturning of Tom DeLay Conviction
It was a sad day today in DUmmieland. The DUmmies are mourning the overturning of the POLITICAL conviction of former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay as you can see in this THREAD, "Tom DeLay verdict overturned by Texas appellate court." No word yet on the reaction of Charlie Rangel who had tons of REAL evidence against him yet still escaped any prosecution. So let us now watch the DUmmies sad but angry reaction to the overturned conviction of The Hammer in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, wondering how long before the Democrats conjure up imaginary charges against fellow Texan Ted Cruz, is in the [brackets]:
HOUSTON -– A Texas Court of Appeals in Austin has overturned the conviction of former U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, attorney Brian Wice tells KHOU 11 News.
[DUmmies begin the long mourning process.]
In documents released early Thursday, the court said the evidence in the case was "legally insufficient to sustain DeLay’s convictions." The court said all judgments against DeLay were reversed, and the former congressman was formally acquitted. DeLay was convicted in 2010 for his alleged role in a scheme to influence Texas elections. Since then, he has been praying for vindication but also preparing for the possibility of imprisonment.

Love watching vicious hate-mongering Moonbats howl in rage when reality crushes their fantasy universe.
I hope DeLay decides to run for Congress again...if he were to be elected, Moonbats all across Texas would have their heads explode.

In fact, the prosecution was politically motivated. The prosecutor had to seat three different grand juries before he could get an indictment. He failed twice, but the third time was the charm. The prosecutor should be brought up on charges of prosecutorial misconduct, then disbarred from practicing law in Texas ever again.

The right likes to claim that Obama set race relations back, but in my opinion, he has helped move race relations forward by forcing the racists out of the woodwork and exposed the virulent bigotry that still infects too many Americans.
The internet has also helped to expose the extremists by giving them an anonymous platform to spout their divisive, racist rhetoric, but the interminable ugliness of their words tends to turn people off in the end.
The world is moving toward a new struggle between civilization and barbarism, and the racists are on the wrong side of history.
Some people advocate muzzling them, but I think that allowing them to spout their rhetoric will better reveal them for what they are.
The right-wing demagogues and extremists today remind me of the McCarthy era, and I think that the public will again reject the stunted diet of hate and intolerance that the right wants to impose on the US.

No, the President does not hate America and the President is not destroying America! Since he has taken office, unemployment is down the stock market is up.
