Depressed DUmmies Predict Obama Political Demise

The DUmmies are quickly losing their faith in The One. Why? Because it looks more and more likely that any health care program that is passed will have NO "public option" which are code words for "single payer" which are code words for "socialized medicine." Actually it is becoming increasingly unlikely that there will be any health care program, other than just some meaningless Happy Face plan for PR purposes only, coming out of Congress this year or anytime in the foreseeable future. As Obama himself said, we have run OUT of money. Also the Chinese holds a major portion of any debt and will look very unkindly on any more inflationary programs being passed. However, the DUmmies just can't face reality and are now predicting that Obama will NOT be re-elected if a "public option" health care program isn't passed as you can see in this THREAD, "I predict that if President Obama does not sign a real Public Option for Health Care into law--one that everyone has the option of purchasing that makes healthcare affordable, where every American is covered, he will not be re-elected." So let us now watch the DUmmies predict Obama's political downfall in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, looking forward to the fireworks when NOTHING happens on the health care program front due to lack of money, is in the [barackets]:

I predict that if President Obama does not sign a real Public Option for Health Care into law--one that everyone has the option of purchasing that makes healthcare affordable, where every American is covered, he will not be re-elected.

[I predict grave disappointment in DUmmieland.]

The base will abandon him if he does not veto any reform bill that isn't universal and affordable.

[Abandon Ship! The S.S. Obama is sinking! And now to the other disappointed DUmmies...]

I'd say that's a pretty good prediction.

[I'd put odds on that one too.]

I won't be "abandoning" Obama...... He will have abandoned me.
I will wisely look elsewhere for representation.

[Dennis Kookcinich?]

We need a Progressive Party now more than ever.

[The Greens and Socialist Workers Parties have their signup booths in the wings.]

I agree .. he has said it would be done repeatedly. He won't be reelected.. without it.

[Bye-bye 'Bama!]

IMO, the 2 hallmarks of the Obama Presidency will be health care reform and the economy. Both will have an effect on every person in the country. Since the economy can be somewhat of a wildcard issue, and the people he has advising him on it seem to want to maintain the staus quo, he needs to get healthcare reform right.

[He FLOPPED on the economy but let us cross our fingers and hope he gets healthcare right by also tossing money at it.]

I do think he lives and dies by the economy.

[Uh-oh!]

The economy has been tied directly to a healthcare plan.

[Tying the Porkopulos anchor to healthcare so both can sink together?]

He has hung a lot on health care and seems to be losing the battle. Maybe he has something up his sleeve that will pull it off , remains to be seen.

[Yes, the magician will pull a wascally wabbit from his sleeve and all will be well.]

He's got nothing else. No end to the wars. No end to insanely bloated WAR budgets. No prosecutions for torture or war crimes. Plenty of releasing convicted rethuglican politicians from jail but f*ck Siegleman. Plenty of support for DOMA and DADT. No f*cking clue as to what to do with the economy except shower money on the banks that destroyed it and give them complete control of the destruction via their puppets Geithner and Summers. Throw in unemployment peaking at about 15% next year.

[But, hey, he did make us aware of Five Guys Hamburgers. I actually have one nearby. Must try it out of curiosity. But NOTHING can possibly beat Tommy's Burgers in L.A.. Yummm!]

So yeah, if Obama can't deliver on at least health care, he will not be re-elected. I doubt he will even be able to win the primary. This whole administration is starting to parallel Jimmy Carter's (I love Carter but he was ineffective) and I would expect if Obama can't get health care done properly he is toast. As are we all.

[Jimmy Obama?]

It is endlessly amusing that even the DUmmies are now realizing exactly, precisely what we predicted long before the election: that an Obama Presidency would lead to exactly the high unemployment, massive deficit spending, and massive bloating of government ... with little or zero of that promised "change" stuff ... and that in the end he'd wind up looking almost exactly like Jimmy Carter.

I'm actually impressed. I figured it would take most liberals *at least* two years to recognize the truth. I'm kind of shocked that even the loons at DU are seeing reality after just 6 months in office.

I almost feel sorry for Barry.

And somewhere I can hear Dubya's patented Texas chuckle. He's gotta be pretty entertained right now.

Go check the latest: after endless promises of more "openness," our Messiah President is making the Bush administration look pretty "open" by comparison:

Actually ... no. Sure, by tradition and historical precedent, we assume the sitting president will be a party's nominee. But there can certainly be primary challenges to an incumbent - and its happened plenty of times before. Reagan came damn close to getting the nomination in 1976 ... despite the Republican incumbent.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Barry had some challenges from the Left. Which will serve only to weaken him in the general, which is fine by me.

I could name my own favorite from around here but it wouldn't mean anything to you and then there'd be this huge flame-war. Perfect ratios of mustard to lettuce would be argued but only escalate the acrimony. Troglaman would jump in with some northwestern burger-joint jibberish that would be mixed in with multiple curses and name calling. Or else he'd start some "meat is murder" tirade that would be equally as burdensome but surprise no one.

Do you really want to be the instigator of that mess? It just seems like an unwarranted headache to me.

Whatever chokes you're chicken, icarus. It's Obama's fault. Know what? Satan himself could've been elected last November and you guys would STILL be the whack-job jerkoffs who got us into this cluster fuck in the first place. Nothing can change that. Not even Satan. And that's saying something.

This fiscal responsibility bullshit is BULLSHIT. Got that? You dunderheads wouldn't know fiscal responsibility if it crawled up your leg and bit you in the balls. You'd claim it was either an act of God or a pre-abortion abortion and somehow tie the two together neatly. It's what you do.

Let me ask you simians something: Are you happy having an insurance clerk stand between you and your Dr.? Are you so so scared that a single payer option would actually save you money, make 'pre-existing conditions' (you know, those things that you actually NEED help with) a thing of the past? That employers would be relieved of the enormous burden of health care?

If we were all taxed the amount of money we privately pay for health care, you fuckers would be advertising for a suitcase nuke. Not that you aren't already but, never the less, you'd all be seriously pissed off.

But that's what it is. You're fine with giant, multi-national insurance companies reaming your ready and willing asses. You like it, you sick bastards. You want it. You.Want.It. Fucking amazing.

Dear God, no. That's why I ensure that I can pay for my own health care. Insurance is only necessary for catastrophic illness or injury.

But regardless, the insurance company is light-years better than what you propose: letting big government stand between me and my doctor.

I've lived in a country with nationally run health care. Anybody who has seen it in action (or more likely, inaction) doesn't want it.

Ask Canadians. They know.

Unfortunately, I don't even have to debate the point. Because we're headed that way, and you'll agree soon enough. As soon as you wait two years for an operation that would have been scheduled in two weeks, the first time you have to weight 8 hours to get a broken leg set ... you'll see.

The current system sucks. Obama's proposed solution is a thousand times worse.

"If the whole country became a buying block, every damn one of us, do you think health procedures, supplies, etc, would become more affordable?"-troglaman

I'm not The Gunslinger but I'll answer "No".

When there's only one option, that option can charge whatever it wants to pay for it, and print it's own money, and make laws to support it's ideas. Now throw in the government's desire to spend money meant for one thing on another. If there ever was more money coming in on healthcare than the government thought (supressed laughter) it would be spent on one of a thousand other entitlements, tiwce. Now there's no more money and that means taxes have to go up. That means the cost of healthcare goes up, or services decline.

Now let's look at the flip side. Let's say that there isn't enough money to support government healthcare. Since there's no more money that means taxes have to go up. That means the cost of healthcare goes up, or services decline.

Which result do you think will happen? Why not both?

If you don't believe me, look at the history of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid to name a few related topics.

Anonymous troglaman said...

"When there's only one option, that option can charge whatever it wants to pay for it" He/She who shall not be named

Good point. However, there's not just one option. It's countless Drs, clinics, drug companies, equipment manufacturers, hospitals, pharmacies, etc. that are competing for blocks of insurance buyers.

A public option, btw, would compete in this environment.

Government single payer would introduce a huge block of buyers that would necessarily force the health-care industry to compete with themselves for their fair share of the pie. It'd be cheaper and it'd be smarter which means pigs will fly before it ever happens.

What I'm trying to say is your "one option" is not what you think it is. There is not a "one option" coalition out there waiting to pounce, thrilling as the thought may be. There's more than one drug company. There's more than one lab. There's more than one clinic. They compete for business.

So it was a good point, anon (scary too), until one realized The Diabolical 'One Option' is a figment of your optional imagination.

After reading the worthless mental excrement that Troglaman - The Official Anti-American Hate-Mongering Guttersnipe of the DUmmie FUnnies Blog Site - placed here, I need to put in a dose of reality.

After drinking what had to be very deep draughts from his fifths of Jack Daniels and Jim Beam, Troglaman droned the following:

However, there's not just one option. It's countless Drs, clinics, drug companies, equipment manufacturers, hospitals, pharmacies, etc. that are competing for blocks of insurance buyers.

Bullshit, Guttersnipe. Pure, worthless bullshit.

There will be no competition. Once the government puts out a plan the competition is finished. Businesses who offer health care benefits will drop them ASAP. Insurance companies will also cease coverage as soon as they can. Why? They have to deal with profit and loss - the government doesn't. The government never has to show a profit and they print the money. So they cannot be competed with. PERIOD. That's just basic economics.

But the biggest threat from this is that the government can't cover the promises it's already making. The Obamassiah is saying he will save huge amounts of money in health care by expanding the number of people who qualify. That's impossible and insane, which is probably why Troglaman The Guttersnipe understands it so well. Once the government takes over the system, you'll get what they have in Oregon. Instead of the evil insurance agent Troglaman The Guttersnipe has such a rabid hatred for telling you you're out of luck, you'll have a cold-blooded government bureaucrat telling you you're out of luck. Thing is you can sue the insurance company if you think they screwed you. Once the government takes over, you're screwed and that's the end of the discussion. Take a look at Canada, which is what The Obamassiah and his fellow Moonbats say is the proper way to go. Their system is working wonderfully ain't it? That is if you think wonderful is having to wait years for service.

You'd better pray and call your Congressional delegations and let them know that under no circumstances should they pass this health care "reform". If they do pass it, we are all permanently screwed, and kicking Troglaman's teeth in for his drunken lies about it won't make it feel much better.

9:41 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Although I wouldn't have been as blunt as Jerome Goolsby, he addressed all the facts that dispute the derisory notion that "a public option, btw, would compete in this environment."

It's simply no longer "competition" when party A can make laws that affect party B. And it has no recourse when it cannot compete because party B must make a profit to survive and party A has no such constraints.

Haven't we addressed your myopia before?

Never mind that providing health care insurance is choking the life out of both small and big business. God forbid businesses will go for the cheaper alternative.

"...you'll have a cold-blooded government bureaucrat telling you you're out of luck." Jerome

Let me ask you a simple question, jerome: When you're out of benefits, who tells you you're out of luck? Now.

It must be the warm, empathetic, understanding insurance clerk. Not the "cold-blooded government bureaucrat".

Do you vote, jerome? Because it seems to me you don't believe in government. Maybe you vote for people that don't believe in government. Then you'd be a dumbass for obvious reasons. It's be like hiring a gardener who doesn't believe in gardening.

L.O.L. This is hilarious. YES, in a sense I do vote for those who 'don't believe in government'... in that I vote for those that make government less intrusive in my personal life. The government of the United States was never meant to intrude in each of our personal lives as it does now. We've shifted from freedom and liberty to supposed 'security'.

2:27 AM
Anonymous Jerome Goolsby said...

Thanks Mudman...I would never expect a Guttersnipe like Troglaman to come up with anything coherent.

If you look at his drunken rants, you'll note he's trying to play as if he believes in every concievable angle. This is of course impossible. Businesses will drop it because it's cheaper but that's not a good thing because the public will wind up picking the tab for worse service. Why the hell should people who are not utilizing the services of the business wind up paying for their health care?

He's also either a fool or a liar when he says "Government single payer would introduce a huge block of buyers that would necessarily force the health-care industry to compete with themselves for their fair share of the pie." NO THEY WON'T. The government will set the price and that will be the end of the discussion. You will see service rationed because that's the only way it can be done and be able to have a snowball's chance in hell of paying for it. And if the government deems you are not worth the expenditure, too damn bad.

Something else Troglaman The Guttersnipe refused to note was that you can sue an insurance company when they wrongly deny you benefits. There will be no such option when government takes control. Obviously, Guttersnipe likes that.

And as to cold-blooded bureaucrats, I'm a retired disabled veteran with a Master's in Public Adminstration. I know more about how a bureaucracy is supposed to run and how it does run than Troglaman The Guttersnipe could ever know. Maybe his friends Jim and Jack give him enough solace and courage to not give a damn if the public gets fucked blind eight ways to Sunday. I however do not believe you fix the flaws in the best system in the world by destroying it and then screwing the public blind just because your fantasy world leads you to believe you're too brilliant to fail. The House yesterday just voted to destroy most of the industrial base of the economy and screw the public blind over a problem we can literally do nothing to cause or fix. I would encourage anyone who isn't Troglaman to let their Congressional representatives know that you want this insanity to stop and stop now or else they can kiss their cushy jobs goodbye next election.

Did you know that every senator and congress person has the option of buying private insurance? Want to know how many of them have taken the private option?

Zero. They opt for the public option and get it. And you all are just fine with the fact that you can't get the same thing. You're eager to dump your money into a business devoted to coming up with reasons not to provide services that have been costing you hundreds of dollars per month. You like it.

You're willingly blind, you fucking pussies.

Did you give up on defining your fallacious comment already? You also never guessed what I was thinking yesterday. You seemed so sure you knew what I was thinking the day before. I'll give you this, you never fail to dissapoint.

Do you mean that Congress is OK using taxpayer dollars instead of their own for healthcare?! My, that IS surprising. Nobody that thinks, is "fine" with the fact that we can't get the same thing. In fact nobody would get the same thing. Frankly, I think they should take responsibility for themselves and pay for their own insurance. But even then we'd be paying for their healthcare since they get paid with taxes. They get the "public option" no matter what.

If the questionable numbers are anywhere close to reality, let's say for the sake of argument that they are, then the number of doctors that treat roughly 250 million Americans will now be required to treat roughly 300 million Americans. Quality of care doesn't go up when something like that happens. Now throw in possible new doctors realizing that the 25 hour days they would be looking forward to will be nothing compared to what's in store for them. Not to mention added government micromanagement to their already highly scrutinized profession with none of the rewards, monetary and otherwise, that they currently enjoy since their profession will no longer be private. This will not lead to more doctors in the long run.

I'm sorry, until you prove to me that you were able to know what I was thinking before, you're not allowed to pretend you can read my mind again. You had your chance and, not surprisingly, you blew it.

p.s. Start a health savings account now if you haven't already. You'd be surprised how fast it grows even with a small deposit. You don't have to thank me but you'll be glad you have it.
