DUmmies debate the Climousine Liberals in "Warmerful Copenhagen"

So this big climate change confab is going on right now in Copenhagen. Lots of British Thermal Units have given their lives to fly in the delegates from all around the globe. Delegates from the "rich" countries want to feel good and guilty about being rich, greedy, energy guzzlers. Delegates from the "developing" countries want to exploit that guilt and extract their gold--collecting billions of dollars from the rich folks to help them adapt to "climate change." So this conference is about "going green" alright: It's about the green going out of OUR pockets and into theirs!

And all this on the heels of Climategate! Recent revelations have shown that the scientists in charge of collecting the data have actually MANIPULATED the data to make the situation look worse than it really is. Talk about climate change!

Yes, the Warmers have descended on Copenhagen--the city is full of them. So before we get to the DUmmies' take on the climate change conference, let's sing this musical tribute to the goings-on there in "Warmerful Copenhagen":

WARMERFUL COPENHAGEN
Tune: "Wonderful Copenhagen"

Warmerful, warmerful Copenhagen
Climate gatekeepers in town
We will say it's hot
Even when it's not
We will pass the gas around

In warmerful, warmerful Copenhagen
Putting the foolish in fuel
Now I'm turning green
Getting sick, I mean
Singing Copenhagen
Warmerful, warmerful
Copenhagen is cool!

I flew on my private jet
To pay off my climate debt
Meeting Algore for cocktails today
And there he stands, waiting for me
With a welcome so warm if I pay

Warmerful, warmerful Copenhagen . . .

Warmerful, warmerful Copenhagen
Climate gatekeepers in town
We will say it's hot
Even when it's not
We will pass the gas around

In warmerful, warmerful Copenhagen
Putting the foolish in fuel
Now I'm turning green
Getting sick, I mean
Singing Copenhagen
Warmerful, warmerful
Copenhagen is cool!

Now let's hear from the DUmmies, specifically, from this
THREAD, "Copenhagen climate summit: 1,200 limos, 140 private planes and caviar wedges." What gets the DUmmies' goat in this thread is the sheer HYPOCRISY of the carbon-consuming Climousine Liberals in Copenhagen. But some of the DUmmies are ready to DEFEND the Climos, if it means punishing us EEEvil American gas-guzzlers. The DUmmie comments are in Climate Debt Red, while the commentary of your humble guest correspondent, the wag tailoring the doggerel, Charles Henrickson--who, by the way, has been to Copenhagen a number of times--is in the [brackets]:

Copenhagen climate summit: 1,200 limos, 140 private planes and caviar wedges

[It's a regular Climategated community!]

Majken Friss Jorgensen, managing director of Copenhagen's biggest limousine company, says . . . "We thought they were not going to have many cars, due to it being a climate convention. . . . We haven't got enough limos in the country to fulfil the demand. . . ."

[Limos for Climos.]

The airport says it is expecting up to 140 extra private jets during the peak period alone, so far over its capacity. . . .

[Private jets for climate debt.]

As well 15,000 delegates and officials, 5,000 journalists and 98 world leaders, the Danish capital will be blessed by the presence of Leonardo DiCaprio, Daryl Hannah, Helena Christensen, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Prince Charles.

[In an innovative bit of street theatre staged in Copenhagen's harbor, Leo DiCaprio's "Titanic Boy" will fall off a boat hit by a wandering iceberg, only to be rescued by Daryl Hannah's "Little Mermaid," in a last act of heroism before she dies of warm water temperatures.]

The top hotels – all fully booked at £650 a night – are readying their Climate Convention menus of (no doubt sustainable) scallops, foie gras and sculpted caviar wedges.

[What? No chocolate fountain? . . . Now the DUmmies comment on this story . . .]

I for one am glad to have all these distinguished gentlemen and women come together in one place to finally get the rest of us to cut down on our wasteful and extravagant lifestyles.

[I detect a note of sarcasm.]

I'll defend it. if these greedy motherf***ers add another few centuries to our civilization's lifespan, good for them. I won't begrudge them the swanky dining or high priced whores.

[Is that you, Tiger Woods?]

Of course you don't care to talk about 1200 limos or 140 private jets. That's inconvenient.

[An inconvenient truth.]

not everyone at this conference is serious about combating global warming. . . .

[Not everyone at this conference is serious about combating the FRAUD that is "Anthropogenic Global Warming."]

I admit I'm on the fence now about global warming because of the recent e-mails. . . .

[Climatefence?]

in the past the people I respected were the Ed Begley Jr's and the Darryl Hannah's because they talked the talk and walked the walk.

[Ed and Daryl soon will be filming an HBO special, "Six Feet Under Water."]

This can't be justified and it's wrong and it makes the entire movement look like fools.

[Call it the El No-no Effect.]

you just don't understand....the rules are for the peasants.

[Also on the menu: Peasant under gas.]

Obama should set an example by crossing the Atlantic in a sailboat.

["A three-hour tour, a three-hour tour. . . ." I'm picturing Little Buddy Barry and Skipper Joe marooned on an island with John Forbes Kerry III and Lovey, Movie Star Daryl, and the rest.]

Throw another polar bear on the grill, as long as I get my limo and private jet I will be fine.

Do you want the problem solved or not? Or do you just want to carp?

[No carp. Grilled polar bear!]

gaia will be enraged by our lack of faith. She will probably have her earthly representatives burn us alive, or worse, sit through another lecture on the importance of using only one sheet of toilet paper.

[Wipeout!]

Nobody is saying go 0 carbon but most of them are releasing more carbon than a family of 4 in a year to talk about how to reduce carbon.

[Carbohypocrites.]

the super-rich are the biggest contributors to global warming, pollution, & environmental destruction on the planet.

[Actually, that would be . . . China. China, the world's worst polluter, but a supposed "developing country," thus getting a free pass--and free money--at this sham of a conference.]

a "climate expert" was cornered into admitting there will be increases in the cost of energy if the cap and trade BS is ever implemented....but that's OK most of us are millionaires and are willing to bite the bullet for this feelgood "look i'm doing something about global warming" nonsense. i do not believe for a minute we can affect global warming...errr, i mean climate change by cutting our "carbon footprint".

[LOUSY FREEZER TROLL!!!]

Yawn..... pass the caviar wedge.

[Caviar: It's a wedge issue!]

Darryl will not be arriving in a airport shuttle I bet.

[Mer-maid Global Warming.]

This happens to be true. And I, troglaman, can prove it. Any of you dumbshits ready to tell me I'm wrong?

Fuck it. You already know I'll kick you're ass. But see? This is the thing - you know I can kick your ass and yet you keep on keeping on.

The super-rich are the biggest contributers to pollution, corruption, etc. Pick your poison.

Anyone that doesn't grasp that simple concept is an idiot.

Once again, PJinc inadvertently proves me, troglaman, the smartest guy on the planet.

Incomprehensible logic as always troggy, however you are right in a sense. One of the biggest contributors of personal carbon footprint in the US is Almergency Gore himself, who has indeed made quite a bundle off his scaremongering.

Troglatwerp reminds me of that kid on the playground who always ran around talking smack unprovoked, cried like a little girl when somebody finally engaged him on his terms, then came back the very next day talking smack as if nothing had happened.

I guess some people just need to be the constant center of attention?

It all boils down to guilt. You there, Super-Rich Guy! You should be ashamed of yourself for working hard and being smart with your money to amass such incredible wealth! You should be ashamed of your father, for having done the same to leave you such a nice inheritence!

SHAME!

There is only one venue for repentence! Give it all to me, because only I have seen the plight of the little person, and only I can justly --oh sweet, is that an '87 959 in the back corner of the garage...?

TROGLAMAN - The Official Hate-Mongering Anti-American Guttersnipe of the DUmmie FUnnies Blog Site - power-slammed head repeatedly up his ass like a jackhammer and emitted the following preposterous blatant lie:

"Once again, PJinc inadvertently proves me, troglaman, the smartest guy on the planet."

Sorry, Guttersnipe, but repeatedly power-slamming your head up your ass so you don't have to abandon your private universe of lies and deceit and face cold hard reality doesn't pass for intelligence except in your fantasy-world universe. You are about as smart as a doornail and as classy as a buzzard.

Oh, by the way, Kirk, you have Guttersnipe pegged perfectly. Well done :)

As evidenced by all the comment threads you've on which you've quit because you've no response to actual logic. Oh wait.. That's not kicking our "ass", it's just the opposite.

I'm afraid your statement doesn't ring true. But why would you start now?

"the super-rich are the biggest contributors to global warming...pollution...environmental destruction..."

This is the "incomprehensible logic" mudman is referring to.

Maybe you could inform the incomprehensibly stupid troggy what is so fucking hard to understand...to comprehend. Are you really saying the super-rich aren't the biggest contributors to "global warming...pollution...environmental destruction..."?

I, troglaman, think you are. And that, my muddy and yet strangely masculine friend, makes you a real big stupid fucking dumbass.

"In the past three years, nearly 70,000 square kilometres of the Amazon rainforest have been destroyed.
