The most recent polls have indicated that between 60 and 70 percent of all America is down with the public option. Are these the "progs" PJinc eloquently waxes about? Between two-thirds and three-forths of the country? These are the left-wing, liberal, progressive element that are so pissed off? An overwhelming majority of the whole fucking country?

What Guttersnipe (Troglaman) has done is cherry pick that poll. As someone who has a public relations background, I can tell you that is done often. What the poll really says, and what Guttersnipe refuses to acknowledge, is that while the poll says they want a public option as the poll defines it (who WOULDN'T want something for nothing), once they are told how that will be accomplished, they reject by those same overwhelming majorities Guttersnipe so self-righteously touts.

You're mostly right. However Kos has suggested dropping the mandate from the bill and moving forward. That may be what happens.
