"Sometimes I feel that this country is too stupid to elect Obama"

"We're not worthy! We're not worthy!" Americans are not smart enough or enlightened enough to vote for one as beautiful as Obamassiah. So says DUmmie MrScorpio, and a lot of his fellow DUmmies agree with him, as we see in this THREAD, "I hate to say this, but sometimes I feel that this country is too stupid to elect Obama." Actually, what the DUmmies are doing here is searching for yet ANOTHER excuse to use--like "election fraud," "racism," etc.--when Opossum loses on November 5th. So let us watch the DUmmies prepare themselves in advance for crushing disappointment, in Bolshevik Red, while the commentary of your humble guest correspondent, Charles Henrickson, wondering how those same stupid Americans managed to elect a Democrat Congress, is in the [Barackets]:

I hate to say this, but sometimes I feel that this country is too stupid to elect Obama

[Oh, somehow I don't think you hate to say it at all, MrScorpio.]

I'm tempted to give up on these idiotic f*ckers.

[What if Opossum WINS? Will they still be "idiotic f*ckers"?]

What makes a person believe that (a.) Bush is a legitimate president, instead of an evil clown in a tailored suit . . .

[Why so serious?]

and (b.) McCain is actually capable of being president, instead of being the living embodiment of Abe Simpson?

[I would vote for Abe Vigoda over Obama. And he's 87.]

And those lying b*st*rds protesting in the House... Why won't anyone just tell them to shut the f*ck up?

[I thought you Democrats believed in protest.]

With all of this sh*t and more like it, it's almost as if Obama is too good for America.

[You're too good for us, Obamassiah! We're not worthy! We're not worthy!]

America is suffering from a national case of the Stockholm Syndrome. . . .

[SWEDOPHOBE!]

we better wake the f*ck up by November, or else we'll be royally f*cked.

[Set your alarm for November 5th!]

Rant off

[Rant continued now by your fellow DUmmies . . .]

People don't see the big picture. And the GOP knows how to play ignorance and prejudice like a violin.

[Stop the violins!]

Bush Being Allowed to govern for 8 years is proof that we have some stupid ass folk in this country.

[How do you explain eight years of Bubba?]

With all the problems, lies, wars, etc., I really don't understand why everyone is not in the streets.

[TO THE STREETS! OUT OF THE BASEMENT! THE REVOLUTION BEGINS TODAY!]

How McSame could be remotely close in the polls is beyond me.

[Let's see, Obama's inexperience, empty rhetoric, extreme liberalism, flip-flops, sleazy associates. . . . The only reason it IS close is that McCain is such a weak candidate.]

If Obama is not elected, we are just f*cked!

[Book your flight to France NOW!]

They were too stupid to elect Howard Dean (or even John Kerry) in 2004. . . .

[Somehow they got suddenly smarter and elected a Democrat Congress in 2006.]

I'll be getting as far away from this national trainwreck as possible, if McOldfart gets in.

[Flights are filling up FAST!]

Yep, this country is about as stupid as it gets.

[Europe beckons. Heed the call.]

Unfortunately, the brainwashing triggers come in, whether it's their church telling them that gays having abortions will bring on Armededdon . . .

["Gays" (sic), if they are true to their "gayness," cannot possibly have abortions. So "Armededdon" (sic) will have to wait.]

or that the terraists will get them if they vote for the Democrats.

[The extra-terraists would get us if we had voted for Kucinich.]

Hopefully Howard Dean's 50 state strategy has put a huge dent in the propaganda factor. . . .

[Not to mention Obama's 57 state strategy.]

Are we too f*cking stupid or are we not too f*cking stupid?

[DUmmie identity crisis. Answer: You are.]

I feel your pain.

[I feel you're insane.]

concentrated effort by the powers that be to control the masses by...
dumbing down people with our inadequate educational system...

[Controlled by LIBERALS!]

numbing them into oblivion with mass media...

[Controlled by LIBERALS!]

No high school kid learns enough about how the government works and how politics is played.

[Thank your liberal teacher unions!]

we don't have the time to prepare decent meals anyore.

[FREE JOHNSONVILLE BRATS FOR ALL!]

It's a wonder we can tie our own $10 Payless shoes anymore.

[We're only $10 away from wearing shoes.]

people are in fact STUPID

[Some of them are even DUMMIES!]

God, guns, gays, abortion.

[Typical bitter white persons. . . .]

each one teach one! That's all we can do.

[DUAC! DUAC!]

Take a look at my BEARak Obama bear. . . .I have just received a bunch of emails from teddy bear collectors . . . who saw my BEARak Obama on Ebay. . . . Let me explain.... I am a Teddy Bear Artist, which means I design and create one of a kind bears and sell them on a special category page on Ebay. . . . If you want to see how Barack looks as a bear, you can go to my website. . . .

[Let me explain, new DUmmie polarmaker (3 posts).... selling your bear wares on this thread is a good way for you to meet tombstoner (10,000 granite cookies).]

spam? my post is spam? I had to think a minute to try to see what you meant. Is it because I referenced my Bear that is on Ebay?

[WARE THE BEAR!]

I only referenced my website and the BEARak bear because I thought you guys would get a kick out of seeing him as a bear.

[Didn't help Vilsack, did it?]

Any country who would elect somebody "who it would be nice to have a beer with" deserves Homer Simpson for President or better yet, Barney.

[DUmmie polarmaker is now at work on a BEERak bear.]

I'm starting to have bad feelings about this one. . . . Unless something magical happens I think we're going to lose...again.

[Start preparing your excuses!]

UPDATE:

More posts on this thread in the last few hours . . .

My daughter and I . . . We go quite often to the gym together--it has it's share of Neanderthals. We've run into more than one buff young idiot, who thinks voting for McCain a great idea. . . . We are buff and vocal women, singing Obama's praises every chance we get in that atmosphere.

[Buffy the Gym-guy Annoyer.]

The American people, they're not worthy of us. This is one those threads that right wingers quote to prove how arrogant we are.

[You've been reading the DUFUs, haven't you?]

I think Americans have been getting stupider due to the decline in the public school system.

[That must explain why public school graduates are overwhelmingly DEMOCRAT!]

Waaaaaah! The Anerican sheeple! They're not worthy of us!

The DUmmies are a gang of self righteous dolts engaged in an intellectual circle jerk. A self-reinforcing collection of prejudices, hatreds, paranoias and plain stupidity.

Just read that crap, so sophmoric and trite; it's intellecutal foot stamping. Basically they're saying "People who don't agree with us are stupid booger heads!" They're the comments you used to hear on grade school playgrounds.

Yeah, Polarmaker, keep cranking out those "bearak obama" bears to sell. Come November 5th, you won't even be able to give them away.

Polarmaker might not be able to sell "bearak obama" bears come the Denver convention.

Also, I'm an involuntary member of the AFT (American Federation of Teachers) and they and the NEA are totally in the tank for Obama and are, of course, about as far Left as you can get and still be on the planet. No wonder HS graduates don't know much.

Note how it's not "this is one of those threads that demonstrates clearly why conservatives think we are arrogant." It's, "...that right-wingers quote to prove how arrogant we are."

Er.. You wrote the thread, you displayed the arrogance. All the "right-wingers" did was read it. Libs display arrogance, but complain when others point it out. They're only sorry 'cos they got caught, and even then it's still like totally someone else's fault.

Gawd. That's a somewhat arrogant thing to say, isn't it? Define arrogance and tell me you didn't just provide a perfect example. Doesn't arrogance have something to do with lofty superiority? I think we need to speak under the cone of silence.

Arrogance: an attitude of superiority manifested in an overbearing manner or in presumptuous claims or assumptions.

The majority of the DUmmie comments fit perfectly within the definition.

Presumptions and assumptions about the American public (stupid, bitter, racist, etc) are DU's stock and trade.

If you want to attack us that's fine just do it in a coherent way because right now you're just throwing blind haymakers without the possibilty of connecting. Frankly, troglaman's got ya covered in that category.

As it is, all I can do is hang my head and chuckle mirthlessly at the singular irony of them calling others stupid.

OMG! Kayinsane provides a treasure trove of schadenfreude via the whole Bruce Ivins anthrax story!

Bruce Ivins suicided as Hilter’s Rommel

Erwin Rommel knew too much about what Adolf Hitler and the Nazis were doing, so he conspired a plan to assassinate/oust Hitler and Rommel ended up being suicided by the Nazis in the end by taking a cyanide pill given to him by the Nazis...Bruce Ivins also knew too much.

Hatfill was paid off with hush-money and Ivins suicided so the CASE CAN BE CLOSED so the FBI doesn’t have to admit the order to send anthrax out to liberals/democrats came from the White House

And how much were the people in Ivins’ life paid to make him out to be a homicidal maniac who was a disturbed individual who had the mind of a killer and who would definitely fit the profile of the person who committed the anthrax attacks? Huh? How much? Or were the families, friends, co-workers and the therapist lives threatened if they did not cooperate with the FBI/Bush Regime in their game to divert the truth away from them?

Hatfill & Ivins are victims of our government to keep the eyes & finger pointing away from them…the real perpetrators?

And her weak-minded apparachiks never let me down either!

Yup Hydes, I’m into conspiracy theories all right. I wouldn’t put nothing past the Bush administration. I believe they allowed 9/11 to happen and they were behind Anthrax, if you don’t believe this that is your choice, keep your head in your ass

How so? It's exactly what they did in their DU thread. They noted that them saying things like "America is too stupid" to elect their candidate is why others say they're arrogant. They didn't say "maybe we should evaluate whether threads like this indicate that we really are arrogant."

Define arrogance and tell me you didn't just provide a perfect example.

It's been defined by another poster. And no, I didn't. What was arrogant in what I said? Is it inaccurate? Condescending?

Doesn't arrogance have something to do with lofty superiority?

Like claiming the reason a country doesn't elect your political candidates is because everyone's too stupid to know they should have the same political views as yourself?

I think we need to speak under the cone of silence.

...especially when reaching to try and pin stuff on conservative posters.

Well first of all, we're not singular and neither are you bunch of lunatics. Anyone thinking in such terms, i.e. all libtards are singular in their "arrogance, adolescent self pity and profound ignorance," is displaying arrogance. Did you read the definition anon so generously provided? You're not alone:

"Wow! Kayinmaine and her fellow droolers make the DU look like a home of Socratic dialogue." elrond

Sorry. That was you again. Sorry.

Touche. You're making an observation and you're right. Here's my problem. I think your pointing out the obvious. People whine when they're called arrogant, or selfish, or mean, or a slob. But the DUmmies are "singular" in that they are "unique; much beyond average"[Oxford Dictionary]in their foibles. More so than your everyday liberal or conservative.

KayInMaine is not only insane, she's stupid.

Rommel didn't commit suicide because he knew too much about Hitler's actions...he committed suicide because he became part of a plan to assassinate Hitler because he saw what was going to happen if Hitler were not taken out and the plan failed. Suicide was a way to allow him to receive the military honors he had earned and still pay the price for failure against a dictator and likely save his family from being executed as well.

Ivins committed suicide because he knew he was facing justice and couldn't take it like a man. By committing suicide, he raised enough suspicion that his true guilt might never be known.

One thing is indisputable however...innocent men don't kill themselves when faced with an indictment because eventually the truth will win out. Suicide in cases like these are the last desperate act of the guilty.

I get everything but the "goldy, silvery" part.

The arrogant and, forgive me, stupid part mandible's "analogization" is that he pretends to know how we talk. Has he ever spoken to a cave-dweller? I think not. Mandible relies on the Hollywood '50's rendition of cave-dwelling communication, e.g., "Gork make fire."

And?

Here's my problem. I think your pointing out the obvious. People whine when they're called arrogant, or selfish, or mean, or a slob.

They're not whining about being called arrogant in that thread. They're actually identifying the reason people call them arrogant, but instead of doing anything about it, they're simply whining in advance about how people are going to use it to call them arrogant.

If you would like me to reference countless conservatives whining about baseless grand jury indictments, I could do it...and you know I could.

I must confess I've no idea what you're referring to, or how it relates to the DuFus, but feel free to enlarge on this if you'd like to.

I don't think that was your point. You seem to want to make 'whining about being called arrogant' a liberal problem. A liberal trait.

It is a liberal trait. I don't know any conservatives who whine about being called arrogant. We have thicker skin, and we have the introspection needed to be less arrogant.

If that is your message, mandible (best served with a garlic, rosemary, and butter white wine sauce), it sits wrong on the palette. Clever or what.

Hmm.. A mandible claw isn't what I think you think it is. So that might have been slightly less smart than you intended - or since your comment mentioned the palate, it might actually be smarter. I think I just confused myself.

Yes, I did say this. The fact you have no response to it other than to claim it's arrogant suggests its accuracy.

No, it's a dramatic recreation of the thought process. So simple - and yet so wrong. Also a searing, post-modern indictment of the ennui Bush has inflicted on the downtrodden liberal masses, and how that apparently makes them incapable of understanding basic economic principles. Or something.

Well, since it was part of a much longer post which clearly laid out the reasons for high oil prices, and the justification behind drilling to relieve them, I would have thought you might have addressed some of the rest of the post. Apparently I was wrong though, how sad.

It's funny that so many of the DUmmies talk about how the reason why we as Americans are supposedly all stupid is because we have such a poor education system, when the fact of the matter is, a big part of the reason why America's education system has been going downhill so much lately is because of how much it has been taken over by liberals who are generally too busy indoctrinating kids with their twisted political views to bother teaching them such things as reading, math, history, etc.. My mother teaches elementary school, and a few years ago, she left her Teachers' Union because she had finally had enough of how much it had been taken over by ultra- liberals.
